There were women's groups but they quilted, canned vegetables, and baked pies for bake sales. Also, my grand mother never ever would have spoke negatively about grandpa. Sometimes a lite spanning can be playful but she knows full well when she is being punished and the nature of the spanning is completely different. I didn't go into all the gory details of the past few months but she has definitely been feeling her age.
