In Minnesota: Assault 1st degree is 20 years. Assault with a deadly weapon is 10 years. Malicious Punishment of a Child is 10 years. I think hanging is attempted murder, so Assault 1. I'm going to assume she hit those people while fleeing the police (which itself is a 1 year sentence) so assault with a deadly weapon x 2? So by my math that's 41 years? Article says she faced 13 years. Even the D.A. took it easy on her.

Headlines: Keanu Reeves used hypnosis to impersonate woman's husband in order to impregnate her, victim claims. The reason it's OPs headline and not mine is only because dude took a fucking D.N.A. test to "prove" his innocence.
