To war. It's gonna be ugly. But sometimes the truth does prevail.

There's so many things listed as 'violence' that are just common issues that couples will face in a relationship when people get snappy. In addition, a lot of women are just as guilty of those things in most relationships. The fact that witholding sex is 'violence' means probably 60% of married women are emotionally violent lol.

Never completely trust anyone. Does that sound sick? Whatever. I don't even trust myself. I will not go drinking with a girl that I know finds me attractive, because I'm married and value my marriage and know what I'm like when drunk. The only thing that the saying means is that she is aware of the importance of the relationship. I'd expect my wife would claim this saying, and I would too.

'Before TRP even existed.' Yeah. I do. However I agree that TRP has some value in helping guide men towards rediscovering true masculinity. The problem with TRP is the exact same that feminists are having - a subset of the culture is loopy enough to give the whole shebang a bad rap. Achieving that proper balance of A and B isn't something you can catechize. It's not a 10 step program. It's only achieved by experience and to a degree, suffering. When you attempt to force alpha traits, you end up …

No not at all. I'm also similar. I was very beta as a teenager. After some time in the military and some setbacks in life, I naturally evolved into an Alpha - before the concept of TRP even existed. However recently as a married man I've recognized that to truly keep a woman happy you need to have a mix of A and B qualities. The man in general is under attack. Our aggressiveness is one of our defining features, and society has done all it can to blunt that, to rob our young men and boys of it. T…

I mostly agree. I used to go there, I stopped. My only disagreement is this one. 'and who have internalized an alpha mindset ' Being an alpha isn't a mindset. It's a personality that you're born with in my opinion. The main problem I have with TRP isn't the self improvement or valid concerns about the state of masculinity. Nor is it the silly woman hating. It's the idea that you can/should attempt to change your basic personality. Alpha is the same as a type personality. Not everyone has it. Not…

Way to avoid the tough question Forbes. WHY are 1/4 of married men cheating? Instead of just focusing on how women can ensure financial safety how about asking how we can improve our cultural attitude towards marriage and fidelity. Or should we just throw in the towel and just declare monogamy dead. My parents have been faithfully married for 37 years. It's doable. But it isn't easy. Both men and women share the blame here. Men for being so short sighted and focused on sex and women for failing …

All good points. I think it would behoove us to ask what the alternatives to the RP are. As in bringing back positive and assertive masculinity. That doesn't mean hyper jock attitude or being some jacked he man. It means being manly regardless of your personality or interests.

Yeah I'm also military haha. So we're all 'hyper-alpha' clowns. Military men tend to be highly a-type, and value things like loyalty and honestly very highly. Same with my wife too - she was always a bit traditional but after we got together she's become a lot more down those lines. She literally gags when we go back to our hometown haha. And yet, I didn't need the Red Pill for that. I was just myself, and I don't think that trying to force yourself into being 'alpha' will accomplish anything. N…

Mm. I'm a married man. Sort of red pill in that I and my wife are traditional. I was 'red pill' before it existed. However I couldn't get on board with a lot of their stuff. They use a lot of weird terminology and such. The fact they exist just shows how badly lost many men are. Masculinity is often demonized, But at the same time many women demand chivalry and an assertive man. It's confusing for many.

In more or less agree with you OP. I'm a little red pill by nature but some of the crap trp followers say makes me cringe. Both sides are striving to make some sense of a changing culture, a culture that I believe IS trying to shift a paradigm handed down by biology.

I embrace those 'problems' because as they run out of real problems the ones they manufacture become more and more ridiculous - which is hurting their cause for sure. More and more young people are choosing not to identify as feminists (something Jezebel foams at the mouth about) because while feminism used to be a lofty goal that was admirable, it's now about 'men taking up space on the bus.' People aren't completely idiotic, and many are waking up to the fact that manufactured rage is manufact…

'Feminists' don't care about womens oppression. Aid workers, philanthropists and others actually care about women because they focus on other nations where women ARE oppressed or considered second class citizens. High ranking Americans (like your President) will stand there and run their mouths about womens rights and then carry out deep trade ties with Saudi Arabia. Women do have issues - just not so much in First World Nations. That's why most of their complaints immediately strike you as 'fir…

FHRITP has been said to men, black people, white people - it's a meme it actually knows no bounds. I had a hell of an argument with a woman today who called it sexual assault. I'm sure people who are actually raped love that they're categorized under the same offence.

