Did you feel some comfort afterwards? Because my main reason is to get rid of the stigma of being a virgin.

What was your situation before getting kicked out and how did it improve?

Really well said.

Yes, I perfecty understand. I think I just needed a little push. Let me see how fast can I get a raise to increase my income and leave the house. Also, I am perfectly aware than I became dysfunctional with a lot of self-esteem issues.

This. I am going there for help with my gambling addiction.

Yeah, I think it's just fear of the unknown. My self-esteem isn't going through the roof at the moment.

Not really, as there is at least one person in the house most of the time.

Bro, I literally had nothing in my mind when it all started at 13 years old. I wasn't thinking about anything. I was a child. I am taking responsability and ownership right now as much as I can, but you understand that there are some causes for addictive behaviours in people, right?

There is nothing to be good at for me as I did not find my passion and also do not feel passionate about what I am doing at my current job.

Well, that's right because I have no idea how people perceive me.

Bruh, I never said that anyone is a loser. I never said that I believe I have learned something. You are exaggerating everything that I wrote and you are completely missing the point.

Wow, it is the first time that I read something like this: the only constant in life is myself. Well said! I am also following the stoicism principles, but I am nowhere close to having them integrated in my daily behavior.

No, man. I have a lot of things I need to focus on also. I am not nearly close to a functional human. I'm just talking about the little things. Some people don't put a book in their hand for their lives. One of my friends has gotten to the point where he missed work because of getting drunk. There was another case with another friend that just came back from Dubai and was talking trash about their religion, their traditions and habits. For me, as a pretty tolerant person that understands that th…

I have also had problems with both my diet and my sleep. These are two that I actually never tried to really improve despite knowing how much they really matter. Regarding bad habits, addictions are the ones that I am tackling right now (gambling, soda/sugar). I did not have any other bad habits that seriously influence my well-being. Maybe social media consumption is also too high considering the close to 0 benefits. What good habits did you adopt in your life? What bad habits have you removed …

Yeah, I tend to agree with you. Medication did not help me much. Actually, hitting the gym and therapy sessions are keeping me on the right track right now.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. This is also my main focus. Two months of abstinence right now. I see that it gets easier and better with each day, with each paycheck, with each therapy session.

I have gotten off antidepressant for some time. Lifting is my medicine for depression right now. The treatment did not help much as I was feeling sleepy, lethargic during the days. Physical exercise, however, is making me feel the other way around. Fixing my debt requires a lot of time, unfortunately. I am actively trying to find a better job so that I can pay the debt a lot faster. Fixing myself 'til the point where I do not need therapy anymore is a funny one because my therapist (female) is s…

Approaching is the only thing that I would want my future self to do and I am still not doing it. The fear is just crippling. Also, it scares the hell out of me that every rejection I have received was followed by a gambling binge.

I did not say the other way around. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have started to see some results, but nothing extraordinary. I have cut sugar as much as I could and did some intermittent fasting whenever it was possible.

I understand and agree completely. I'm really looking forward to see how MAP can help with ranking the issues.

Giving up gambling and soda (sugar) consumption made me go to masturbation as an escape mechanism. I see that in September I completed NoFap only on 13 out of 30 days (longest streak of 4). Now in October I am 10 out of 19 days (longest streak of 2). Lifting is the first habit that I adopted during this recovery process. So far, it is getting better and better as in results. Consistency is key. The problem is just that my mental state is usually quite poor due to ruminating on bad thoughts. I wi…

Yeah, there are so many aspects of my life that need corrections that I get overwhelmed and fall flat on all of them. I have started to read the Comprehensive Guide pinned at the top of the subreddit. After that, I will focus on the sidebar.

Okay, I see that everybody is recommending these two. I will read them as soon as I can and come back with a reply to you.

I feel the same way, but I am also afraid that it is just another excuse that I am finding in order to postpone approaching. I will stabilize with every passing day as long as I am not getting back into addiction. Yes, there are so many things that I need to correct and sometimes it gets overwhelming. I am not sure if I am still depressed. Since I started lifting (2 months), my mood is much better and more stable.

First, thank you so much for your message. Deep down, I know that I should not go after women right now, but my therapist is trying to push this on me. She thinks that being independent (leaving my parents' house) and a relationship would be the two pillars that would keep me away from the addiction. I tried to approach in the past, but because of my insecurities I was sending awkward vibes (my voice was shaking, I was stuttering). I am trying my best with the gym. 5, 5, 4, 0, 3, 4, 3, 4, 4 (thi…

I haven't read anything from the sidebar. I don't know yet how to find the titles you are refering to, but I would really appreciate any recommandations. I will start with the sidebar until then. And yes, I feel really insecure about everything.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
