That's very interesting and I really appreciate the thoughtful response. Though I think some of the information is a bit misinformed - I'll avoid getting into that since I can tell that discussion is not welcome. However I do appreciate the insight you've lent me in the Men Right's thought process. Thanks!

Thank you for the welcome. My skin is pretty thick, and as I said before I'm here to learn something. I'm coming here with an open mind - not the intention to preach. I hope you don't mind me asking you a couple questions. Please understand I am not here to attack, just to learn and understand. first when you say ' A lot of us even respect the early suffragettes' does that mean that some of the people here do no support basic women's rights to vote? I only ask because I saw an open invitation fr…

"Well, by now feminism is as discredited as nazism. It's not that all nazis were bad people, but nazis as a group enabled some extreme elements to implement nazism in it's pure form, with terrible results. " I think you could make a stronger case by likening 'feminism' to a religious group. as nplant says below, likening something to nazisim makes your argument sound ridiculous. Feminists are not taking men to the gas chamber, come on. There was a quote in the article I linked before that sugges…

Honestly I was curious. I have a male blogger for my website that showed me this place. We both really interested in men's rights. It is a bit daunting to post here. As you can see I received a lot of negative feedback for not saying much at all but merely identifying as a feminist. I think someone above just likened it to calling myself a Nazi. I certainly didn't come here to preach or anything. Isn't it kind of unfair to just cut off what I have to say because I identify as a feminist?

I also thought the article was really ridiculous. Jezebel had an equally abusive 'how dare she not identify as a feminist!' article. This article from slate I thought summed all that up really well: http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2012/12/04/katy_perry_says_she_s_not_a_feminist_when_are_we_going_to_stop_asking_that.html?fb_ref=sm_fb_plugin_activity I feel like the word feminism gets misused/ misunderstood a lot. I personally identify as a feminist because its definition is equality. Althoug…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
