This is a pretty lazy way to wrap up what could’ve been an interesting conversation🤷🏻‍♀️ You seem bitter that the sub didn’t just gobble up the content you posted. Username does not check out😂

Couldn’t have said it better! I tried to stay neutral in my judgements, but if we’re being real she’s got on stripper heels and clothes that scream “check out my hot dancer body”! Again, she does have a bangin’ body and she clearly worked very hard for ALL her success, but her message/image does not seem to align with FDS values. Am I supposed to be trying to stay sexy my whole fuckin’ life? Am I worthless if I don’t have abs?

I respectfully disagree. For the women who struggle with wanting external validation, especially in the sex-appeal department, this is precisely why we turn to FDS and apply the STRATEGY. We aim to decenter men from our lives as much as possible and allow ourselves be the source of our own validation. I think you’ve resolved this quite nicely😅

Grooming and putting in effort to remain attractive are absolutely necessary, I agree with you on that. This woman has spent her life taking care of herself and it shows. It’s impressive and motivating, for sure! I simply can’t tell if she’s doing it for herself or others, and that’s where the lines get blurred. Why does she need to prove to everyone that she’s sexy? And if she wants to fight ageism, why not highlight the physical/emotional/etc. changes she’s undergone over the years AND show ho…

There is no standard for “acting her age” other than what’s natural - so no shaming. Your language is strong, accusative, snarky and not very conducive to discussion. Here are questions I asked myself: Does she genuinely enjoy hanging out with women 40 years her junior? Does she hide her white hair or does she actually love changing wigs and dressing according to recent trends when she dances, as opposed to what trended in her younger years? If the answer to all of these and more is yes, then th…

Tbh I’m not going to watch this. The idea that a woman at ANY AGE has to wear short dresses with cutouts and high heels, have hairless legs, a wrinkle-less face and beachy-blonde dyed hair to be “sexy” AKA worthy of the male gaze is astoundingly twisted. If she were doing it for herself I’d cheer her on. But by putting herself out here like this it’s clear she’s looking for male validation even at her age and that doesn’t align with my values, and likely not with FDS values. Thoughts? EDIT: I wa…

Thank you for this!! It’s so good to know that persistence will (hopefully) allow me to meet a man who IS willing to put in the effort! Can I ask you something about your HVM? I’m curious what about him made you willing to talk to him at the café. When guys approach me in public, I’m usually very turned off because they’re judging me based off of looks and nothing else. How did he start the conversation?

You’re right. It’s mind boggling how sweet and caring he made himself seem, and despite my efforts to keep check on his effort/enthusiasm and follow FDS guidelines I somehow found myself getting anxious over him within just a few days. Why did I even care? 🤦🏻‍♀️Truly a blessing to have this community. It helped me recognize his strategy realllll quick and peace out before he could do any real damage.

This should be higher up. A man who doesn’t do his part to keep his woman safe AND unpregnant does not deserve to sleep with her. OP, I am very sorry for the difficult decision you are now facing, but don’t let his opinion dictate how you move forward. I’m not sure what made him seem HVM all this time, but it seems very LV to be having unprotected sex because you’d like (and had the girl agree) to abort, and assume the girl will follow through on this. This brings up a very good point and reminds me of a close family friend who recently had a heart attack. He (58) was in bed with his wife (55?) and when she rolled over to say "good night" she noticed his face was blue. She yelled for her daughters to call 911 and he was taken to the hospital. After 5 minutes(!!!) of no oxygen, he survived but was in a medical coma for about a week. Like some frickin' miracle he awoke and his first words were asking for chocolate and coffee. But I digress. Wow wow wow what a read. Thank you for this! I don't usually indulge in celebrity gossip, but THAT was one hell of a ride. It was eye-opening to the messy world of celebrity connections. But it leaves me with so many questions... the IG models I get, but what are all these wealthy, talented, famous women doing fighting over this dirty sock? The Karjenners/Hadids/Selena do not need extra clout, and they don't need a man's wealth to help them get by. So what in the hell gives?! These poor girls do…

Late to the party, but "Down With Love" has a lot of FDS elements at its core, though the ending is not exactly aligned with FDS. Still very much worth a watch! The costumes, script and music make up for what the plot lacks.

I needed to read this, thank you. It’s so easy to revert back to the friendly, appoachable, down-to-earth girl I naturally am for fear of coming off as a “bitch”. But that side of me should be saved for the HVM who has earned my warmth👑
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/11/21 05:07 AM

My logic and attitude towards OLD is a projection of my own experience with dating... A HVW like me is a catch and perfectly normal: I want a relationship and I'm going to be a fantastic partner, but haven't found the right person yet. I'm using OLD in hopes of making that happen. So perhaps a HVM with the same attitude/qualities, somewhere amongst the sea of LVM, is lurking and hoping to find a HVW too? It's plausible, and I'm sifting through all the dirt 'til I find my golden chunk.

