They push their husbands around and are tough as nails. This is really not what I observe of the ones with men outside their culture. Maybe more likely for the ones married within.

I think Chinese women are actually known to be more vocal compared to other East Asian women. They're more educated, etc. I've even heard misogynistic men say "avoid Chinese women". I briefly met a guy who told me he hated his ex (who was Chinese...) but it sounded like she just stood up for herself.

Dude you’re very ignorant and your ignorance is showing. Lose most of your eggs at 30 lmao. Omg. Go back to the 1600s please.

Oh I know. It's been a thing for years now, it's nothing new. It does make me sad and makes me weary about investing time and energy into friendships with men, just because inevitably they have to pull away. And it does hurt when they kind of take off, even if I understand. I've even lost female friends over their boyfriends finding me attractive. It's happening with a "friend" now, though honestly I kind of think she's calculating and wanted to befriend me just to make sure I wasn't competition…

Men have fathered very mentally unwell and disabled children at that age, sure. If they're even able to. Men now have far less sperm and T than men of generations past did, as well. Do your research on it. Men at 25 now are not like men at 25 in the past.

Yes but that applies to men too. There's no guarantee you'll have a healthy child after 40.

Yep very true. And same applies to men.

I think this is the only reasonable comment that implies there's a wall. It's true that it varies depending on the woman. Not all women age the same way. I'd even say mid 50s. My mom looked amazing in her early-mid 50s. She only started to look less young because she had some health issues pop up due to some accidents. She still looks amazing for her 60s.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/23 11:00 PM

Right? My grandma birthed kids in her 50s. 😭 I do not wanna do that in my 50s, honestly not even really in my 40s either, but there is time, Everyone's genes are different. A lot of men actually can't have kids anymore. Modern lifestyles have ruined sperm.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/23 10:59 PM
2

Um. Men definitely have a biological clock. Your sperm goes down with age. Yes, at 40, you can "possibly have" a kid, but your sperm is not great, unless you lead an extremely healthy lifestyle, don't drink, etc. Even then... PS - y'all generally break down in health earlier, die earlier... women are not down to sign up for that unless they're in it for the cash or the passport.

My sister still looks gooooood and she has 2 kids though. I keep forgetting she's in her late 30s.

My grandma literally had children in her early 50s. Lord knows I do not want to birth children at that age lol, but it's totally possible. My mom had to get her tubes tied because she kept getting preggo and didn't want to be preggo in her mid 40s. We're not all the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/23 10:55 PM

Yeah same, I'm 33 and men always assume I'm MAX 25. I've even had guys in their 20s think I was 22/23. 40 year old men think I'm 22. Also, same re men my age assuming I was way way younger lol. I've had to start verbalizing my age so they know it's safe. I even had one guy say "I know you're WAY younger than me so I don't wanna come off as creepy" but the man is like 5 years older than me at the very most.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/23 10:54 PM

I mean that's just not true. I'm 33 and men in my "league" are asking me out right now. I'm actually older than 3 of the ones that are currently talking to me. One is just a year older.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/23 10:52 PM

Also, it depends on the individual. We don't all age the same way. We all don't start off at the same point.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/23 10:50 PM

60%? Pretty sure it's a way lower number than that.

35 is not the wall in any way. That was considered the wall back in the 1600s among some unhealthy people and back then the life expectancy was like.. 50. I have multiple women in my family who had kids WAY past 40.. I'm talking 50. And their kids are fine. Men also have a biological clock. Male sperm degrades. Degraded sperm causes autism and schizophrenia among many other things.

Men have a biological clock too though.

I'm 33. The issue isn't really about looks. I look like I'm 25 max according to the men I know, and I also can see it. Not really about makeup either because these men have all seen me without makeup... I do look young, I don't "need" makeup thankfully. The issue is finding good, attractive, established men my age who are single. This one is a bit tougher than it was when I was 24, and much tougher than when I was 22 (minus the established bit). Although the men I meet now are all established ba…

I've actually noticed that men that seem sexually attracted to me but have girlfriends tend to stay away from me. Single men who are sexually attracted to me will invite me out to do things all the time. I've seen it in my own life now. The guys who invite me out to do stuff with them (who are single) are interested in me on some level, and I know that. Even the one or two who semi-recently had a breakup, who previously avoided me, now invite me to do stuff. I do not think men befriend women sol…

Right? I'm in my early 30s. I don't go for men in the mid 20s but lol none of those guys would even call me a cougar. I look the same age as women their age do. That said, to an 18 year old? I can see how I'd be seen as a cougar. Because 18 year olds look like children to me. Even though I supposedly pass as an 18-20 year old.

I find casual dating still comes with expectations whereas just making friends and hanging out with friends is a way to just focus on being yourself and connecting with the person in front of you, rather than expecting something out of it. In the best scenarios, you feel comfortable enough to fully be yourself and vice versa and then if it's an actual connection, that becomes very apparent very quickly. Also, personally, I don't like to have sex with 99% of men I date because I will only have se…

I actually currently mostly focus on making friendships via natural ways, even if it's a bit harder than swiping on an app because it requires real life commitment (showing up somewhere, etc). And looking to see if something natural forms from that. I've had a fair few guys interested just via hobby groups and natural life that I've actually dated more from that than the apps this year. Would agree that it's nice to know someone as a person before dating them.

I mean, it's better if we just don't have these abusers on this planet or in normal societies, but you don't see anyone advocating to kill them or throw them on a deserted island.

Yeah exactly this. Women don't say it to your face lol. I have a friend who calls other women "sluts" all the time and I actually find it kind of off-putting that she does this, but yeah, never to the person's face. She always acts super nice to people's faces.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 06:44 PM

Yeah I'm not gonna lie, when I was a virgin, I did see promiscuous women as "slutty" and didn't respect them as much. But I was also witnessing women with boyfriends cheat on their boyfriends, so in that sense, it was a valid take. It also did seem like unfair competition because these women were contributing to hookup culture, which I never wanted to partake in. The only reason hookup culture took off was because women and men were willing to participate, so any woman who did participate just f…

I understand this logic but it's actually kind of a gross way of looking at another human being. It honestly alludes to not being able to love someone, for real. And I say this as someone who is not promiscuous.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 06:37 PM
1

Men don't care lol, I've seen a ton of promiscuous women get "chosen". They're probably just lying to the guy. I have a friend who's nice but she pretends to not be pro hookup culture even though the way she got her current bf was by hooking up with him and aggressively offering sex/pursuing him. And I'm pretty sure she hooked up a fair bit in high school and university. I'm guessing she's lying to her current bf. But he seems to be fine with it so. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybe you do have a point with this. I just think a lot of women are willing to not settle, or they might partner up with a guy who isn't ideal and decide they don't want kids. I've noticed it in a few couples - when the guy just isn't really her idea of super attractive, she's less inclined to want kids. It's weird because I meet great women who somehow don't have the best dude but then I meet shitty women with great guys... it seems so unjust. Then these uggo women (I mean also on the inside) …

It's the opposite actually. Couples that got together young, 9 times out of 10, the guy is way way better looking. I actually find older men way pickier with looks. Couples that get together 30+, the woman is usually way prettier.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 06:18 PM

That's an unfair generalization. A lot of men project qualities onto attractive women (or women they just find attractive) that aren't true, simply due to this insecurity, then they self-select out of dating that woman and justify it with "well, the pretty ones aren't fun". People are multi-dimensional. It's good to try to get to know someone properly and not assume things.

IMO the most beautiful women are not a part of the normal dating market because their appeal is global and they're able to date celebrities, millionaires, and travel around the world. lol I've had the option to date a celeb or two before and have been approached by wealthy men, did travel, but I'm part of the "normal" dating market. I don't even think I'm one of the most beautiful women in the world, I actually have days where I wonder if I'm unattractive. This is a reach. I've met some really b…

I feel like people should stop assuming things about people based on looks. You can be attractive and be a good person with a good personality and you can be not so cute and not have a great personality. If people really wanna judge, judge based off how someone styles themselves, not their natural attractiveness. Even then, some people don’t necessarily match their “look”. Because a lot of them want women who are insecure. It helps soothe their own insecurity. Weak men want insecure women. Strong men want strong women. And I mean mentally and emotionally strong. Any man I’ve met who was threatened by confidence in a woman usually disowned his own power and was coming from a place of fear.

Not true for me. I’ve had men who were super super attractive try, but I have standards for myself and I only like sleeping with someone if I’m super serious and interested. But if I was a free for all type, yeah I’d probably say this is true. So, really, comes down to a woman’s own morals.

I meant more so the equivalent desirable trait, not necessarily equal across all boards. Though I do think single parents only wanting non parents is a strange unrealistic one. Also, if you’re attractive, it’s ok to desire that in a partner… but it becomes unrealistic if you’re not attractive. Then it’s just sad. Another one is extroversion - I think people are split on that one but I don’t see it as weird if an extrovert prefers an introvert or vice versa.. there’s no “better” in that category.…

100% true! A lot of it is down to looks and access. And the individual guy. Men with a more anxious attachment style compromise on looks (and anything, really) waaay more than secure men do, because they just don't want to be abandoned... and they perceive less attractive women as less likely to abandon them. Not necessarily true to be honest, especially with how egotistical plain women are, but that's what they think in their minds. I've even heard these men say "pretty women usually don't have…

I don't know what the correct answer is. My ex and I discussed 75% (him) and 25% (me) and that seemed fair. Ideally I'd want a guy who wants to take on a bit more than me in this way because being a woman is just.. more expensive, and I like the idea of being with someone who wants me to feel a bit relaxed in this way. It's like a love language thing. I'm coming to accept that I think maybe a man taking care of me financially a bit is something I do appreciate and would appreciate a lot. It does…

There's a difference between being vulnerable and being available. I need someone who's emotionally available. But if he struggles with being vulnerable, that's OK, we can work through it as trust is built. I don't want a guy who's emotionally turbulent (because I am not either), but everyone has their moments and I would hope they can confide in me.

