In the immediate aftermath when I’m feeling awful I watch a really sad movie, something that I can just have a good cry over (sometimes you gotta, even when you know the breakup had to happen) and also something that will put my feelings into perspective: ‘There’s war and corruption and children dying out there, and you’re here crying over some guy who barely made you cum in 6 months. Seriously?’ Then I just focus on me, doing things that are healthy and make me happy and feel like I’m growing

Yep, it’s a good strategy! I use this approach in other areas when I’m first dating someone too, matching their energy for how I dress, where we go for dates, frequency of dates etc. An example of this is that I used to dress quite nicely and try to put my best foot forward for first dates, but now I go lower key. I dress the way I would if I were just catching up with a friend for brunch or something. If they dress smart and continue dressing smart then I will begin to make more effort, but I g…

What a revelation. When you put it that way, it seems obvious, of course if you lead someone to believe that a situation is something it’s not i.e. a RELATIONSHIP (or relationship territory) they’re going to get emotionally invested BECAUSE THERES NO REASON TO THINK THEY SHOULDNT. Women aren’t biologically different or any of that bullshit, we’re just being lied to and deceived on a ridiculous scale

You’re 100% right, he was definitely trying to manipulate me, I hadn’t thought about the portable charger but that’s a good idea! Either way, I’m not falling for that one again!

Honestly it’s perfectly ok to just say ‘I’m not feeling very comfortable, I’m going to go’ and just leave, don’t stick around and let him try to argue. BUT ONLY IF YOU FEEL SAFE THAT HE IS NOT GOING TO TURN ON YOU. Can’t stress that last part enough, if you don’t think he will handle it rationally then you may need to be more delicate. But you’re firm and polite and non-apologetic, in my experience there’s not too much push back, just act like it’s a not a big deal and it’s a perfectly normal an…

I actually really enjoy giving blowjobs but only for people I’m in a committed, loving relationship with. I enjoy giving my partner pleasure and I would expect the same from them, as in they need to have first shown multiple times that they are positively ENTHUSIASTIC about growing down on me, with no expectation of me reciprocating, just for the sake of my enjoyment. I never bring it up when I’m dating someone new, I just wait see how they behave when we start being intimate. I wouldn’t continu…

Unfortunately it doesn’t get better when you move into the workplace. I’ve reported male colleagues, backed up with piles of evidence mind you, and been told ‘yeah we spoke to him he said he didn’t do it and it’s his word against yours’. That culture will thrive anywhere it’s allowed to

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
