Yeah, that's the kicker: I want to have kids when I want to have kids not dictated by when it's convenient for the school district or when it's simply 'easier' for them to not pay me for maternity leave. sigh But, such is the life we choose... Still, I wish for better maternity and paternity leave (paid, like civilised nations, god forbid)!

I can't take stuff that wasn't written the prior seriously when it comes to legal information moreso regarding schools. Any similar information from 2015?

I'd prefer if you were wrong.

That's awful. As a soon to be married woman, it would kill me if for whatever reason my husband couldn't take off of work to be a father to our future kids. On another note, I get two months unpaid maternity leave with the school district I work for. I'll probably never take it. I can't afford two months of no pay. :/

As a woman going into the teaching field, this simply breaks my heart. :/

That will never happen. Every district has a zero tolerance policy. I've seen people fired for less than this. Even if she gets to keep her credential no district can legally hire a sex offender.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