I personally don't really care what your standards are and I'm a woman. You can like what you like as long as you're able to actually attract it and be held to the same standard. I don't fit your criteria either but I don't really care because I wouldn't want a guy like you (and I don't mean that offensively, just that... we don't have similar values). I care about fitting the criteria of men I actually desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 06:20 PM

I agree. It comes down to who you're able to attract, for both genders. 6'5 is too tall for me personally lol (I've dated multiple men who were 6'4-6'6, I just can't do it again) and never a legit millionaire as far as I knew (but definitely the sons of millionaires, but I'm also the daughter of millionaires). But I've been able to go on dates and get into relationships with the types of men I'd want... the reason it didn't work out was because of one major flaw in them I couldn't accept or tole…

I nearly married the 666 and I've dated the 666 more than once. It's funny because once I started actually dating, I even noticed other people start offering men who fit this criteria more and nothing less. But I know women who aim for that and I'm sorry but.. they're not gonna get it. And that's the nicest way to say that.

Honestly, I don't know anyone IRL who actually judges men's standards. The general consensus is that men like hot women and we all accept that. But then again, where I live, I see non-hot women with hot men, so... IDK. But I'm the product of a marriage between a man who was good looking in his youth but then did not age as well as his wife did (and my mom was a beauty queen). So I've just always expected men to value me for my looks, and that has definitely been the case. As a woman, what seems …

I don't "shit test" taller men less. If I am to "test" (mainly for trust) it's more so a guy who comes off as a bit off in that way, just based off my gut feeling or if I feel they might be narcissistic. But I won't date someone I genuinely don't trust. Yeah I think it's because the taller guys are just more confident/can handle me more if that makes sense.. they can still psych themselves out, I've had every ex admit they're insecure (yes, tall ones too) or even behave oddly due to insecurity. …

No I agree that the men she's looking for is a bit insane, but there are other guys out there who would be fine if she was open to it. Being 37 is not the end of the world... I've met men in their early 30s who even dated older women, for some reason. Not hating, but more surprised, I guess it's not a huge dealbreaker. And no, these women weren't hot.

It is true for a lot of guys. Not all guys. I've met attractive men with serious insecurities, and my ex who was WAY above average was convinced he was super ugly compared to me (which was.. bizarre). The BDD seems to hit attractive men more than average men.

That's unfairly harsh. There's no reason why a guy her age wouldn't want a relationship with her if he also doesn't want kids. A well-adjusted guy is not chasing after way younger women.

Men and women have different hormones though. We all have diff genes. When men claim they just want really skinny with no curves, I'm a bit confused by that because that actually leans more masculine based off masculine hormone profiles (it's easier for men and people with higher testosterone levels to be leaner in a non-curvy way). Women with healthy hormone balances are generally a bit curvy, and I don't mean obese or fat when I say curvy. I mean you're more likely to have boobs, butt, a bit o…

Lol it's 100% a preference in this case, because I can tell you the vast majority of men disagree with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 08:16 AM

So they're thinner, I can't argue with that, but do they have any boobs or ass or does that not matter to you? Is their face even pretty or does that not matter to you? I understand some SEA women are beautiful but honestly the vast majority aren't really all that attractive aesthetically. Or does that matter less to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 08:14 PM

There are much much less women in SEA willing to pay for dates or anything. I don't know but if you read the Thailand subreddits, a lot of the men there complain about women wanting their money lol.. it's like dude, why are you surprised?! But also, a lot of women in SEA are literally prostitutes, so.. again, why are they surprised?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 08:13 PM

But men prefer Asians and Latinas. So it's not really as unheard of as you think. lol. For looks or for how these women are willing to basically do anything? I've been told I look Latina but I also look vaguely Asian sometimes (but with Sofia Vergara's body, definitely not the type of body Asian girls usually have)... I don't even think the men who supposedly prefer these women are talking about preferring their looks. They just know these women are easier. I find American women (I'm Canadian bu…

/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 07:54 PM

Are you talking about the same woman, or different women? Like, are you assuming a woman in her 30s is only with you because she "is coming back" or is it an actual ex of yours? Two different things. I've never gone back to an ex, ever, not even the really attractive ones. Actually honestly, my most serious ex was probably a "Chad" and I was the one who left him, and he's the one who still tries to get back together.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 07:52 PM

It really depends. I'm 5'4 or 5'5 and I used to always like men around 5'8. But these guys would always get the most insecure, treat me the worst because of their insecurity. I actually didn't really like taller (over 6'1) initially. But after a couple of bad experiences with men around 5'8, taller men would pursue me more and they treated me better. To this day, any 5'8 man I like, ends up treating me like garbage (because of his own shit) but the tall men literally pursue me to marry them... s…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 07:49 PM

Looks matter the most. If a guy isn't physically attractive at all, there's no chance I'm interested in him romantically. Unfortunately. If he's good looking (enough for me), then personality does become more important at that point, same with his character. Isn't that kind of how men operate too? Looks first, then personality? I've never lied about this but it surprises me that people think women are supposed to not care at all, that isn't fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 07:46 PM

I'm sorry but if you're a good looking, attractive man, and you go to SEA to find a wife, there's something off about you. And you might think it's normal, but we're always going to know there is something off. Either you have a tiny penis or you want someone you can't actually relate to for what ever reason, most likely for power or a fear of intimacy thing. Also, the age thing - I'm in my early 30s and have no issues attracting men in their 20s, 30s and 40s. I don't really care to get into arg…

Ehh depends on where you live. I live in Vancouver and I see unattractive or plain (at best) women with attractive men all the time. I mean, legitimately some fat women with tall and buff dudes, or women with 0 curves and not even a pretty face, with tall and good looking guys. Women being prettier than their male partners might be more of an east coast thing lol. Here on the west coast it's like ugly women have as much of a shot as hot women do. It's super bizarre.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 07:39 PM
1

Exactly this. But I've seen a lot of couples lately that don't make sense, mainly really attractive men with women who really aren't all that, and I often attribute it to a lack of confidence in the guy. So some women for sure capitalize on that, which is a shame, because honestly I think these guys just need more confidence/self-esteem, not an ugly partner lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 09:12 PM
1

Yup, a passive personality honestly doesn't work unless the guy is willing to date waaaaay down looks-wise, because ugly girls will definitely chase a hot guy if they let her.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 08:53 PM

Yeah so he probably had some sort of trauma that led to this behaviour.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 08:52 PM

Yeah so when I met my ex, I honestly wondered why he was single. And he was maybe the only man I had ever met at that point where I wondered how he could be single. We did end up in a relationship, but being in a relationship with him, I figured it out lol. It's because he was legit crazy. He had no issue getting sexual attention, even romantic attention, but the women he did choose (and he only seriously chose 2 women before me and was with them each for 5 years) eventually got sick of him, tha…

Huh lol It isn't for me though, I expect the same treatment whether he's tall or short. I do think some men are kind of surprised to meet someone like me and I can tell if a tall guy/attractive guy is used to women basically having no standards for him, because they move differently and they always come across as lazy or entitled or shocked that a woman doesn't worship them for being tall. My only serious partner was 6'3 and he definitely did not have the lazy mindset, that's why we actually wer…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 08:40 PM

Ehhh I've dated several tall guys. You need more than that. And height isn't everything, but I might be one of those women who doesn't actually have a 6' requirement, which is funny because tall men seem to pursue me the most. Maybe they know I care less than other women do or that I'm not as shallow as the ones who chase them for their height.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 07:58 PM

In our view, the bar is low because we surpass requirements/expectations all the time, like we're constantly taking on the mental load and organizing load, we do well in school (not everyone but a good amount of us), we're raised to consider other people's needs, to be emotionally open, etc... so we notice that a lot of men struggle in these areas and wonder why it's so hard for them to keep up. To be fair, a lot of men do seriously struggle in these areas. And if they just simply had more self-…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 06:43 PM

I mean, people can build a family and stuff even if they've had a travel fling or two lol. It doesn't stop your ability to do it.. the bigger issue is whether or not you want a family, and whether or not you're willing to put in the work for that. Lots of hoes (men and women) become parents. Honestly maybe even more likely to do so than non-hoes lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 06:37 PM

Yeah I still haven't had a travel fling lol, not sex-wise, maybe just flirting or the guy asking me out and me saying no. 💀
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 06:29 PM
1

I honestly don't really flirt as much anymore until I've already figured out I like someone. I don't wanna be that girl who just flirts with everyone/leads them on because I used to be a big flirt. My personality and confidence are great! I've been told I come across as very confident by everyone, so I generally assume the issue is they assume I'll shoot them down lol... considering I've had a few guys tell me this, I assume I must come across as VERY confident.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 06:29 PM

I dont know if that's normal lol. I lived abroad and was a virgin the entire time, although I'm sure some people believe I was on a tour.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 04:43 AM

I'm a millennial woman and I definitely never went into a hookup phase, even though I easily could have slept with hundreds of attractive men and that's not an underestimate. I actually was a virgin until my late 20s and I felt a lot of shame around still being a virgin... that said, I think having fears of intimacy/holding hands is a bit worrying. If you're in your mid 20s and up, that's something that needs to be overcome. IDK maybe I just fit into Gen Z more though.

Lol no we never respect the confidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 04:26 AM

Eh some guys definitely do shoot their shot WAY high at first, but that's not all guys. I've seen guys shoot their shot with women I'd deem as less appealing than them, but those are the women they think are on their level. Sometimes it's also just whichever woman seems easiest or is friendliest/flirty. I think for women, a lot of average women are just kind of delusional for some reason, but I would say attractive women usually don't shoot as high.

I think it's definitely timing and luck for a lot of people. One thing that's always been an issue for me, is men seem to project a lot of crap onto me. I mean, I've been put on a pedestal so many times, men might assume I have "tons of men hitting on you all the time", or assuming I have a boyfriend already, or that I'd reject them... so it's not super easy sometimes, despite the popular thought that a pretty woman or attractive woman can get into a solid relationship easily. A lot of men have …

/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 04:08 AM

Men on reddit are different I think, because yeah, most men IRL I've met definitely seem to prefer big boobs. On here it's like "I like small boobs better" for some reason but that definitely is not how men in the wild operate or seem to. Or maybe I'm just paying attention to attractive men, and they seem to care about it.

