I think people try to create "safe zones" in which they can indulge in skillduggery. Race baiting, racism etc. When outsiders don't respect these so called safe spaces, you see behavior such as this. In reality, you have 2 victims. Words hurt just, not as bad as straight punches to your face, lol. Some say, words hurt more that physical pain. Something to the do with being able to identify the physical pain versus an all encompassing pain that is emotional. Ask anyone who is a"cutter".
