Honestly, I think she should keep it quiet. She regrets it, she's obviously not going to do it again. By her confessing to her husband, she releases her guilt, but destroys her husband and greatly affects or destroys her marriage. There's no benefit to telling her husband. The fact she paid for your groceries in the first place shows she's a good person, although there is a possibility of it being a power thing on her part, but you DID leave with the groceries, you could have left them. Of course she'd demand her money back afterward, unless she's charging interest that's normal.