I wasn't talking about supermodel-level good looking lol. Just people who are good looking on the same level as these guys are or slightly more. What counts as being really pampered? I mean, I'll admit, especially in the past, if I look back at my dating history... I really didn't do much in early dating phases or relationships. I do feel the need to do more now because I want closer to an equal partnership and I'm not narcissistic in the way I was back then, but I still had many other strong at…

I like tall men because I've mostly been pursued by them and I've just had more relationships with them, so it's become a formed habit in my brain. I actually started off really liking men at around 5'8 but my experiences with them have been SO BAD in comparison. Also, I'm not a petite skinny little girl who has the measurements of a 12 year old. I have an hourglass figure, I'm still a size small or medium but I just find that shorter/smaller men make me feel larger and I do also think they migh…

Eh i think it's fair to a certain extent, but virginity is not fair to expect post-24 IMO. Especially if the woman is super attractive. But I don't mind if a guy says to a woman "yeah sorry but you've slept with 30 men and you had many casual relationships, that goes against my values" as long as he upholds the same values. It's the hypocrisy that I don't like.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 03:44 AM

prefer an average looking women because that will make things easier for him This is generally the answer. There are a lot of pretty women who are also smart and great. It has little to do with "oh but she lacks this". Less good looking women aren't generally smarter or nicer or anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 03:41 AM
1

Well maybe men should be celibate until they find the one then?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 03:39 AM

Yes they do though. Not all of them but some of them do. And it's often the guys who really shouldn't shoot their shot who do, whereas guys who might have a shot often second guess themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 02:23 AM

Maybe a lot of women like that but what matters is how men respond. I think if those men were like "yeah to be honest, you're not attractive enough" to the plain Janes or the women who truly don't look good without makeup on for example, you'd see things equalize more. The issue is a lot of those guys have their own ego issues or self-esteem issues too, so they often choose the woman who's less threatening to them. Just offering a different perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 02:19 AM

- The modern women actually were forced to be both men and women. Career oriented, bring $, stay fit, attractive, have personality etc... At times, ticking all these aspects don't even guarantee her that she will get a good mate. While men are still expected to be ONLY men. And they barely manage to fulfill their part of the deal. I will say though, I see the best looking guys often with the most mediocre women, so I don't know why guys are blaming women for this - that's actually the guy's faul…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 02:15 AM

As a woman, I definitely see a lot of not so attractive women (by my metrics though) with very attractive men… on social media, in person etc. and it’s not to say these women don’t have some appeal, it’s just that they’re average at best. Makeup and grooming go a long way for these people, whereas for some of us, makeup sometimes detracts from our looks or we have to be extra careful because we may look better with minimal amounts or not much. Men look how they look, and you see it upfront more.…

According to who? A 20-something dude? Sure but I don't care about that, plus that's not true considering I've had 20-something guys try with me in the last couple of years. Also, my "appeal" has not declined with 30-something men. They still try, too. In fact, they still try with me over the 20-somethings that go for them. I don't buy it. When you're rare, you're rare, and maybe I'm egotistical or maybe I just know my worth, but my value has not gone down. Maybe post-40 it will in the child-bea…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/23 08:40 PM

I don't think my "SMV" has changed at all. I still get the same perks as I did in my 20s, when I dress up in the same way, etc. If we're referring to just sex appeal, that hasn't changed at all. If we're referring to family-building, of course that is a factor, but we factor in a man's age as well. Don't pretend it goes one way. Intelligent women generally prefer men closer to their age. And no, men cannot father children indefinitely. There is such a thing as your sperm not being of high qualit…

She did admittedly go for the highest type of career, but mine is still good and I still make over 100k a year. But besides that, I'm actually a lot kinder and more charismatic, and arguably better looking... so, why does she deserve her husband whereas I'm supposed to not aim for someone above average? I mean, I'm happy for her, but I don't see why I'd have a different outcome. I've …

I think both men and women generally physically peak by age 35 or so, give or take a few years depending on the individual. I've met women who absolutely looked better at 19 than they did at 30, but the same goes for men too. There seems to be a few different types of people. One is the person who looked amazing by age 18 and was fully formed, but then maybe didn't age well by 30-ish. The other is the person who looked awkward or young AF as a teen but then looked really good at 30 (I classify m…

Just depends on the person. And lol I have time to have kids... you guys don't know much about fertility. I love attention from hot men around my age. Not even gonna lie about that lol. This is only true if I'm single and trying to find a partner. If I'm in a relationship, I'm flattered, but I don't want them to try anything because it causes issues in a relationship (and I have experienced that, it really is burdensome). But it's cool when attractive men your age notice you. Having said that, I know women who love attention from it seems like most men around their age, even men they aren't attracte…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/23 06:58 AM

Everyone ages. Someone being 25 today doesn't mean they won't be 35 in 10 years. Someone being average means they're average, too. If you're the kind of guy with no standards (assuming you're above average, which honestly, you probably aren't), then fine. And who told you that you can marry a 25 year old, anyway? Where have you gotten this idea from? Are you dating one right now? Are you very wealthy and she's very broke? Women generally don't go for much older men. We like men our age.

Honestly I've never met an Asian woman who looked 25 at 35. They usually look around their age, maybe give or take 3-5 years, but being 35 and looking 30 isn't a massive feat or anything. I have one friend who's filipina and she's 45, and to me, she does look younger, but she looks maybe 39 rather than 45, not 35 or 30. But she's pretty rare and she's very fit, and she has a natural tan. Black women age differently. They can look preserved but IMO they don't look younger. I actually find they lo…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/23 09:38 PM

Listen, I'm in my early 30s. None of us are chasing men 40+. I'm super young energy-wise and fun to be around, too. If you think marrying a mid 30s woman is you compromising, that's honestly a joke. That woman is still a lot younger than you are.

Exactly this. I'm 32 and I'm not married. I'm well aware that I'm past the average age to get married but I had opportunities before. I had childhood trauma that prevented me from wanting a close relationship for a while, then had to unpack that, figure out my career, my life, etc... there's no way in hell I am choosing to settle now, even though I'm passed the average age for it. I did everything else WAY ahead of schedule, this is the one aspect of my life that's "behind schedule", but that do…

It honestly depends on the person, their genes, ethnicity, lifestyle, etc. This doesn't track with my personal experience. I think 40+ would be lying, unless you have a serious baby face and a lot of facial fat and it goes away with age. I've seen women like that but they're in the minority and they're also really fit people. Personally, I had a very fat face for a lot of my 20s, I'm 32 and I do honestly generally look better since I turned 28 (but I was pretty in my early 20s too). But even then, I would probably not see myself as hotter at 45 than now at 32 lol. For me I do find some women can be pretty delusional…

I think it's a little weird to not be into people your own age. It signals you objectify the other gender. It applies to women who only date older or younger men too. Not wanting someone with a promiscuous past is fair if you uphold that standard too. Not wanting to get married just signals a lack of maturity in a guy, so that's not really about money (and if it is... oof). Not wanting her to have a night out with friends is a lifestyle issue. Just make sure you choose wisely or state expectatio…

I don't know. 18-24 is really young. I see people that age sometimes and just see people who don't look fully formed, and I mean in a not-good way.. people tend to form into their looks into their mid 20s, late 20s, the lucky ones look good post-30 (and I really think the most attractive people are hot 30-somethings but you have to have aged really well to get there). Your fertility lasts way past 24 lol, that isn't a valid argument. If you're dumb and wanna believe that, that's not my fault.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/23 09:01 PM

More attractive men are sometimes weirdly not picky at all about looks. I live in a city where I see average/plain/unattractive women with attractive men. It's actually kind of annoying. I feel like less attractive men aren't as used to really attractive women being interested in them so they chase a bit more when there seems to be some friendliness there. I do think men are more open body type-wise but that's just because they're hornier. Talk to any really really smart man (or a man less ruled…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/23 08:59 PM

I looked underage til I was about 23 or 24. Honestly I'm 32 now and I do look a lot younger than I am (and no I'm not delusional lol, I get told this by men all the time, and I believe them considering they don't really lie about looks/attraction whereas women will sometimes lie to other women). It's weird but when I pass as younger, older men get weirder... I have an hourglass figure though and I'd say we get hit on way more (in general) than women who are "petite" or women who are large.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/23 08:56 PM

Lol I'm a 32 year old woman and I get checked out ALL the time, hit on all the time. 30 is not "post wall" nor the wall. If there's this sort of wall, it's way older than you think it is. Even 40-45 year old women get attention if they're attractive. Even attractive 50 year olds do... I know because my mom still got "special" male attention past 50, she still has men hit on her. It's really weird to witness because she's in her 60s but yeah, if you're hot, there will always be people interested …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/23 08:51 PM

Right, I keep hearing this, but I've seen a lot of less attractive men really aim for the stars... then they ignore the more plain women, who would happily date them. I know this guy in my hobby group who does like me. He's not unattractive, but not super super hot. Decent height, decently in shape, decent face and all that, but not hot. He has women come up to him to talk to him, and he seems friendly with them, but these women are like.. thirsty lol. He still ultimately ignores them (romantica…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/23 08:44 PM

Very creeped out all the time. Older men are extra weird because the younger you look, the more into you they seem to be, which is even weirder.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/23 08:39 PM

As a woman, I understand how this sort of attention can feel great to people. At first, it does feel great, but then you quickly learn what it is and get over it. You almost get annoyed by it at a certain point. I love when attractive (sorry, yes, that's the caveat, I'm neutral to men my age who aren't as attractive, and very annoyed by much older men who do this) men my age look at me or check me out or smile at me or say something nice, but being cat called is something I still personally don'…

I wouldn’t say most, but a good amount would prefer not to have kids if the societal aspects of it were stripped (status, the push to become a mom etc). I wouldn’t say 50% of women even, just maybe 1/4? Or maybe 1/3? But tbh the earth doesn’t need everyone having 10 kids, either.

If you think you are average but have no luck dating. This indicates that you are indeed not average. You’re actually below average. Not true. But why are passport bros always trying to sell everyone on it instead of just going? I think they're a bunch of clowns who are more than likely going to strike out hard, but I'm certainly not gonna stop them. What are they waiting for? Just go already. I think because it's embarrassing for them. Even they know it's embarrassing.

