How do I know its time for a divorce?Sit down with yourself and figure out what changes you're willing to make - weight loss, being more emotionally present, less time on your phone, whatever. Figure out your side of it and start taking whatever actions come out of it. Then sit down with her and lay all of it out - what bothers you about yourself and the changes you're making, what bothers you about the relationship and what changes you both can make to save it. Be willing to listen. Truly give your relationship and marriage a chan… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/05/24 11:47 AM
Out of no where, atleast for meSure, but a responsible, reasonable person shouldn't expect mind reading and should sit down with their spouse and tell them how they're feeling and their list of non-negotiables. Just walking away one random day because enough is enough is bullshit (obviously exceptions exist for abuse or infidelity) | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/05/24 08:22 PM
Everything was ok, suddenly it’s notReading your post and all the comments on here is so heartbreaking- so painful that stuff like this can just happen and just like that life changes forever. All your future hopes and dreams eviscerate just like that. And you're the crazy one if letting years and decades die over communication issues (a very fixable problem imo if you're willing) seems insanely painful. I'm in the same shoes, but just the wife with a walkaway husband. You'll heal eventually. Time does that, I guess. This whole th… | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/05/24 04:41 AM
Made the decision in my head...waiting for the right moment...dont know what to doWhatever you decide is truly valid and I wish you the best of luck. From a wife's perspective I'm just curious - do you have a list of non-negotiable actions/changes you'd need to see to consider staying? And does she straight up not care? Or is this a case where there's just absolutely nothing she can do? | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/05/24 04:32 AM

How could she have healed the hurt, or could she even do that?I'm proud of you for making it this far and working so hard to save your marriage. And also saving yourself by starting treatment. You're doing all you can. Regardless of what happens in the future, you'll always know that. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/05/24 03:51 AM

How could she have healed the hurt, or could she even do that? That's a really tough position to be in. Have you guys tried couple's counseling? | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/05/24 09:44 PM
How could she have healed the hurt, or could she even do that?Oh wow. Well at least you know that you did everything you possibly could. There are no regrets in that. In my case, every conversation with my stbxh since he moved out has been a circular repeat of: Him: your workaholism made me feel neglected and unloved Me: I'm so sorry, and I had no idea because you never told me any of this. Here are x and y changes I'm willing to make. Let's try therapy. Give me a chance to show you and make it up to you Him: I didn't tell you because you were just too str… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/05/24 03:40 AM

How could she have healed the hurt, or could she even do that?I'm so sorry about what you went through. This was interesting to read too because I simultaneously relate to you thinking that cheating or being a bad person would make it make more sense, and also see myself in your stbxw in making other things a priority over you. Forgive me if this is a callous question, but had you guys ever sat down to talk about how neglected you were feeling? She sounds like a deeply unhappy person. Either way, you didn't deserve any of that | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/05/24 08:45 PM

How could she have healed the hurt, or could she even do that? For context, I ask this as the wife to a walkaway husband. I was the breadwinner, working a very stressful job with long hours to provide for a better future. He was either unemployed or underemployed for the last several years. Along the way, life happened and I admit I was very stressed and inattentive to his need for attention and affection. We'd have the occasional date night here and there but I know I was a walking zombie for some time. There was no cheating or abuse, and I never ever gave… | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/05/24 02:42 PM