I find it incredibly dismissive to women. It will, as many postulate, make the qualifications of any woman suspect, even if she's the best at what she does. Mandatory hiring of men, women, minorities, majorities, any sort of description is bad. It's a system not based on merit and it undermines many of the fundamentals that our society is based upon. If women aren't represented in certain fields, it's usually because they don't WANT to be. After all, if we're going to have mandatory 30% in that …

The reason is because of three reasons 1) a singular and growing lack of empathy 2) the fact that all problems are relative. So while the problems in a third world country might be running out of grass to eat, The problem of not having wifi appears equally important to a spoiled tumblrina. This again goes back to the lack of empathy. 3) demonization of males. It's all too easy to shit on masculinity - particularly as fewer and fewer positive examples of it exist. This in turn reduces any chance …

Women only spend it if you let them. There are many ways to avoid that. Personally, I'm not materialistic to it doesn't bother me. Physical strength is a massive advantage. It's a bitch too, because with great biceps comes great responsibility (women on the lifeboats first please!) but overall, it's an advantage. In life we are capable of resolving everyday problems much easier, and in the event of a societal collapse (which is inevitable at some point) physical ability will be the determining f…

We DO make more money. However that's because we're willing to do more hours and more dangerous jobs. That said, we still end up with more cash flow IN. Secondly, physical strength to me is a pretty big advantage. While women have definitely learned to circumvent it, there's no denying the sexual dimorphism of our species.

A huge problem with feminism in general has been that instead of raising women up, they instead try to bring men down. There are other problems as well of course, but their attitude is basically a race to a bottom. Another big one is that they refuse to acknowledge that despite some advantages men have, they often pay a massive price for those advantages (higher deaths, higher suicides, higher violence, chance of the draft etc.)

That's strange on so many levels. Personally I also dislike Valentines day, as it is a completely commercially mangled holiday designed to take more money out of my pocket to keep my wife happy, and she only thinks she needs something that day because the same companies told her that she absolutely does. It's sort of obnoxious, but nothing I'd get bent out of shape over.

In case anyone wants a TL;DR: Massive Ad Hominem attack. Not that I am particularly defending Paul Elam as a person, I don't know him. But viciously digging into his past (which sounds troubled) is just typical of the type of toxic feminism that the writer represents. I also love the subtle dig that there's no societal prejuidice or misandry - it's just personal male failure. Try putting that in reverse haha, see how women like it.

Yes, in fact since girls hit puberty faster they tend to be stronger than boys for a little while. In addition to this really being a male insult, this is just a company cashing in on 'girl power' to sell hygiene products. I'm not even overly offended - they're just marketing what capitalism tells them will sell pads.

Not a firm. Lauren Greenfield. She also did a documentary called 'thin' which examines eating disorders among women. She's done a whole bunch of photographic work centered around women's issues, so none of this should be a surprise. Again, I don't believe that the work is harmful or wrong, it's just mildly disingenuous to make it sound like 'like a girl' is an insult to girls. It's not. It's another insult designed for men and boys to tear down other men and boys by challenging their masculinity…

Personally I think 'stop bullying and harassment' is a fools errand. It's all sorts of arrogant to assume that with internet campaigns and legislation we can overwrite natural human behaviour. Instead of teaching our children 'don't do this, don't do that,' I'm going to make sure mine are capable of defending themselves verbally and physically, and instill in them a sense of worth that stands alone from their peers. Easier said than done of course.

'Women are physically weaker then men.' That's not a stereotype. That's a scientific fact. Disregarding a few extreme outliers, sexual dimorphism decrees that male bodies have lower fat, higher muscle building ability and stronger joints. Science and feminism don't get along apparently.
/r/MensRights02/02/15 04:26 AM

Also, I'd love to point out, where's the money being funneled into boys work? Adolescent boys are far more likely to kill themselves than girls, so where's the money to help keep their mental condition healthy? Crap like this is why I get angry.
/r/MensRights02/02/15 04:20 AM

Saying to a guy 'you throw like a girl' is an insult the same reason calling an adult 'childish' is an insult. It is neither intrinsically wrong to be a girl or a child. However, the assumption is that the person being insulted is not one of those things, and as such is either performing poorly or behaving badly. Sexual dimorphism is a thing. Feminists just can't seem to come to terms with science. My fiancee laughed at that commercial. Sure, I can't be pregnant, or breastfeed, but she can't run…

Yes we mentioned that above in another thread I believe - it's hard to imagine less men actually need disability when men take on far more physical and dangerous jobs in general.

