I get what you're trying to say, but this really isn't much of an issue. Men being fat is okay. Men aren't expected to be tiny thin sex objects, and they therefore get tenfold less fatphobia. Men don't have a plus section, because being overweight is normal/okay. The general men's section usually carries up to 2x or 3x, meanwhile average sized women have to shop in a separate plus sized section. I get that you're trying to be good feminists by focusing on the issues of all sexes, but having your…

Wow a men's rights post that isn't bashing feminism? Amazing

I'm in an ancient Western civ class right now, and throughout the entirety of history, Women had no rights. Their status ranges from property to limited rights citizens. My point was that up until recently, "getting sexual equality" meant "improving women's rights". Only now is the playing field close enough to even that we can really focus on the inequality issues faced by both sexes.

I don't understand how using a word by its definition is ignorant. I care about men's and women's issues, so I am technically a feminist.

I weigh both equally and everyone I've personally known to be a feminist was not a misandrist

Everyone I know is a feminist and none of them support that kind of stuff. Plus, the dictionary backs me up on the definition. if all of my personal experiences plus the official definition suggest one thing, I'll stick to that belief.

I'm not going to drop my support for feminism, just because a few people on the internet misuse the word doesn't change its meaning. My friends and I are all very big feminists.

Oh lovely. Is there a subreddit for the actual dictionary definition of feminism, aka support for equality of the sexes? As a feminist I care a lot about both mens rights issues and women's rights issues. Where would you recommend I post?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
