They’ll respect you eventually once you start living your own life and don’t give a fuck what they think. As long as they feel you’re begging for their acceptance, they’ve got the upper hand. My mother was a bit like that, but not half as bad, yet it still took me years to regain/rebuild my confidence. Create some distance, move out, do your own thing. And lift! :-)

This. It becomes fun after a while, too. Then talk to girls like you would to a janitor or bus driver. Sounds crazy but works like magic.

A golden opportunity. You’ll meet tons of younger girls and, if you play your cards right, you can be the more experienced, more confident guy compared to other men on campus. Get in shape!

There’s an iPhone app called Moment. It tracks down your phone usage and displays it in graphs so it’s easy to see how bad your addiction is. Additionally, you can set goals with reminders to reduce your usage. Highly recommended. Personally I even bought the Pro version for something like 4-5 $/€.

Did a lot of work on this myself. What helped: Drink less caffeine during the day (the most important thing - including some teas, Coca Cola, energy drinks, etc.) You may be more sensitive to caffeine than you think. I personally switched from double shot lattes to cappuccinos and cut back on anything with caffeine that I drink after 5 pm. Never work out or do anything physically challenging in the the last 3-4 hours prior to going to bed (the second most important thing). Many people think it h…

The former "friends girls" wanting to fuck you probably has something to do with age, too. When your SMV is going up fast (thanks to your effort), theirs is coming down (mother nature). (At least this is my experience as a thirtysomething.) Personally I don't see sex as a threat to the friendship, by the way, quite the opposite: now there's a deeper bond and a shared secret of sorts. A good, inspiring post - thanks.

This. Completely ghost her. She will try to raise the stakes, stay quiet especially then.

If your SMV is low, it's definitely helpful to spend time around girls, even if you are friendzoned. You'll learn a lot. However, people with limited social skills usually have to deal with severe scarcity. So very soon they are be tempted to begin attempting to convert these 'friends' to girlfriends. Which almost never works anyway, but especially not in that situation.

Why even bother to unmatch? Doesn't that signal butthurtness? (I don't use Tinder so maybe there's a practical reason for it.)

The world's best known womanizer, James Bond, is (I'd day) about 40. So don't worry about it :-)

Being a woman, she probably reasons that she wasn't stealing but insert-some-bullshit-that-she-genuinely-wants-to-believe-about-herself here. If the guitar guy is an alpha, or plays his act well, it's not impossible. Improbable, sure.

Not so fast. The guitar guy now owns 50% of everything the evil wife got.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