I agree - it bears more thought for sure.

Thank you kindly. I was thinking of doing journalism at one point and studied towards it as such. What that did give me is a tendency to read between the story lines. With the absolutely blatant bias in basically all media, you must either aggregate the news yourself, or read deeper into everything.

I am a big fan of Erin Pizzey, and it's terrible the way she was treated for stepping out of line with the group think. I'm personally in a great relationship with a respectful woman, so I don't really fit in with a lot of the red pill, mgtow types, but I am concerned about the cultural impact that the demonization of masculinity and men in general has had. I do my best in face to face interaction to champion positive masculinity and challenge false assumptions about male rights.
/r/MensRights19/01/15 06:17 PM
6

Yes, the permanent bias is strong against men, particularly when it comes to physical violence. Because a man is generally capable of far more harm (we're just stronger) the assumption is wrongly made that women are not capable of it at all. This is so wrong, and studies that have debunked it have been silenced or ignored. This is my number one area of interest when it comes to mens rights - the lack of respect for abused / attacked men. My friend was assaulted by a woman with a pair of scissors…

Some ok ideas, but to be brutally honest, they seem too close to the pick up artist types. A lot of kids too that are convinced they're 'alpha' because they say so lol. Also there's a lot of bitterness and downright DARE I SAY IT misogyny. Overall I steer generally clear - I'm very concerned about feminism's effects on masculinity and the demonization of men, as well as the unique issues men face - I don't see TRP doing much to help with that. The Canadian military, which I am a part of, recently changed their standards to be the same for all ages and sexes. Although the standard isn't very high, at least there's no discrimination now. When I got in we had women facing a significantly lower standard than us, which was insane, considering it was not weight based but isometric IE pushups, running situps etc. The reason I found that ridiculous was because why should a woman have to be able to push her own body less? The reason I'm not likely to believe their statistics is the amount of women I know. And a few have had unpleasant situations, but none have actually been raped. And I grew up in a pretty rough city. Just read this! Boris Johnson is the man. (I'm assuming they mean the mayor). I'm astonished that anyone could attack that genius of a man for being a little socially inept. Would I wear that shirt? No, and I wouldn't be allowed to at work. But I'm not a brilliant scientist. I was disappointed to see the way they tried to crush him. Very pathetic.

Yeah but you're missing the point. The Israelites did those terrible things yes, but are they, or Christians doing them now? That's the difference. No one is shitting on muslims for behaving in a tribal manner in 700 AD. They're shitting on them for doing it in 2014.

I recently fiercely attacked the notion at work, and online, that statutory rape of boys was not a big deal as they 'probably wanted it anyways.' There are so many logical holes in that argument, that I'm sure I don't need to list them. However my big one is the concept that boys or men cannot suffer from the same mental trauma as girls who are in the same 'consensual but statutory' situation. Yes at the time a boy may just high five his bros and be pumped that he layed the hot gym teacher. Howe…

This says so much. Not only would two men have been better suited as officers here, it also says that people aren't afraid of English cops since they don't carry guns. At least I wouldn't be. Also, their justice system seems to be effed. Assaulted two cops and got community service? What a joke.

I have a good friend who went to jail for a few weeks because he palm struck his girlfriend when she attacked him with scissors. He pushed her down, got to the bathroom, locked it and called the cops. They threw him down and cuffed him. Didn't help him that she can cry on command, and he's a 6'4 gentle giant. After this happened he left the province to work up north. Poor bastard.

Yeah, as much as I hate to see a woman knocked out, if he's getting charged for assault, it should aggravated assault, and she should get assault as well. Just because he's capable of knocking her out with one shot doesn't mean that she should be able to attack him. If they really don't want men to hit women when they are attacked, then they should give up their whining for good.

Sad but true. Men NEED the return of gentleman clubs. I don't mean strippers and heavy drinking. I mean an actual gentlemans club. A nice, calming interior, a bar stocked with fine whiskeys, scotch, gin and rum. A pool table or too, nice armchairs... A place where men can talk politics and smoke cigars. I love talking politics, and most of the time, you can only do it on the internet. It's so much easier to do it in person. I want the gentlemans club back.

