2	Why isn't this man being approved for housing? Over pension age with serious health problems. Typically what happens is that it is a dynamic list arranged by need. So some people just stay at the bottom because as new people come along, they are judged to have more need and so these new people start higher on the list from the beginning of their time on the list. I know there are a lot of horror stories when it comes to the VA. I think there are multiple factors involved (slow changing due to be government agency, difficulty getting funding, previously unable to dismiss incompetent employees due to rules, etc.) I think I've been very lucky as I've rarely had issues in Seattle and Spokane VAs. 1	Dozens of surgeries at Denver VA hospital put off because of doctor shortage: most veterans are men. The VA has some funding issues. The VASH program where I'm living is almost useless because of the combination of high housing costs and being underfunded. Per the number in the sources of that article, 48.2 percent were boys and 51.5 percent were girls abused overall (2016. Page 28 of report.) I only looked through the 2016 report as it's irritating to read long documents on mobile for me. 11	Spotted this in my college's men bathroom I got asked three or four times last weekend when I had to visit the hospital for a kidney stone. Holy... kidney stones are no joke. The stone has passed into my bladder so they released me with some prescriptions. At first I was confused. I wasn't expecting them to ask. I was asked by pretty much everyone I saw. Hmm.
