I call bullshit on this list. TRP is getting infected by salespeople, and it's not for the better. Memoirs of a Misogynist, as linked here was published 2 days ago, on October 4, 2016. How would you find a book published two days ago, ranked at #44,000, with no reviews, by an unacclaimed and unknown author? You wouldn't, unless if you had published it. Don't fall for this guy's shit.

I think this is a helpful illustration of what the successful implementation of OI as a learning process would look like. Through countless "feedback cycles" of asking yourself what went wrong and improving on that, you can develop this frame: you can be in control of your inner world because you know what goes on inside and why it goes on (e.g., insults don't bother me, and the ones I fail to brush off are good opportunities to improve my sense of wit/social awareness). I'm glad I could help clear it up for you. I am, by no means, a definitive expert, but approaching OI this way has personally helped me achieve greater control over my emotions and a clearer path to improvement.

You're correct in saying that I don't point out anything revolutionary - I only wanted to apply RP Theory to some intelligent and well-written sociological/philosophical papers. Thanks for the suggestion about Kaczynski as well - he did offer many useful insights about technology's role in altering who we are as human beings. I haven't read most of his work, but as you say, it is more manifesto-esque. For anyone interested in the role of tech, I personally recommend Heidegger's essay "The Questi…

The Red Pill is, ultimately, like Stoicism, Hedonism, Epicureanism, and other "ism's," an attempt to frame your life in terms of a philosophy or praxology. To say that someone is not fully "Red Pill" is as much an insult as to say someone is not fully "Democratic" or "Liberal" - that is, it merely states that this individual hasn't fully incorporated the beliefs of a movement. There's this very predominant mindset on this sub that to be Red Pill is to be superior, to be a leader, to be great bey…

I enjoyed and appreciated your points about smiling, as well as your advice as to how to calm down. I do, however, disagree with the handshake - if you're over 24, by all means. However, as a college student, I find a handshake creates distance instead of bridging it, as through the other person's awkwardness and lack of familiarity with it, they then don't know what's appropriate. Personally, I like to meet new people by just treating them as I would a close friend (minus the sexual/political/c…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