It's pretty ridiculous, and fishy as well. She claims that 'she had a bad haircut somewhere else and wanted it fixed, and didn't know about the male only policy.' Really. Why would you not complain to the place that ruined it in the first place. Plus, she's a womans studies teacher, AND she works for CBC. What a lot of coincidences. Men should be allowed to have their spaces too. I have no problem with women only clubs or groups, or gyms or hair stylists. I just want the same for men.

Well I don't know how it works down in the US, but I can tell you that a pre-nup is a waste of paper in Canada. A lawyer explained to me that family court here will basically piss on it and laugh at you. It's literally not even worth getting.
/r/MensRights04/09/14 01:46 PM

If women don't want to possibly get sexually assaulted, they shouldn't get wasted and hook up. If guys don't want to get falsely accused they shouldn't get wasted and / or hook up with a wasted woman. I mean, it's pretty simple. I tell my little brothers the same thing. A little discretion goes a long way. You never know if she's going to regret in the morning and claim rape.

It's a perfect example of society expecting men to just 'take it' and be stoic. It shows that male on male violence, or female on male violence is hilarious and acceptable. How many rom-coms have you watched where the girl decks the 'douchebag' character, or another person? I can name many just off the top of my head. It doesn't matter to people - that's comedy. Reverse the roles, and watch the cinema go silent. Of course people are justifying it. Not only is Jay-z not the most likeable person, …

Yes. I'd have to dig to see if it's actual law, but I can confirm that it is how the situations are actually handled by police. My friend was attacked by his crazy gf with a pair of scissors, and he is a massive dude (gentle giant type you know what I mean) and then locked himself in the bathroom and called the cops. She answered the door in tears. He was cuffed and taken in.
/r/MensRights13/05/14 12:41 PM

The bigger then her thing is huge. It's a massive problem. Here in Canada we don't have primary aggressor laws - we have most likely to cause harm. In other words, if your woman attacks you in a fit, and you call the cops, you're getting cuffed, because you are more CAPABLE of causing harm if you choose to. It's almost pre-crime arresting. It's disgusting, and my friends experience with it is one of the reasons that I became interested in mens rights.

I read that in the comment section of the newspaper online. Tons of women saying - he must have done something awful. The best quote - A person is justified to protect themselves from violence. And violence is not always physical, nor is physical violence the worst kind. In other words, His verbal or emotional violence (theoretical) makes it ok for her to assault him.

Actually I find RP people to be very idealistic. They talk about always maintaining frame and treating people a certain way, but the fact is, while I do agree with a lot of RP principles, you can't run a relationship like that all the time. That said, I believe in the RP theory of basic relationships. One of the most successful marriages I've seen is my parents (going strong at 37 years, he takes her out once a week for a date) and they are very red pill.

Maybe the RP is actually populated by virgins lol, but I think it's something that most guys understand. If they don't, they don't keep their lover. No one is forced to stay in a relationshit (rare exceptions) so if they stay, it's because they weighed the pros against the cons. The same goes for men though. If they actually feel like their needs won't be met, they can always pop smoke and push of the X. However, doing that once married is risky for a man...

In response to your first paragraph: do you think MEN aren't being killed and exploited for labour?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/14 11:35 PM

Incorrect. There are many people who have pointed out that in fact, a woman held a great deal of power in a patriarchal society. There's even a passage in Proverbs (in the Bible) that specifically details how the wife was running the entire estate and the household.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/14 11:33 PM
1

Agreed. I'm afraid that you're projecting your bad experiences with some men onto men in general. Most men from what I hear take pride in their ability to please a woman. In answer to the question though - does a married man have a reasonable expectation of frequent sex? I think the answer is yes, but the key word is reasonable. And I don't think the word man is necessary. This would have been a much more interesting question if 'man' was replaced by 'person.'
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/14 11:32 PM

They do when it involves motor vehicles lol. Just kidding. However there's no denying that men and womens brains are wired differently and are better at certain things. Trying to deny biology is probably what created TRP in the first place. The highest levels of IQs are male dominated. The lowest are also male dominated. Females have a much more modest spread.

