1	"Pink tax" or more like sensible male shoppers? Women’s shirts are generally smaller than men’s shirts and don’t fit on the traditional buck or press that allows dry cleaners to pump out hundreds of pressed shirts a day. Since they’re too small they have to be hand pressed, which takes time and labor. That’s for your regular ol’ cotton button up. A man bringing in the exact shirt was most likely assumed to be a man’s shirt, clothes aren’t scrutinized that closely when dropped off. Grew up in family business of dry cleaning.
