4	Men are not monsters: Last week three of my four boys were herded into school-sponsored assemblies and asked to stand, raise their hands and pledge to never, ever hurt a woman. Their female classmates weren’t required to make a similar pledge. Their female classmates weren’t required to make a similar pledge. Growing up my dad told me never to hit women because you're stronger than them. Fair enough. On the flip side my mom told my sisters not to hit men...because we're stronger than them. Fair enough as well. These days men are told the same thing, you're stronger don't hit women, but women are not, they're told that men are not allowed to hit them...and that's it.
