I hope that I don't end up divorced to find out but I'm headed there or something worse. My guess was going to be something to the degree of feeling broken and the feeling that nobody likes them; especially younger, possibly hotter women /shrug

He isn’t REALLY asking. My guess is that they haven’t actually split and the are in some kind of counseling or negotiating meeting of some kind and she gaslit him again.

...and that continues to haunt you if you have a kid or have to pay any kind of support. Then you can't truly break free and hurts even worse if you were still in love because then you have to go through her single phase etc. etc. etc. and god forbid the worry if you have a kid and she is going through that. That is a whole other ball of worms to open up. So yea, it is never really just about "the woman".

Man I’m sorry but today was the day and your post is the one that is just making me respond that it isn’t the woman. It is everything. If there was a Thanos finger snap and the woman was poof gone that would be one thing but it’s the time with kids, the life that was built that is destroyed…. All of THAT. The only ones that seem to be able to shake off the BS are the ones who are the “divorced, still have my business and she got a car and that’s it. No kids to worry about.” Kind of thing where t…

I would think that everyone that CAN should go to a mediator just because lawyers will drain you more than your marriage. Also, figure out the laws in your state and how it works, it could be that her pushiness is because she has met someone that she is wanting to have an affair with. That may work in your favor (sounds horrible).

That should literally just supersede everything and allow you to annul and her get nothing

Because women think emotionally. They think their emotions > Truth and Logic. This is why a woman will destroy her life and family for happiness and a man will destroy himself for his family. They make a decision based on emotion, they act on it because they are 100% right. Then when reality hits they push that down and triple-down on their emotions which now have turned to anger that everything is broken and they have convinced themselves it was your fault to begin with.

OP, do not fall for anything from her. IF she all of a sudden wants to give it another chance then one of two things: 1) she is stalling to figure out money etc. etc. etc. 2) she is stalling as the plans with him aren't set yet, waiting on him to leave his chick (if he does) or 3) he left her and she doesn't know what to do now and will be in a new haze as the reality has sank in that it was all a facade and she lost everything. Bottom line, she is fucking someone else, don't have sex with her. …

Exactly. The discussion of a trial separation came up at one point in time in my marriage. I told her flat out that I will never "separate" because it really is not helpful. If you need a break then it is just time to call it all the way. There are no breaks. It isn't a light switch you can just turn on and off. If we cannot work through an issue/issues then there is no point. Same goes for counseling. Women want to go to counseling to have someone tell the man that they are right and the guy is…

ahhh ok. I was just wondering because women typically don't go for men that say they are separated from what I have understood. I was wondering if that was incorrect. Obviously there are things that trump these things but talking averages.

So I'm just curious, what do you tell the women when they ask what your situation is? Do you tell them you are separated or that you are divorced? Just wondering.

This was my understanding as well. If OP's career is still going up then so is everything she gains. The sooner OP ends this thing that is already done the sooner the clock sands run out.

Which is why she needs MORE THERAPY and COUNSELING!!!!!!! I have had many discussions with my wife about this. One of them was "what is it helping?" And what is the timeline to be done? If it is helping then there should be an end right or what is the point? It has been a huge origin of fighting in my house. It got to the point where I was on a session with the guy and called him many names and basically spent the entire time calling him out on his BS. He had no rebuttals but made sure that my w…

So I came to a realization when I was told to go to therapy to work on “my issues” (just go with it). The first meeting I realized that the goal of a therapist that you are seeing by yourself is to work on YOU. It doesn’t care about your marriage. How I realized this was we discussed an argument that happens in my house which is how I wanted to place my keys and wallet somewhere and my wife hates that I do that. So much correct here. I often go into those subreddits and make my stoic post and end up in a 20 reply argument with someone who cannot understand logic at all and just resorts to the common slug lines. You are right about the part at the end. OP needs to move back into the home ASAP and never leave again. I've understood that is rule #1/#2 with the other being to get a lawyer YESTERDAY. It's sad because a separation shouldn't be a "hall pass" to get to do whatever and have an excuse for that. I…

Typically anything relationship related and you are going to be flamed down by women sticking up for women no matter what the case is. It could be that the woman is an A-Hole and straight up cheated and it is still the guy's fault. A cheating woman that's repentant and remorseful? I hear they exist. Never seen one though. If a woman has truly repentant and remorseful then she would not be doing this. So if she is still doing that then she doesn't meet the definition of "repentant" or "remorseful".