I'm a woman and I just want to find my partner attractive, to feel like we're good friends, to feel like I trust him, respect him, love him. I want the same in return. I'm not socially embarrassed if someone doesn't find my partner hot, but more so confused, like "huh? I totally think he's hot". I've definitely dated a couple of guys that others thought weren't hot enough for me, and I thought that was weird. The other thing is, I've had other men hit on me with one or two of these guys with me.…

This is actually... so true lol. Also, they say people are getting less attractive with each generation?! I don't know if that's actually true (doubt it) but it's possible that it was a thing for a few generations, when men were more so basically given a mate, rather than earning one. You have men who aren't all that desirable sometimes getting really desirable women, and then of course that plays out the way you might expect it to. I actually think it suits men to "compete", it's built into the…

I've had a lot of people tell me I have to have kids supposedly, but modern society makes it so hard to be a mom and to actually spend time with your kids and not suffer constantly for it... whether that be financially, or your health, or what ever. Some countries do it better - they give parents a social life despite being parents, or parents can take kids to more places, or there's more support in general.

I actually somewhat agree with one aspect of this... I do feel that a lot of sociopathic and narcissistic people are definitely reproducing more. Same with people with lower IQs and people who are religious nutjobs. I know a lot of really kind, empathetic people who aren't going to have kids, because they're genuinely worried their future imaginary kids would never be able to get by with the climate crisis, financial issues, etc. Like... some of the best people I know aren't having kids. These p…

No I mean I’ve met women who do prefer short men. But it’s not a generally objectively attractive trait, just like being fat as a woman isn’t a generally objectively attractive trait. They’re niches. I know that sounds harsh but we’re referring to conventional attractiveness here, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/23 05:20 AM
1

Hmm I know men who aren’t into either of those things at all. Maybe a lot of women are vocal about preferences but you see a lot of women with short or fat guys. Men online might be cool with those things out of desperation, but I doubt most men actually want someone like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 09:15 PM

I mean… I get it. Being a smaller man or being a fat man isn’t attractive. Why is that shocking? Are men attracted to fat women or really abnormally tall women?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/23 03:30 PM

Again, those guys look nothing alike lol. They're just good looking but they're all different ethnicities, colouring etc. So you're telling me men don't find nice bodies (nice attributes like good boobs, a good butt, a small waist, toned legs etc) attractive more than anything? Of course they do. But also keep in mind, men are WAY hornier in general. Older men (35+) seem to be way pickier re looks because they're just less horny all the time, that's when you start to see that it's not so differe…

They're both bad for someone's well-being, but being put in the "I'll have sex with you and lead you on" zone is the worst. That actually does psychologically damage women and traumatizes them. I have friends who just couldn't trust certain men at all because of that happening to them. Personally, I'm fortunate that I've avoided that (I mean I'm also VERY conservative sexually haha, unless I'm really into someone and dating them seriously) and I do think my style of dating helps with that, but i…

Yeah the men go "oh so you don't like me?" or "I'm getting mixed signals" no my dude, I don't know you well enough to totally dive in! Also, I'm emotional for sure (I have emotions!) but I'm also logical. I'd say that's a great thing, but for these guys, it can almost confuse them. They're like "wait you aren't going to totally ignore the long-term implications of big decisions?" lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/23 06:44 AM

They're all attractive of course, but they look nothing alike. They just have similar traits - tall, fit, good bone structure, good hair, good features, that kind of thing. Men are attracted to the same thing (besides the height thing)!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/23 06:43 AM
1

Idk tbh. I'm athletic and outdoorsy so maybe that's a start? I do know athletic girls who still happen to be pretty fake, but the outdoorsy thing (I feel) attracts people who are a little more in tune with themselves and less focused on ego. But yeah I'd start there rather than trying to find someone at a club or some social climbing event.

Right there. In plain text. “…men were more likely than women to fall in love at first sight, to want to start a family.” Honestly as a woman this can actually be pretty scary to be on the receiving end of lol. I've experienced it more than once where it seemed like the guy just fell hard very quickly. It can almost feel like love bombing but some men legit fall fastttttt.

Eh IDK. I'm a woman and honestly, I didn't wanna get married until I was about 24? And it was because my older sibling got married and seemed happy in their marriage, so it made me think it could be worth it. But I've honestly kind of tried to avoid it for a lot of my life despite sort of wanting it too, I have older female relatives who honestly seem like they'd be livin it up nowadays if they were young now. It's clear they NEVER wanted to be married lol. I also know men who REALLY want to be …
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/23 06:21 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/23 06:16 AM

It depends on the woman you talk to. I'm not gonna pretend those women don't exist because I know they do, I'm related to women like that too. And even I find them fake (I'm a woman) and find it insufferable. Some of us actually live authentically, but we tend to live in congruence with our values, we're the really honest ones who might make a "social blunder" (no, not in the autistic sense, in the sense of just.. not understanding why other people wanna live in cognitive dissonance), the ones o…

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/23 06:07 AM

I don’t ever have sex early on. My body is sacred and sex means a lot to me. It’s a way to enjoy yourself but it’s also a way to bond, and also a way to create life. It’s really downplayed. That said, if I am into a guy, I’ll wanna kiss him within the first 5 or 6 dates. Making out for sure will happen by a month. I must be very slow compared to most modern daters.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 04:48 AM
1

Uhhh I don’t want a guy to try to sleep with me on the first date, but if I sense he’s not attracted to me or seems like he isn’t, of course I wouldn’t be interested. Some men hide this a lot but in my opinion, they should show they’re attracted in a subtle way. And then there are guys who literally try to go in for the kids way too soon.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 04:45 AM

What counts as the top 30%? Like, what criteria do these guys have? It depends on how old she is and how attractive she is, and how attractive the guys are. But personally, no, I haven't had issues getting sexual attention from attractive guys. If I really want it, I can get it, but I spend so much of my time actively getting them to not look at me sexually lol.

Yeah this. I like going on dates early on. I've actually had men want to go on the dates more than me sometimes. But once we're together and we're serious and I'm committed to you, I chill out a lot. I'm happy with very simple things in a relationship, actually. I don't mean I have no standards, just that good sex, good food, good finances, laughing together, going outside, these things make me happy. I don't need big fancy things to be happy.

Then the pandemic happened and it wasn't an option to really go out besides go hiking and biking. Now I'd say going out is nice because it's new experiences. How old were those women? I feel like most women want a relationship after a certain age, but early 20s, people are focusing on other things. We're brought up to focus on our careers now and to not put as much focus on men because of all the conditioning etc, plus it's smart to get your own money now. That's fair that you prefer women your own age and also weird no one said yes, but a lot of people nowadays are so uncomfortable forming relationships. Men and women both. Was it a money thing? Looks thing? What do you think it was? You seem reasonable and I'm sure you could find someone.

I used to not want them but then really wanted them, but then went back to being unsure. I've always said no to the men I've dated so far, and I'm honestly still not sure. Okay how many women date several guys who are 6'3 lmao. I have enough of a sample size at this point. I'm 5'4 or 5'5. 5'8 is pretty short compared to me, and it's a lot shorter than most men in my family. It's happened several times to me though. I'm now seeing someone who's 6'3, he's the 5th guy I've seen who's this height. All of them (except 1, but he was insane and I had to end it because of that) wanted to get serious with me and were very intentional very quickly... and they're just less neurotic around me. Hmm I don't think a lot of guys specifically look for really short girls though. I know because I have female friends who are like... 4'11 or 5'1 at the most, and a lot of men ignore them, except for maybe short men who feel tall around them. Even then, I've had those guys pay notice to me more (I'm about 5'4). If you were gonna say petite as in really slim, maybe I'd understand, and by that also someone under 5'8... but really short and stocky isn't really attractive to most men.

I've never met an east asian person in their 30s who looks like a teen. Honestly I've never met one who looked early 20s either. This is overblown. You guys still look around your age, just more well preserved than the average white person, but age shows up on your face too. Having really round features doesn't necessarily make you look younger especially if that's standard for your ethnicity.

Honestly I don't really understand this for a lot of women. It makes no sense. For me personally, my biggest crushes have been on guys who were like 5'8 with really nice faces, but they're always so narcissistic and rude lol (probably insecure about their size). It's always the tall guys with bigger builds and good bone structure etc that treat me the best, so I've come to learn that it's safer to date them. They treat me better. But then again I've been called petite so I don't know, it's all relative and depends on who you ask? I would think it's weird if a guy isn't into curves of any kind. You can be really thin or even petite and still have a curve or two.

I'm sorry but someone lied to you. Sperm banks don't even accept sperm from men over 30-something. Men having the capacity to have kids for longer (not even true for all men, just some) doesn't mean those kids are healthy. I won't even get into autism and schizophrenia or any of that. I mean I'm literally related to women who had healthy kids in their 50s but that's besides the point. Being able to do something doesn't mean you should, nor does it mean your eggs or sperm are fit for it. Like... we want people to have healthy kids. It's just better for both sexes to do that pre-40, especially with what we know about how sperm and egg quality go down with time. It actually goes down for men really fast in their 30s, but a lot of men don't wanna acknowledge that. ;)

I don't think a "good man" necessarily waits for sex. He might see it presented from an easy girl he's attracted to/into and go for it. A truly special man would say no, though, and I think those are the guys I personally would go for. But women throwing sex at men early on does change things because it normalizes it. We're all susceptible to normalization.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 08:19 PM

No I wouldn't, actually. I would like to have kids but I don't want kids for another 3 years. A 40 year old man is already past my age limit for kids, I want them when me and my partner are both sub-40. Plus, I look younger, I'm fit, I want someone who's young-appearing. I was actually recently dating a guy who was 37 and everyone around me said he looked really old compared to me (which I didn't care of but yeah) and I wasn't able to picture myself having kids with him in the next 2 years, so t…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 08:17 PM

I literally don't know a single woman in her late 20s or early 30s, in various cities or countries, who's in this type of age dynamic. Maybe women in 3rd world countries are though. Because of necessity. We know that exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 08:16 PM

We do though lol. I've seen it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 08:15 PM

Ok but men have an age limit for this as well though. 30 is not the limit for women. And autism is linked to paternal age, if anything. Men who have kids 40+ are the ones contributing to that. Doesn't matter if your wife is 30.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 08:15 PM

That's not true. Older women are into it, at least the healthy ones are. I have friends in their 40s and the insane ones are the ones saying "I want a guy who's 30" (but these guys will never give them a shot lol) and the really cool ones want men their age or a bit older. They aren't looking for a payday (what ever that means) or a baby daddy lol, they just want a partner. I really hope they find their guy. It's the ones who are immature and look for 30 year olds that I hope don't find their gu…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 07:49 PM

I'm 32 and no I'm not interested in a guy over 37. Even 37 is pushing it for me, that's the oldest I'd go, and I'd be reluctant to date a guy that age too. I'd rather someone 28-35. I might be rare though because I'm willing to date 4 years younger, no problem, and only 3 years older. My fav range is -2/+1 but I know I have to expand it a bit more.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 07:47 PM

I just want men to be direct and honest. Honestly, while I agree to some extent, I disagree that this is the main problem. The problem is we should really be looking out for decent/genuine/good behavior and reward that. TBH I think a huge problem is how women behave and how they lower the value of sex and all that. When a lot of women just have sex on dates 1-3 and are willing to do anything, it cheapens things for everyone else. And a lot of women do this nowadays... like just zero self-respect…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 07:45 PM

I have this going on right now with a guy lol but it's genuinely because I don't think I see a future with him. It's not really to have him chase me. If anything, if he was overly persistent, I'd get creeped out.