Of course. I firmly believe that in LTR or LT FWB the sex will be better. LTFWB is stupid though, because in the many cases I have seen (and a few that I've been a part of) one person will invariably fall. Sometimes both which is neat, but rare. I don't think women are being insolent when they say they aren't in the mood. That's silly. That's why a skilled man can create the mood. A back rub out of the blue, a smack on the ass while she gets up, a compliment etc. It builds the mood through the d…

Interesting thoughts, but when you refer to the teaching of someone to be decent at sex, it sounds like you're talking about one night stands. I mean, as a person in an LTR, we've already figured out what feels good in terms of 'cadence and stroke.' Sexual compatability should be established before a marriage, just my opinion. Just so you're aware, men don't always enjoy sex either. There is definitely such a thing as bad sex for men.

Apparently I'm not privileged. But I took some of them literally. For example, I HAVE been told I was going to hell by my parents many times because I live with my fiancé lol. Also I grew up poor and was homeless for a bit. High school dropout - bought my first house at 25, got my first car at 26. That's what happens when you take control of your life instead of bemoaning your disadvantages.
/r/MensRights12/04/14 07:20 PM

Ah well, mens rights continues to grow both on and off line, and feminists keep writing articles about how it's troublesome that 'more and more women don't identify as feminists.' Probably not; I know they face some discrimination. But that's all aside from the point - the point being that they HAVE advocacy groups all over the place for them. Name a single college or university in Canada that doesn't have an LGBTQIA (it continues to grooooow) center. They all do. How many have a mens center? They have their own lobby. This is for men, in general. Not for white men, black men, gay men, straight men. For men. Full stop.
/r/MensRights11/04/14 05:42 PM

I believe in welcoming all men or women to the sub. If they're interested in fighting for mens rights, that's all that matters. But I don't agree that we should shift our focus to explicitly focus on the troubles of a minority. The minorities already have focus of their own. If someones interested in gay issues, a gay sub definitely already exists. This is for mens rights, period. No discussion really needed.

Basically that's what I'm saying. But even in your own home your kids or wife could offend you. I have a problem with hate speech laws, and it isn't because I support hate speech. It's because hate speech laws are a form of restraint on free speech, and freedom of expression is extremely important to me. I don't know what happened to the left that they are no longer about individual freedom and liberty, but it's really sad. (Canadian btw.)

Feminists are inextricably linked to the 'new left'. Just like our right wing is barely recognizable, the new left is no longer about liberty and freedom. As a straight dude, I still believe you can face the same issues we do. You could be treated poorly for being a man, regardless of your orientation. It's not as though people can necessarily tell you're gay by looking at you, and also most extreme feminists will NOT give you a pass for being gay. You still could suffer in the legal system if a woman and you get into an altercation. Statistics are your friend. 'Sources' are vague to me, because you can find a source that will argue virtually any postition, while statistics are the meat of any argument, and generally accurate (although they too can be skewed.) At any rate, hit the FAQ on the side bar, start out by challenging their assumptions. If someone says 'men have plenty of rights and women are being discriminated against' -Challenge the wage gap with the real numbers. -Point out how men have no reproductive rights. -P…

For me personally it's all about taking a vocal stand, both on and off line. Personally I take the fight more to the real world. Internet talk is just internet talk. I make an effort to engage the people I know and educate them on the issues that men face which are ignored, and challenge their stereotypes. I do this with family, friends and at work. If you're in post secondary, the oppurtunities to help are endless.

What insults? Have I personally insulted you? If so then I apologize. Regressive. Really. I counter that with realistic. It's all good to live in a pie in the sky world, but once the real one starts knocking, you have to deal with the repercussions of the social engineering. Higher suicide rates, higher divorce rates, a complete lack of desire for men to be married, etc. Not to mention the bloody wasteland of hundreds of millions of aborted fetuses not considered human. Some people are completely unable to compartmentalize. Which can be a good thing, but it fails to consider the fact that rational adults are capable of separating their beliefs from their actions. I wasn't upset. To me though, I would never show up in a gay sub and demand they start addressing my issues. Coming here with the 'sell me your movement' attitude sort of rubs me the wrong way. It's childs play to recognize the difference between a man and a woman and the futility of trying to change these things. I wish I had a 12 inch dick. I don't. Should I run and get surgery? 'In addition to abnormal brain chemistry, abnormalities in brain structure may also play a role in schizophrenia. Enlarged brain ventricles are seen in some schizophrenics, indicating a deficit in the volume of brain tissue. There is also evidence of abnormally low activity in the frontal lobe, the area of the brain responsible for planning, reasoning, and decision-making.' In other words - brain structure differences or a hormonal difference does not prove a lack of mental disorder.