I think it’s difficult to define which concepts/laws are truly Jewish because so much of what we consider to be halachically required is actually a result of centuries of commentary and scholarly discourse. That said, there definitely are aspects of Judaism that are not totally respectful of women - Jewish kings were allowed to have many wives, to name one. But I also think that calling it misogynistic is somewhat an exaggeration… Science and technology have totally reformed our understanding of…

Agreed, but I don't think it would be fair to say that the ultra-orthodox community is a representation of the religion. I think the zealots of any religion are more like outliers with a skewed view of their religion and its purpose.

I would exclude Jusaism from the “Abrahamic” bunch, honestly. Just to name a couple: According to Jewish law, sex is the woman’s right and it is considered to be the man’s duty to please her. Every Friday night, traditionally, a man sings a song to his wife to praise her beauty and hard work (Eshet Hayil). There is so much in relation to menstruation, sex itself, and marriage dynamics that not only acknowledges the importance of the woman but also favors her needs and desires over those of the m…

If he genuinely wants to stay in your life, there's no need for a title. He can prove his sincerity by making the effort to stay in touch and woo you as best as he can while you're away. He needs to earn your affections and trust. No need to break up, but also no need to go exclusive. Say it as it is... You are into him, hut he's not your top priority and you have experiences to be had, friends to be made, etc. The future is unknown, and you are still unsure about him.

When my parents divorced, my dad willingly gave my mom the house and half his bank account. He also gave 20% more in monthly child support than legally required. Seeing this (as a preteen) set the bar sky high. Let the chorus sing: IF HE’S STINGY, HE DOES NOT LOVE YOU.

Remember when that poor 16-year-old married a 40 something-year-old and it was all over the tabloids? Yeah, well shockingly years later she publicly told the story of how he groomed her. I mean, we all knew she was kind of messed up and the extreme plastic surgeries did't bode well for her either, but how is this kind of stuff glorified?! She was a victim and deserved to be RESCUED from that psycho scrote. EDIT: Courtney Stodden was her name, I think

Wtf this is why I'm not into casual sex, and why I can't just "enjoy the date for what it is". Every man I view as a potential romantic interest is also a contender for being the father of my children...I am NOT taking dates lightly or considering long-term situationships. Children are entire new worlds of their own that will impact the future of our planet - they are lives that need tending and direction. No man in my life will be their father unless he can truly step up to that role. Also, mig…

For those of you who are curious whether this is real or not, you’ll be happy to find out that the Jewish attitude towards sex in marriage is that the woman has full control. It’s a super generic recommendation, but if you’re curious you can read “Kosher Sex” by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. It’s a good start! EDIT: for a shorter read, learn about the commandment of pleasuring your wife at a frequency that is decided by your profession 👏🏻

Exactly. And for HV women things can be flipped (for me they are, anyhow). I’m on the road a lot and work long hours running my own business, so between work calls/messages and me trying to breathe in peace I might deal with personal messages..once a day? And I prioritize, so the lame “How’s it going?” get pushed off to the weekend.

I'm 6'1" myself and this is SUCH a relatable situation. I literally wouldn't mind a 5'10 guy (in fact I've found shorter guys' personalities to be 20% better for each inch under six feet) but every damn time they just HAVE to bring it up. Like why?? No one's laughing here. This is simply an example of how little some women expect of their men and how they refer to this dysfunctional dynamic as "healthy". In what world is "he says hi to me almost every day" a good relationship to show as an example to your teenage children?

Wow, I just don't even know what to say. Cannot imagine how hurt and helpless you must've felt while married to that jerk. I hope you're happy and with someone who loves you now!

The funny thing is, he's probably not a Mr. McDreamy himself. Some men are absolutely delusional🤦🏻‍♀️

This👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 If he's active on social media and there's not even so much as a mention of you, he's trash. If he really loved you and recognized how wonderful you are, he would not be able to hold back from parading around the fact that you are together. And if he's not the type to post a ton of personal stuff, he would at least put that fact that he's taken in his bio. A question mark in his relationship status leaves space for other women to swoop in, and that could be what he's hoping for.

It's like that old saying: Forget love - I'd like to fall in chocolate!

I'm not disregarding your opinion, I'm just trying to distinguish the pickmeisha behavior typical of yellow fever from kpopper behaviors :)

Yellow fever is completely separate from Kpop fandom. As a 2nd-gen (2011-2014) stan I can confidently say that most kpop fans are going against the status quo by listening to foreign music and therefore by nature are not the types to conform to society’s expectations, meaning that they don’t give a crap what guys want - they do what they want and what they deem to be good for them. Not to mention that a ton of kpop songs are about empowerment and independence.

Even the busiest of people stop to check the clock. If he can check the clock, he sure as heck can check on you.