Ah college is such a young time in life though. in college, I was incredibly introverted/reserved due to a reaaaally over-protective and strict upbringing. It wasn't until near the end that I opened up more. I never went to parties, never drank, etc. I did attract guys but I wasn't even really interacting with tons of them prior to 22, which is when I started to come out my shell more. I'd argue I had an emotionally abusive upbringing from my mom. But when I was interacting with men from our bro…

Honestly yes. But I wasn't doing it consciously. And it was not the date request stage, it was more like kind of not continuing a conversation when he wasn't showing enough overt interest. But considering I've attracted a lot more aggressive guys and I want someone who's respectful, I've started to become conscious of this and start being "easier" in a way (the way looooots of women are lol) so I signal more interest more clearly. I want to attract the right one and I'm dropping my toxic views.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 07:37 PM

I'm in that age range, I'm not dating 40 year old men. Few of us are.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 07:33 PM

Dude, 30 is not too old for women. You're giving weird advice. Women can often healthily have kids even past 38. But if he's 40 then I'm not sure why he waited this long. 40+ is dangerous for both genders. Also really stupid that he expects to find someone 10 years younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 07:32 PM

You guys have an obsession with "being settled for" and the woman being "promiscuous". There's also a chance the woman is being settled for, too. Also, how do you know someone's been promiscuous? That's an assumption you're making. That aside, why would being 30+ mean you should remain single? It just seems... so dumb.

I think men absolutely should put more effort into their looks. Honestly, everyone should. If you aren't naturally very attractive, there's no harm in trying more. Grooming, hygiene, fashion, exercise, etc, go a long way. Start there. As a woman, I get attention without makeup or my hair done and if I'm just in sweats, but that doesn't stop me from taking care of my hygiene, grooming myself, exercising, and wearing nice things when I go out. Sometimes my strategy is to look less good because I m…

In reality, top young women tend to be in relationships and only tend to be single for brief stints. And no, their boyfriends aren't all cheating on them. These are women with tons of options among top guys who generally don't tolerate that shit. They generally have multiple top guys as commitment options at any time, so they gate keep as well. I think this is only true if you're in settings that provide you those options. You could easily be great but be at home a lot of the time and not meet t…

I don't necessarily agree. I've dated men who had options for sure (for context, these guys were 6'1+, decent looking, in shape, decent income etc) and I was the one to decide the commitment piece. I'm aware there are a lot of women out there who are attractive, etc, so it's not like they didn't have options... but I obviously offered something beyond that, that perhaps a lot of women just don't. I don't agree with this notion, at least not for all men and women. I think generally-speaking, it's a mutual thing. For example, maybe the guy is the gatekeeper of you becoming his girlfriend, but you're the gatekeeper of him becoming your husband. Does that make sense? And of course, women are the ones who decide who gets to have sex with them. For example, I have no issue getting a boyfriend, but I have yet to meet one I want to be my husband. So while the dating phase is mutual and they deci…

This is exactly the issue. I have a friend who's not bad looking but she isn't "hot" or very attractive (physically or personality-wise) and she gets mad when I get attention she hopes to get. And it's kind of like... but... we aren't the same. There's no nice way to say that so I don't say anything, but it's kind of annoying as well as a woman to see these women get so angry about it. I can pick up on it but I have a 6th sense for stuff like this. Sometimes I figure it out before they even realize why they're doing it... which is pretty irritating. A lot of people don't understand themselves at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/23 05:48 PM

We like someone who's assertive, self-respecting, and respecting of us. We want someone who does things because they actually want to, not because they feel obligated to. A people pleaser is a huge turnoff to me, but so is a highly disagreeable dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/23 05:46 PM

I'm the same. I'm pretty direct. Maybe not all the time if it's not necessary, but in a relationship, I will generally be fairly direct and want the guy to be direct, at least in terms of intentions, plans, and future goals, etc. I want someone who's open and I don't have to pry info out of them. It's just too tiring and usually it's not worth it lol, I did years of that dance and trying to figure people out. It's annoying.

I'm not even autistic and I find it confusing sometimes too. I've come to learn that some people would rather have plausible deniability and being a bit vague is what helps them achieve that, just in case. That's what a lot of that is.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/23 05:42 PM

Normally that's what I would see too but here in my big city on the west coast, it's very much the opposite. This is also the first time I ever noticed this.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 11:04 PM

Women are honestly assholes to other women lol. But the thing is, women sometimes have no clue what they look like... like the female gaze is NOT the same as the male gaze. Women will hate on you if your bf is hot if you aren't super tall and model stick-thin and beautiful. They don't realize that men like boobs and ass and curves and don't care if you're 5'10. If anything, a lot of them would rather have the fit curvy 5'5 girl who's cute and pretty and nice. But women don't get that. Although I…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 10:56 PM

Lol opposite for me but my relational trauma from childhood mostly comes from women being controlling/horrible rather than the men. So I'm not the norm probably.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 09:14 PM

Well it's true if you're also attractive and interesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 09:10 PM

We definitely aren't eager for that lol. But a guy who looks like someone we'd naturally gravitate to, someone similar to us, absolutely. People generally gravitate towards their peers, in all aspects.

I mean, I don't really "need" makeup. I have natural attributes people wear makeup for (mascara, eyebrow filler, lipstick, clear skin, high cheekbones) so I don't think telling me I look good without makeup is a lie. But the idea was to make it so I wouldn't look as overtly "out there" by wearing makeup, since obviously more makeup signals that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 07:26 PM

Probably because he was better looking than you lol. Why would he sabotage you if you were obviously not the attractive one (no offense)?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:56 PM

Same. My ex tried to get me to gain weight and stop wearing makeup. I did wear less makeup and I did gain some weight lol (mostly to my ass though, it worked out), but I did also leave him. Not for someone else, but just to get away from him because he was annoying and consistently put me down in very subtle ways to get me to stay with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:55 PM

Nah I'm not insecure with all men. The annoying thing is other women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:55 PM

I prefer bulk over cut when the guy is thin naturally, but I don't like fat on men. It just isn't attractive at all to me. I think men and women are different though... like men can get away with being a little leaner, whereas I think women can get away with a little more "cushion".
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:48 PM

I only ever got insecure with my attractive exes because other women were very inappropriate around them. I wasn't thinking "he'll leave me for her", but more like I don't want to be constantly reminded that other women desire my partner. It's annoying. And now I understand why men sometimes prefer a more average-looking woman. It's not even really insecurity, it's just straight up annoying when other people aren't respectful. And this sucks for me because I am the type of woman to get attention…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:47 PM

I've had men ask me if my boobs were real. :| So I can relate to her. And yes I think men sometimes don't approach if they think someone won't say yes... so we're left with those who are confident enough to approach. Sounds like you're a catch either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:33 PM

What if you like Middle Eastern girls lol. Or Southern European girls. Or Nordic girls? Not saying those other women aren't attractive, but there are men who prefer other women.. and the ones I mentioned fit universal beauty standards the most, in reality. Brazilian women can be gorgeous and the most diverse but I would argue that Brazilian women aren't like the other South American women. They like Brazilian men a lot of the time, and don't necessarily rely on foreign men in the same way.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 06:10 AM

Oh yikes, that's dark. One thing that makes me uncomfortable with that though is having been out with women like that, when the men come to you (me in this case) over them, and it's consistent, it does make these women get ugly with you too. This happened with a "friend" of mine recently. Even the guy she shot her shot with thought I was the one who did it initially and was very excited and then seemed deflated when it was her, and she noticed, and she asked me after if that was the case, and I …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 06:00 AM

Ok so their wealth allots them a beauty premium abroad. Makes sense I guess. $ for men is what beauty is for women. But again, as long as people are aware it's transaction and not love-based. And yeah I guess it does depend on your preferences. I know a lot of men are pretty open and I don't think one race is better than the other, but I do think a lot of men settle for women they'd never go for if they had their local women's mindset, that's for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 05:57 AM

Are the women hotter?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 05:36 AM

No way, I'm not defending any woman lol. I disagree that they're more pleasant. I'd consider myself to be pleasant and I was western raised (foreign born though), and men I meet tend to agree, I have dating options or even marriage options. The difference is that my parents raised me to be humble and realistic and to value marriage. So I guess some of the eastern mindset spewed in with my upbringing, but I can assure you that the east is turning into the west (has been for a while now from what …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 05:35 AM

It honestly does happen all the time. You think it's intrasexual competition to keep women delusional? Lol. I would have thought it works better if we get more people to understand where they reside. Otherwise, too many of them try with the same guys. I'm always the honest friend and it's so painful because I see other women lieeeeee and of course I'm the bad guy for not also lying.