...in that women are taught how they are supposed to be treated by a man. Men are taught how to treat women. But nobody teaches a woman how to treat a man in pop culture, it is heresy. You only find that in particular cultures across the globe like Latin countries as well as Asian countries. You also do not have any teaching to men how they should be treated by a woman. One thing that I haven't heard mentioned OP that would also be a reason she would want to do this is Air Tags. If she gives the kid a device, she can then hide Air Tags all in his clothes and bags and such (even shoes) and you would not be alerted. Without the device, you would be alerted after a small amount of time (2 hours so so I believe) it would tell you that an Air Tag has been in your location and you could see information about it. One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is if it is an apple device then technically if the kid has the phone in his/her person then the parent can hide AirTags all over everything the kid has. Typically if they do not check in with "their device", that is a device that can see them that is signed into the iTunes account that is tied to the tags then it will alert everyone that is around it that it exists. Find My is enabled even when the phone is turned off. So the kid could have 10 AirTags th…

Sounds like you are in denial still if you are still attempting to reconcile. Change your mindset before you end up in a bad place. She doesn't want you anymore for whatever reason she feels suits her story. At this point in time if she agrees to reconcile then it would only be to work on you more to go at it again with a hopefully better outcome in her eyes. Don't fall for it.

I have asked this and usually it boils down to "attitude." Like she wants to feel I love her, and not feel like I'm annoyed with her. You need to pry further and find out what that means. What is it that you do/don't do that makes her feel this way. She didn't give you anything you can actually fix. You have to have her cite specific things that you can fix or else you can't. Ok I want to ask you.... Have you sat down with each other and asked: What does being loved look like to you? I think you need to start there. It sounds like you are doing THINGS and she is doing THINGS but neither are doing THINGS that mean anything to one another. First you both need to define these things. Write them down. Ok I am not aware of this legal separation or required separation thing. I still think it should be required counseling and nobody should have a free ride to do anything they want. I also say that there should never be "no fault" divorces. It should always be a fault and severe damages for that fault. Again I don't agree with the "space to think" because you are married... that is the point... you have to be able to work on things with no space. If you can't then you can't be trusted to not just…

Interesting. I always just told my wife that if she wants a separation then we are done. I'm not doing that and that only justifies her doing things against our marriage with a "get away with this scott free" card. Nope. If she wants to do that then she can do that on her own not married to me. It's disgusting and disrespectful. I cannot see any situation where a "separation" is ever good. If you can't work on things while together then it will never work in the long run and if it is to sew wild…

It is 100% TT and Social Media. All these women get super validation from other single women with the whole "you deserve better" mantra along with "the grass is greener" it's vile. Women still don't get it that the cause of so much drama in their lives is literally other women.

Yea like this seems to be the commonly understood universal thing now. Women are way gone and have planned out all of it before they play their hand. They most likely already have an entire separate life setup just waiting to basically just flip the switch to the other life. So here is the thing... when a woman wants a divorce the mentality is that you have wronged them. No matter if you have or have not, in "their reality" you have. I mean... at this point in time, I would say make sure you are recording everything in all common areas of your home with your phone. Make sure to explain the date/time/what is happening. In non-common areas you can record video, but not audio as long as the camera is not hidden. Or unless it is a one-party consent then you are consenting to the recording. Ask a lawyer for sure first before doing any of that but still.

I think he means that just like your divorce was a line of demarcation for your "death" that you speak of, there was a second that happened before when you got married. The old you "died" then. The difference was that this one was by choice. I think he is saying that he is rediscovering that first version that was "lost".

Oh that's true. I guess that I'm assuming she was SAHW/M and when that is the case that is the case.

He is saying it's HER attorney that is the problem. Sounds like he/she keeps dragging things along to keep draining money from him.

No, instead they point the finger at 'incels' instead of looking in the mirror and at one another pointing the finger at the bad actors that are pushing the youth to this outcome.