That said, it doesn't prove that it isn't a disorder. There are differences in brain structure for people with a variety of mental illnesses. Even if it isn't a mental disorder, I'll bite on that. I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying that there are other groups that deal with that. What do you want man? This isn't the Mens Rights Anti Racism Anti Homophobia page. It's the mens rights page. A cursory glance at the sub title should really have gotten you this.

We ARE saying that. We focus on men, in general. That's an umbrella term that covers gay men and black men. What you're saying is that we need to somehow pay lip service to the fact that other groups exist within ours. Trans men - well their problems to be honest are a little unique and not always related to systematic degradation of the rest of men. That's an entire other kettle of fish.
/r/MensRights09/04/14 01:10 AM

No they won't be ignored. You think that people need 'special attention' and I firmly disagree. /r/MensRights09/04/14 01:07 AM

How are we appropriating it? He's STILL a man. There are other groups out there that will fight on the racial side of justice. We are only concerned about discrimination that occurs because of being a man. How is this so hard to grasp? Could there be other underlying causes? Sure we aren't magicians. But that doesn't mean we should change our raison de etre. Your unwillingness to grasp this does suggest trolling.
/r/MensRights09/04/14 01:05 AM

I DON'T support the trans community. But that doesn't mean I hate them, nor am I indicative of the overall community here. The only thing that binds us together here is being supportive of mens issues. I mean, we have quite a few women here that get it.

Finally we agree. That's what we're all saying. That's what I was saying. We don't do the divide. We don't segregate and say - today we're focusing on black men. Or today we're focusing on gay men. MEN IN GENERAL. As an umbrella term.

Where do you live, Texas? I don't see any people treating gays like that up here lol. How is it bullshit? There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of interest groups, lobbies, campus groups that all focus on gay issues. MEN IN GENERAL. That means ALL men. Are we clear on that? But no you had to focus right in on straight men. Because you're clearly obsessed with sexuality. Honestly, we don't care about sexuality here. We care about mens issues, that's it.

You're pushing for special attention, and that sir is disgusting.

Now you know the agony that we feel in the military. Pte Suzy isn't going to be able to fire her side arm while one arm dragging my 210 pound carcass with about 60 pounds of kit. She won't be able to do it at all. Don't worry though, she can do 50 pushups. Whoop de doo. One standard, for all ages and sexes please.

'Well of course it's mostly women'. These women just dismantled a fundmental block of feminism in two seconds. Different fields attract men or women. DUH. Some fields have a decent mix, but ones like military, engineering attract men, while PR, travel etc attract women. There are 2 reasons in my humble opinion for this. 1 cultural expectation 2 difference in the way in which our brains our wired and the different skills that we naturally tend to possess. Or -- ' More men die in the military than women, you say? Because a literal fraction of the armed forces is women, and it wasn't very long ago that women weren't considered strong enough. Excellent post. I headed over to TRP yesterday, and they made a few decent points that I agreed with, but the attitude (and I told them this) struck me as a bit immature. It's never a great idea to counter extremism (modern feminism) with more extremism. I like this sub, it's fairly well balanced and more or less stays on point - men have issues, we want to talk about them.

And just because women in Western countries can now vote and work doesn't mean they should put up with still being treated like shit. All we truly know in life is that which we have experienced. Females face unique difficulties. Men face unique difficulties. I am egalitarian. We have reached a balance, and yet you still want to play victim. Not happening.

The idea of needing diamonds is an advertising construct made by debeers, which owns what, 95 percent of the worlds diamonds. Here's what you honestly need to do. And I mean this. You need to pull up the data that shows that women are actually more likely to be domestically abusive. It's out there. I'm sure the FAQ section may even have something on it. As I recall, women are slightly more likely to abuse in a relationship. Then you need to print that shit out, stand up in class somehow, and point out how biased that book is.

I do believe that NAFALT can be true - but not as to what they believe, as to how they express it. Remember Big Red? My SO is no feminist, she can't stand them. But early on I had to make known the way I am. That I'm blunt and truthful, and that in the long run the pros of being so outweigh the cons. I believe that the roles that have traditionally existed for men and women exist for a reason, beyond just cultural norms. While there are exceptions, I believe we are biologically wired to have different roles. I do believe in a traditional sense of femininity.