I would agree but these women cause societal problems, just like men who remain single forever do. I'm not saying people should pair up against their will, but it would serve some people to be more realistic. And I disagree with the idea that you can't choose who you're attracted to. If I CAN somewhat choose or consciously lower my expectations, and I am someone who can get who these women want, then it's possible. IMO some people want the status of having someone attractive, or act like it's im…

Nice. Welcome bros. I don't know, I do know American women and a lot of them definitely are very masculinized and annoying and narcissistic, but you get that in big cities in Canada too. Less so in my big city but here we have other problems lol. But yeah, America in general is quite narcissistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 11:46 PM

But the problem is that I'm the same way, or at least if a guy isn't clear enough, I assume he doesn't like me. It's more true for women because we're socialized to believe that when men like us, they try hard or at least are clear about it. We usually hear "mixed signals is a no from a guy". That said, I decided to be direct with him, so we'll see. I'm not chasing a guy who chose another woman over me, even if it's just because she's easier to sleep with.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 11:44 PM

What do you mean by this? Lol please be clearer. Anyway I've decided to take the very direct route by asking him... which is terrifying and might ruin our "friendship" but oh well. It's definitely a bit weird to do but I figure I might as well not regret anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 11:41 PM

So you mainly want them to make similar efforts after a date? like reach out to you first, etc? Is that because you want to make sure they like you the same way you like them? I get that but we're conditioned as women to believe that men are supposed to pursue us, otherwise they don't like us enough. Regarding the girl at the bar... maybe she's too immature for a relationship. It sounds like she enjoys the fun stuff but isn't consistent. That sounds like a lack of maturity. The other issue, thou…

But then I started getting told some men were too scared to try, and then also some of them directly told me they were worried b…

No, my point is that in western countries, women are mainly looking for love. And the country is Canada. It's almost the same thing as the US. lol. If they want real love just come north. You don't need to take yourself to a 3rd world country with a completely different culture, mindset, etc, to find it. In less fortunate countries, women are more money-driven (which actually makes a ton of sense, they need to be more resource-driven in relationships)... so it logically adds up that men going to…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 10:15 PM

100% this. Foreign women are even more obvious about this too, lol, like it's a thing in most non-western societies (including South America) for women to primarily look at money... are these guys actually under the impression that these women are into them for love? I'm sure some do fall in love but let's be real guys, it's a transaction. The guys who accept this are fine, but a lot of them seem to think it's an equal relationship scenario.

Marriage benefits men a lot though. Like even more than it benefits women, especially nowadays. Marriage was invented by men. It does benefit us women but it benefits most men more than it benefits most women, if that makes sense. If marriage is no longer a thing, I guarantee you that most men will never have sex again.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 09:45 PM

That isn't true for all women though. I know women who value looks WAAAAAYYY too much.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 09:41 PM

I'm a woman and I'd agree that I think men are more romantic in general, but that isn't true for all of them. Some of them are really unromantic. I'd agree that both genders are shallow to an extent. As a woman, we're socialized to pretend a man's looks don't matter, though, and that's not true either. It makes men think they have a shot with women who are actually hot and put together (newsflash guys: you are not going to succeed, most likely, unless you're similar to her). That's also not cool…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 09:36 PM

I think the fact that it feels like he chose her over me is what makes his "value" lower to me. I've had friends tell me it's just because she was way easier and I was the riskier move for him, but it still feels like a rejection for me. I've actually decided to straight up ask him if he's with her or not, so I get my answer. I'm kind of regretting this lol (I've neeeever done this before) but at the same time, if he says he's with her, then I will 100% move on and take my other dating scenarios…

My conclusion is she probably realized his interest in me (potentially? even then, I don't 100% assume he liked me) and she's desperate to lock it down (I found out she's been waiting for him for a year, so I guess he wasn't into her before) and on t…

I mean I recently started putting myself out there. I recently approached a guy lol. I'm trying it from the other angle... but generally-speaking, men also seem to derive more satisfaction from making the first move. What is "old" to you anyway? That's subjective. They aren't, woman simply make things easier for them. Yes and no. Women they don't want make it easier for them, but the women they actually want are more of a risk to them. Which route the man takes depends on his self-esteem and con…

And honestly I would never date most of the guys who approach me from the group, we just aren't a match and I'm not even sure why they would assume I'd be interested given our differences in many ways (and I don't mean to say that in an arrogant way, it's just a lack of self-awareness on their part). There's been…

Oh I totally agree with social media warping people's views. I also agree re narcissism. But the thing is, maybe men need to have higher standards? If they're falsely inflating a plain girl's ego, it causes issues for everyone. That girl then thinks that's her norm (it is not) and the guy ruins it for himself and other men? Like I have friends who honestly aren't hot and their personalities suck (to be honest... I've even been questioning why I'm friends with them), but they have higher standard…

I'd say I have more options than the average woman does. I tend to do the rejecting, and yet when I really like someone, I'm extra careful and I don't assume they like me, even if it's somewhat obvious they might be interested. Taller men pursue me more vigorously and openly. I mean for serious relationships, marriage, having kids with me, that sort of thing. That isn't to say shorter men don't also take me seriously, but their approach is not the same and it's far less obvious. That said, I've had a lot of guys chicken out of pursuing or assuming I wouldn't like them, so maybe this has something to do with taller men having more confidence because they have more social proof that the chances of rejection are a bit low…

Oh, so men are allowed to forever be shallow, but women must be totally enlightened by age 18? lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/23 08:14 PM

No, 18 is young. Sorry but I was 18 once. I wasn't even prioritizing hotness (but even so... everyone does that at 18, men too) but I was not the same person I am now in the sense that now I understand what I want out of life. I didn't even date at 18, plenty of women do but they - again - do not know who they are or what they need. Being adult enough to fight doesn't mean your brain is developed.

Ah okay so she's older and wiser aha. I think you know what to do! Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. It might go somewhere but that's more unlikely than likely. I enjoy his company and I generally don't sleep with men but we have that relationship, and I'd rather have that with one man. I've never done this before but I am looking for something serious, but don't want to feel totally deprived anymore either. He is aware and understands and is on board. I think if at any moment …

France is not a religious country. Spain and Portugal have some religiosity and patriarchy but they’re still pretty fluid. Europe (besides eastern, but I’m not as interested in eastern) in general is less religious and more open than North America. Canada isn’t super religious either tbh but Europe has more of a fair mindset in regards to men and women (for better and for worse - if you’re a woman who wants to be paid for, european men sometimes aren’t the best for that, although in my experienc…

Life is nuanced. You have to keep seeing how it unfolds, but put your needs at the forefront too. So give it time and see, but don’t wait a year, is what I’m saying. It’s nice you’re accommodating. I also was recently seeing someone and it was clear he wanted something serious, but I didn’t see it happening with him so I asked us to scale back and so far he seems OK with it but I know in part he wants it to become serious eventually. I’m aware and I am treading carefully so I don’t hurt him. I h…

That's not really true. I've had multiple men immediately cherish me as an option because they thought I'd make a good mom (and they are right about that). Men definitely like nurturing women.

It's biological. Although honestly, I'm in my early 30s and I was just as horny in my 20s. But a lot of women I know are never horny regardless of age.

Have you even met this woman? In this case, it's not really about assertiveness. It's long distance, you likely don't actually know her in person, and she has actual health issues. This isn't as much about you as it is about the circumstance and her needs. Maybe she's avoidant too. People who pursue LDRs on purpose tend to be avoidant. But you were upfront and that at least gave you an answer. That's being assertive. There's nothing wrong with wanting to back off a bit. Just don't get sucked int…

I don't know any men who identify with the movement. But maybe those guys are in hiding. I do know men who are "suspicious" of women but they're rarer. Most men I meet are super into the idea of having a partner. I've dated men who immediately got baby fever once they met me.

Same. I've broken up with guys because I could tell I wouldn't enjoy the sexual part, and sex is a big part of why I would want to be with someone. It's not everything by any means and it shouldn't be more important than certain attributes, but it should be held to the same standard as them being respectful or kind for ex.

It would stop dating issues a bit but not marital ones. It might cause more marital issues because sexual compatibility is important. I think there's a fine line. You need to hold out for real potential relationships generally-speaking (so.. don't sleep around) but also not repress yourself. Religious hangups for ex cause sexual hangups long-term. I had to de-program myself from shame around sex due to my upbringing. Being obsessed with purity and virginity is better than being depraved, but the…

I will tell you that the "nicest" men I know (in the sense that they were more passive) ended up with the worst women (they ended up with manipulative, mean-behind-closed-doors types of women), so that might incentivize you to work on your assertiveness. You can change your personality. Being easy going is amazing and so is being respectful, but you can be easy going and assertive. Being passive is not the same as being easy going. And you can definitely build a connection via talking while also…

Yeah I'm a Canadian woman, our way of doing things here is not the way it is for Americans... like for ex, most of us have a university education. We also attract a lot of really educated foreigners every year, so even if men here left, we have other guys coming here all the time. Local men generally don't look to leave as an escape but seem to want to improve themselves. We don't have the same super dysfunctional gender relationships... we also subscribe to strict gender roles a bit less here t…

This is the first time in my life I do kind of understand what guys must feel, and no of course it doesn't feel great. But as a woman, we're wired a bit differently. I’m also the type to prefer average height with a really good face and bod to a super tall guy who just doesn’t have the face or bod! Height isn’t everything. But maybe it’s because I’ve dated several super tall guys so the novelty wore off a bit.

I’m 5’4/5’5 and my upper limit is 6’4. Obviously if the right guy was 6’5 I wouldn’t say no but beyond that is way too damn tall for me. My exes were mostly 6’3 and that was taaaaaaall lol. I’d honestly be happiest with 5’11-6’2 but can’t be too picky about an inch or so.

Fair enough. Honestly I've often been on the receiving end of the "foreign woman" thing even though I was raised in the west (I was born abroad though). I've had men for sure project this idea onto me that I still have enough traditional values, which is semi true tbh... but I've had foreign men also project the idea of me being western enough to not be like their culture too (which they're trying to also escape). Absolutely not shallow at all. Yeah a lot of guys report that they aren't into black women. But take a super attractive girl that's white and one that's of black descent (like.. mixed), I'll likely think the mixed black woman is more attractive. I don't know why but this is just a me thing! As for the fetish question, I think the hang up is we might be approaching the definition of tha…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 10:16 PM

Interesting. That's possible. Maybe it's just that men are more open? IDK. I have an hourglass figure so it's not like my fat distribution is considered typical. I think most women are basically straight up and down and a lot of fat does go to their mid-section first. For me it's boobs, legs, butt etc first.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 09:57 PM

To be honest, based on your comments, it sounds like you have a fetish, so I won't be continuing this discussion.