Isn't that how it always works? That was my understanding.

Yes but as you have pointed out…. He doesn’t understand finances and should not be in charge of them.

Rebound? Nah…. You can use the new Angel Reece “mebound” instead. She trying to get him signed so that when baby daddy gets deported she gonna bounce and take all his money and whatever she has access to.

Do not go beyond “fun” with her. Seriously. My guess would be that he gets deported, she sets up shop with you, as soon as the papers are signed she flees to go be with him. Just bounce now or keep it at fun times.

Well here is an honest question though. If you do give him the $$ to buy it, then wouldn't you run into an issue because how does the timing of all that work because if you give him $$ while they are still married to buy out the house, she immediately gets 1/2 of that money as it came in while married and thus a marital asset. That is also why I said it the way I said it. Setup a shell and buy the house with the shell. Then once they are divorced officially you can do what you want with it. I be…

Well if they have to sell, setup a shell and buy it with the shell. That way she never has to know. Then you can do whatever with it.

Bro…. Did you just up and tell her this one day or has this been a thing and you guys have been trying to work on it? And the whole “Now she’s saying she doesn’t want that for us.” Was that the case before? You didn’t give nearly enough information. Sorry but based on what you wrote, you are not a good communicator and seemingly selfish. It’s your choice but it sounds like you just woke up and decided you didn’t want to be there anymore. Nobody likes that. It sounds like you never actually loved…

I wouldn't say "no chance" they let her move him... who is listed as primary? I've seen tons of stories here of just exactly what you are saying and they still end up being able to do it for one reason or another. Usually it is work related or such. Hopefully your deal already is locked in really really well. You should get out in front of it if you already know and get an order for it BEFORE she just goes and then fights you. You don't want it to have already happened.

So I get where you are coming from and what you are saying. What I mean is that like... most likely you still think the same things are cool that you thought were cool around 16-25. You probably listen to the same music and enjoy the same movies. Yes, absolutely we change. But it normally it would be like this... see a friend with a dirt bike... 20 years ago: "Awesome! Can I take a ride?!" 10 years ago: "That's awesome! You are crazy, I wouldn't do that" Now: "Sick! Remember when we were young a…

Yes, new friends that come with new jobs that are single are just as dangerous.

She started working again, met new friends at work who are single This is it 100%. There is nothing more dangerous to a marriage than single/divorced friends and especially NEW friends. I think the reason is that guys have been trained to stick with their decisions and to work through them and women have been taught (and now reinforced majorly by social media) that they shouldn't have to and that they deserve to be happy no matter what the cost or who they hurt/run over in the process. You can t…

No man.... fight for 100% custody. Fight for all of it. Whatever you can; she will. Also, figure out recording laws in your state. If she always does this, get it on record. Don't do it back to her. Do this especially if you think she would strike you considering you are saying she is becoming mentally worse. My guess is that she fell in love with the other person and he dumped her. Now she wants revenge and you are the only one she can get it with. Fight back with love and kindness and if you c…

Not in today's economy, shit. Sell your house and you either can only afford a smaller version or can't pay for the same size.

I honestly think that it is because guys don't change. We really don't. We hit teenage and college years and we don't change, we just learn to keep that younger self in a jar when needed but let us out and we are right back there again. Women on the other hand change. They are emotional creatures and I do believe that with the way society is today they have the massive advantage "out there". Hell if it wasn't that way, OF wouldn't be a thing. ...and I'm not talking about nudity either. I have fo…

There are a million things people wish they had time to do when they have kids Those people realize also that the thing they want to do is be with the kids without all the requirements of day-to-day: homework, cleaning, cooking, laundry. Just go outside and throw the ball around, rock out to some music etc. All the things I want to do now that I have kids is only because I'm happy, take away that happiness and it all becomes "I just want my kids".

Damnit that I found this. I have always said that individual therapy is not meant for individuals that are dealing with marital problems. The goal is always to make the INDIVIDUAL better and not the MARRIAGE. Generally marital problems are he said/she said or a failure to see eye to eye about something. Example: If a husband (and I use this as an example because we are like this, women aren't) comes home and every day puts his keys and his wallet down in the same exact spot when he comes home fr…