I don't know because I'm not Asian myself. Filipinos just have more of a desire to be linked to Europe because of colonization, and they definitely have a warmer culture. They're kind of looked down on in Asia, which is funny because I don't get why. I guess something to do with being browner than the other Asians. I don't personally find Asian women generally attractive though I think people of all backgrounds can be appealing. Like I have not personally met a "hot" Chinese woman and I live in …
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 09:52 PM

That makes sense and is reasonable but they still suffer from internalized racism and fetishization. You can't really argue against that. Filipinos do tend to be quite kind compared to other nationalities (maybe just a cultural trait that's desired) so I have nothing against them really, and I do think the women can be pretty (I find the men more attractive in general). They're definitely "better" in that way than other east and SEA nationalities. Chinese women seem to be the most... into the ta…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 07:27 PM

I think it's because women have evolved to be standardized sizes more than men have. If we evolved towards taller/bigger built people in general for ex then maybe more men would be "average but attractive" but then the women would be seen as less attractive... kind of like how it is in Germany or the Netherlands or something. But yeah to each their own.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 07:24 PM

Your comment implies/infers that these couples are mismatched and my guess is these tall ripped blonde men are seen as attractive whereas the short chubby brunettes are not, so... yeah you kind of are saying there is something wrong with it. Being chubby is one thing but being a short brunette is not a bad thing lol. I don't understand this logic at all. I think natural blondes can be attractive, but it depends on the woman. Being blonde doesn't make you attractive or special on its own. My SIL is a natural blonde and she's gorgeous but I've also been called beautiful many times and I have dark hair. Having dark hair actually puts a focus on your features more... blonde hair acts as a halo for harsher features (hence why so many women go blonde when they aren't naturally attractive). So, if you're hot as a b…

I personally didn't stay. But I have a low tolerance for bullshit. I've had other women give me the side eye when I left someone attractive, but these women a) don't have these guys as options, so they don't understand what it's like to be with someone who's attractive but still sucks (thus they never learn the lesson that "looks aren't everything"), b) are extremely shallow, c) are not actually relationship-minded, for the long-term.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 06:47 AM

It's also the way the women there are taught to be too. Filipina/Asian women in general are pretty white worshipping and that translates to how they treat men. I guess if you're a guy who's comfortable with being fetishized, it's an option. If you want someone who actually desires you as a person, being fetishized isn't a great option. But up to you. Balkan girl here. Very accurate for us! I've had people tell me "he isn't good looking enough for you" or "you're not shallow" but the reality is, there's way more to a relationship than looks alone. Of course I do tend to date men who are decently attractive but they aren't the hottest guys necessarily, or have some quirk or flaw. What's wrong with being a short brunette? The chubby part sure I get, but why is being a brunette a bad thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 06:35 AM

It's actually the opposite usually. When couples get together pre-30, the guy is usually better looking. Not always true, the rare ones get super lucky, but I've noticed this. And couples that get together post-30, the woman is generally more attractive. To be 30+ as a woman and to have attractive options, you usually are good looking, more than the average woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 06:32 AM

Straight woman here. A lot of women are average without makeup and stuff. But I think a lot of guys don't really try hard enough in terms of their grooming and getting into shape. If more guys made as much effort as the average woman did, I'd think both are pretty similar looks-wise. The main difference is usually height/build but I've even seen in-shape guys who aren't tall still look good, especially if they're facially good.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 06:30 AM

There's your answer. Moms do more work.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 06:26 AM

That also happens here in Vancouver. I wonder why though. I also see it with Asian girls and white guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 06:25 AM

I live in Vancouver & this is a regular thing here. I won't explicitly say what it is but anyone who knows Vancouver knows what I'm talking about. It's a particular pairing where you see the confusion happen. I've even seen other people look at these couples like 🤯 .
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 06:24 AM

I haven't really seen this in tall women either though lol. If anything, the taller women are less curvy than shorter women? Or they're just larger stock.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 10:05 PM

I'm somewhere between 5'4 and 5'5. So no, not really tall. My proportions are very uncommon though. I have soccer legs, but then have a small waist, big enough glutes, big boobs, generally thin arms, proportionally wide hips (nothing insanely wide but same width as my shoulders) etc. I would definitely say it's not a common body type. I even have visible abs (but faint lines, not protruding huge ones) despite being a DD cup.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 07:58 PM

True hourglass bodies are extremely rare. Speaking as a woman who has one, and who does have naturally big boobs, big thighs and big glutes (lol I didn't know having big thighs was considered good but ok). My body type is not common... and a lot of women who have some curves are often pretty large/overweight as well, so if you're curvy and lean/fit, you're actually extremely rare. Most thin or fit girls I meet have no boobs.

I honestly have no idea. I do have a 4'11 friend who's good with a man who's 5'2 even, so she doesn't seem to care. Some women don't care tbh. The most attractive men I've met besides one ex were 5'8 with very handsome faces and physically fit bodies. I need them to be at least 5'8 and be good looking and fit, and I'm 5'4. But tall men like me way more for some reason and they pursue me much much more openly and harder. I'm not entirely sure why that is, but it's made me adjust my preferences to…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:52 AM

This is lame. I'm into travel and I'm attractive. I'm not a trophy. I'm looking for a human connection, as are men like me. Just because we seem more attractive than you or your nerdy gf doesn't mean we're shallow or not looking for the same thing. To be frank, you sound really boring and I wouldn't go for someone like you either, but I'm not here pretending you aren't looking for a human connection. Some people are absolute home bodies and are still super shallow or incapable of a real connecti…

I totally agree with this. Though it's never fully 50/50.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:37 AM

Lol them paying for you does not mean you have to give them sex. That's weird logic. Do you expect to be paid to have sex or something?

I honestly agree. I do offer though and I did once briefly go places (not even really date lol) a guy who didn't pay and it just didn't feel right. I also figured out he didn't want to take care of a woman at all due to his insane mommy issues, he was looking to be taken care of and I had no interest in that dynamic. I also prefer men who have the provider mindset. In an ideal world, I'm home (or at least have a low stress job that pays decently, which I do currently thankfully!), I cook all our…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:32 AM

I mean, what kind of wife do you want? Do you want a career-oriented wife? Are you trying to say you wanna do the more traditionally feminine stuff? It sounds a bit like you're saying you wanna do the more "romantic" stuff. That's not any better than paying, you're not morally superior for choosing to do what you do. People feel love in different ways. Personally, I absolutely would feel insanely appreciative of a man who paid for me on our dates and wanted to front more of the bills - that's a …

I think I've only ever been on one first date where the guy didn't offer to pay. And yeah, I was not interested after that. That wasn't the only reason though. The funny thing is, I'm pretty sure it's cultural for him to split (he was literally Dutch) but it was still off-putting. I don't expect a guy to always pay every time but it's nice when they pay in the early stages. It's as simple as that. It makes you feel more cherished, just like me cooking for them helps me feel like I add value and …

I've had men express insecurity to me and it was fine. Although I will say, it gets annoying to constantly soothe a guy's insecurities. I have insecurities too but I don't project them onto my partner nor make them my partner's responsibility to fix, you know? There's a difference between confiding in your partner and putting it on them. Like men who will be insecure with me and then project it onto me make me uncomfortable, because now it feels like it's my job to soothe them or dim my light in…

I absolutely have several years, you can pretend 30 is 60 if you want but it’s not. But good luck to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:27 AM

Weird, I guess I'm supposed to be desperate, but it's the opposite. The older I get, the better the guys I date are. Obviously I don't expect this to be true post-40 but 30s is young, especially pre-late 30s when you're single. Early 30s is prime though. I still look 25 (even younger to some) but I have a financial foundation, know what I'm looking for, and I'm in good shape and overall happier than I was for most of my 20s.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 12:38 AM
1

Exactly this. Even the guys here saying they did better at 30+ were generally unattractive and had to work on it and become wealthier. That's just the reality. Good looking men look good in their 20s.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 12:35 AM

Those guys are delusional for sure. I don’t think they know what 30 year olds even look like.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 12:20 AM
1

Nah they are all gold diggers, or have daddy issues. Or they are insecure and need to have the upper hand in the dynamic, but will lash out in other ways. Trust meeeee.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 09:01 PM
1

That's not an insane age gap. Saying this as a 32 year old woman. Though I honestly do find it weird when guys my age purposely seek out women in their mid 20s.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 09:00 PM

A fetish for older men stems from serious daddy issues/trauma, and that's a lot of baggage as well. Not sure if high quality men want that anyway. High quality men tend to seek women around their age. It's just true and it's what I've observed, based off the (respectful, kind, smart) lawyers, doctors, engineers etc I've known.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 08:57 PM

I know women who wanted kids at 23/24 but they wanted guys their age. I never wanted older guys, never did, still don't want them. I don't begrudge 20-something women for wanting men their age. I find it weirder if they're seeking out way older men, usually that's them seeking the upper hand in a power dynamic. As for the 666 thing, I'm dating someone who fits that (and is... big... down there) and I'm in my early 30s. I didn't even seek him out. Literally all my exes fit that, or maybe weren't …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 08:54 PM

That's dumb. I'm in my early 30s, I'm not dating 50 year old men lol. I'm dating guys from late 20s to late 30s. There's really no need to date men who look like my dad. Also honestly, women who are in their 20s and have options (the most attractive ones) don't need to date men who are older than them, either. I sure as hell never had to, and never wanted to. I was only open to 30+ when I myself was about 28.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 05:17 PM

It depends where you are. American men seem more like that. Canadian men are often quite passive and feminized and want someone to boss them around. I often attract men here who want me to literally tell them what to do, even if they say they don't want a "boss", eventually it's them deferring to me all the time to make sure I'm happy. I do really appreciate when they care about how I feel (that's the good part!) but when they get passive/lazy, that isn't good. So for ex where I live, Asian wome…

Verrrry impulsive. Speaks volumes to someone's mental health and how they're willing to potentially put themselves in danger. That's not a quality you want in a wife/mom/husband/dad.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 12:38 AM

But for a relationship, a lot of men will pick someone based off of money at least where I live. I see some seriously unattractive women with good looking guys. It's because these women have money. It's a thing in less traditional places/places where money matters more.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 12:03 AM

Umm who doesn't fuck for fun though? Even married women do that (with their husband). But by "for cash and prizes" besides actual prostitutes, what do you mean here?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 11:13 PM
1

Sexual hypergamy refers to women exclusively being sexually attracted to men whom they find something superior about. In that case, I'm definitely hypergamous lol. But maybe it depends where you live. Here in Canada, men definitely seem to prioritize brains and money over looks sometimes, depending on where you live. Where I live, men deeeeefinitely don't seem to prioritize looks. So they are being kinda hypergamous too, because they want that $$ stability.

I mean I like knowing a guy who's into me is desirable. I'll admit that. There's a nice element of "ooh I have a desirable person" but I don't chase men. So just giving you info from women I know who do chase men - they're usually chasing men out of their league (generally what happens) and the guy doesn't like them enough to put effort in, so he's lazy. It's in a guy's nature (if he's healthy) to wanna pursue, so if he doesn't, either he's unhealthy or unsatisfied with the woman. The woman know…

The ones with naturally good features and genetic advantages. Women who are willing to sleep on the first date ruin it for the rest of us too. They basically make these guys think we'll all be willing to do that, when it's actually unhinged to be willing to sleep with someone that early on. Seriously, it's not empowered, it makes you come across as crazy or someone who has no standards. If I was dating women, I would not commit to a woman who slept with me that early on.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:26 PM

#3 only applies in the sense of being open to them and showing you're open. I still don't think we should pursue them the way men pursue us. It doesn't work long-term. But being like "hey how are you?" first and showing you're friendly and receptive does work. Still, he has to pursue.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:24 PM

Asian and Latina ones do, yes. They're super white worshipping. Other ones not really. Middle Eastern women definitely don't, and they're on average a lot better looking than the other two and attract way more options. I'd say black women also don't put them on a pedestal as much either, they like black men usually.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:18 PM
1

That's not always true. I think it's kind of a coping mechanism sometimes for women to believe that... IMO many men will move mountains for a woman he's really into, doesn't matter the order. But then many men operate more in timing. The lucky ones get both.

I don't know if I agree with this. I live in a city with a lot of skinny little girls with mediocre faces, no boobs or ass, and they have boyfriends. I won't say what race they are but I think you can guess - they aren't the blonde ones. I fit into the fit curvy exotic brunette look I guess (but I have big boobs and an hourglass body too) and I'd say the only thing I lack naturally is a huge butt, but I go to the gym to build my bum and it doesn't take long. I think it depends. A lot of guys know they can't be picky so they go for whomever, or maybe they're insecure. I've met guys with really unattractive girlfriends but the guys are generally insecure or not super socially adept.. the woman keeps them feeling secure. A guy with options and maturity/self-control is WAY pickier and actually does have a specific type and can be very demanding in what he expects. Also, I find older guys are pickier. There's honestly nothing wrong with a bit of shaming. Like when we used to shame women for being homewreckers (by that I mean the ones who would go for married men... the men also need to take responsibility but I'm specifically referring to the women who are attracted to taken men because they have low self-esteem)? That was good. We need women to respect marriages and married women. When we used to shame men for being cheaters? That was good. Now it's "I'm in an ENM relationship" lol, it's a d…

This is how it is though, in nature and with people. I know it's a hard pill to swallow, but it's the males in the animal kingdom who peacock and try to land the best woman... it isn't the other way around. That's how it is with people too when it's done correctly. I think that's why seeing a woman chase a guy seems so unnatural and desperate. In my experience, guys who are actually really attractive (but are mature or spiritual or sensitive) can easily get "side chicks" but don't want them. They've experienced what it's like to have a partner and to get attention. It means less to them to get that sort of attention. This is also true for me - when you've gotten attention from the opposite sex for a long time, it just doesn't mean as much. You aren't validated as much, and you seek internal validation more (unless you don't mature/gro…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:21 PM

Yeah I was gonna say, I think men prioritize bodies over faces. I see so many ugly but thin women where I live with attractive men. I personally feel I have a good body and a good face so I'm not even mad about it, just more confused about how these guys can handle having a partner with an unattractive face. That said - these women don't have hourglass bodies (I do personally), they're just super skinny. But I know a lot of guys claim they aren't into super skinny, so I'm extra confused.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:18 PM

Agreed. I don't care if you're 6'2 if your face isn't attractive. I'd take the facially attractive 5'10 guy over you easily. Assuming both are fit and otherwise equal. I don't care about extreme height though, which is ironic because only one ex of mine was under 6'2... but they all had nice faces, and the 5'8 ex looked like a movie star. Guys don't get that we don't all prioritize height over everything.

What if your genes mean you'll live til 100? My grandparents have all lasted til about 100/just under that. Then no, 35 is not it... it'd be more like 50-80 for me personally. But then that isn't the case for everyone. I didn't consider my parents middle aged pre-50. Honestly even at 50, they seemed young. It's definitely about 45+ for most people, 50+ for people with good genes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:11 PM

Meh I'm 5'4 and my ideal height in a guy is probably around 5'10 or 5'11 as long as he isn't small-built and has muscle and a frame. I end up with the super tall ones because they pursue me way harder. So maybe the tall men often like the women who aren't tall too. It isn't one-way usually. But the women who are legitimately petite-petite like 5'1 demanding 6'2 is weird to me as well... but I also think tall women need to be less picky about height too. Neither 5'1 nor 5'9 is "ideal" for a woman…

I think what bugs me though is seeing women way below a guys league. I want those guys available for me lol, those women aren’t on the guy’s level. A guy above my league is rich-rich and male model looking, not just “very attractive” and “makes over 100k”. So when these unattractive women get these guys, it leaves fewer for me, and then I have to be willing to date the rich assholes. As a woman - no, I’m bad at handling rejection lol. That’s why I’ve only ever asked out one guy ever. I wish I was better at it. I think that’s why I prefer men to pursue me but I try to get good at showing I’m receptive to it, so I attract the one I want without pursuing him obviously. Idk why it just seems different. Woman here. I find men I date usually actually rush the commitment phase a bit IMO. I’m seeing someone now and he already wants to lock into being gf/bf and it’s only been maybe 4-5 dates? I'm gonna be frank with you. All human beings are worthy and have the same worth, so this has nothing to do with that. Lol I know several women who were the "calculated" ones. Both sides do it. I have a friend who insists she stumbled into her new relationship... she literally wore him down, would show up to things every time, talk to him, impress him, go after him. She even changed certain habits (like not drinking to drinking again) for him. There's no shame in it I guess (though I'm not one to chase someone who insults me in front of others or hits on others, which he does) but it's more her insistence that s…

I mean it happened to me multiple times last week, just from me walking outside alone in a cute outfit. Literally. That said, that isn't always the case. It happens more in the summer, I guess from me wearing a nice sundress, being in a dense part of the city, etc. I have friends here who never get approached. So I don't know how common it is. I'm Canadian though. American and European men are WAY bolder.

Exactly this. I love my family but they're dysfunctional and were emotionally abusive/neglectful. I don't want someone who's like that. I've tried, and it always blows up in my face because I'm the healthy one (given the fact that I've put a ton of distance between me and my family) and they seem to wanna repeat patterns. A person who grew up in a similarly dysfunctional home who happens to be healthy is the perfect person to me because they understand things deeply, but those people are rare un…

People are gonna judge you for those things and that's out of your control. Do it or ask yourself if it's weird. I do think big age gaps are dumb, I also think going for a virgin when you aren't one yourself is hypocritical.. I also think men going for overseas women tend to be delusional and are being taken advantage of, but they seem ok with it and that's the direction the world seems to be headed in, with guys seeking out women who aren't great rather than raising their own standards, but you…

I've been attracted to men who were 5'8, 5'9, 5'10 (5'10 is tall enough IMO but not tall). I'm 5'5. The issue is more so that women that are 5' seem to desire 6'4 men lol, those people are dumb. Also - don't men like women with bigger-than-average boobs and butts, smaller-than-average waists? I mean, they're cool with less, but they still prefer something that isn't average. I'm a 34DD in chest (but I'm not fat/overweight so it's actually big on me) and I can tell you that most women my size don…

I don't know, I know some women who make it their sole fixation lol. It really depends on the person is my guess, maybe how they were raised too? My dad basically married my mom because she was beautiful (also smart, but honestly, I'm guessing it was looks and him projecting a fantasy onto her) and he thinks I look identical to my mom so I was raised to be seen primarily as the pretty one (which is bullshit lol), my mom was always hyper critical of my looks and weight and would basically imply m…

People can want what they want but whether or not they can attract it or get it is what's important I guess? I understand wanting someone who has conscious sex. I want that too. But a guy wanting a virgin when he isn't one, especially when he's 25 or over, is strange. It generally means he's creepy and controlling and thinks he deserves to do what he wants without lending the same freedom to his partner. That's a lack of respect, IMO. The other things all depend and have more nuance. I had emoti…

I think this isn't the whole truth. IMO, really attractive people generally underrate themselves, and really average or sub-par people overrate themselves... it goes for both genders, based on my observations. Like I get told I'm attractive all the time (by men too, not just women) and garner a certain type of treatment from men who are good looking, and you can just see how the envious sub-par women get, like they think I'm not deserving of it or they are, and I honestly often have a ton of ins…

I'm a woman and I used to think this was BS, but lately... I feel like I keep meeting so many women who definitely 100% are completely deluded about their own appeal. The weird thing is, the prettiest girls I know are the least like this. The prettier girls who are actually pleasant usually are less shallow for some reason! I feel like I fit under that too. I've dated guys under 6' (which sounds silly but you'd be surprised at how many women demand tall) or guys I've heard these women tell me ar…

I'm a woman but I actually agree with this... I've met some really delusional women in my time. I have a friend who's in her 40s, she is pretty but she looks 40+, there's no mistaking that. She was gorgeous in her 20s and early 30s but she aged pretty quickly after that (she drinks a lot and is overweight). She does not attract high calibre guys now but she seems to think she deserves them/is entitled to them the way women my age are. I've met several women 40+ like this. Even if they were good …

Much more narcissistic than most of the world, I agree. That goes for both men and women.

American dating seems exhausting, confusing, weird, and also kind of morally strange. I'm Canadian so I don't think it's super different (although as someone from an eastern background with parents who immigrated here, I didn't partake in that type of dating scene the same way), but the idea that you hook up or remain casual or date multiple people even while sleeping with them is so weird... like how are you supposed to build something real when you're doing that? And people getting married for…

Why do you think Asian culture and women are so different from western women They're often faking it. Your personality is often a mask, and we're socially conditioned to behave in ways that are desirable based on the culture we grew up in, etc. A lot of people aren't really authentic. I love Korean shows for example and the way the women behave sometimes is cutesy but you can tell when it's fake too. Men just don't seem to be able to tell. Like on that show Singles Inferno, Jia pretends to be al…
