Man, I'll be honest with you, you are going to regret it with either decision. I've had this exact experience. Only difference is, I married her. I regretted every last moment of it because 1) I wasn't true to myself, I didn't want to marry her, and 2) the person she became immediately after marriage was significantly worse. It didn't last very long before I filed for divorce and we are now not even friends. Be true to yourself. It will be hard, but if you don't disappoint her, the pain will be …

Yes, he vents most times but as an outsider I see they have a very toxic relationship. They fight all the time so I hear him rant quite often. From his perspective, she complains about everything and he tries to fix it. She is also rude. This is the first time I'm recommending tht he leaves her after what she said. I just dont want to observe a friend allowing himself to be dealing with that kind of treatment without saying something. He's a good guy, but I suppose I'm not the one in the relatio…

I respectfully disagree. Positive criticism is great for building the self with an open mind. It's an internal goal. Seeking approval from someone who wants to dictate how you should be is different. One is driven by the self, the other is driven as a result of being made to feel inadequate and trying to live up an other's expectations. The situation is not as transparent as you may think it is, I've mainly pointed out the concerns I had and things that she had said that may have lead to her bei…

Thanks for the input. Let me clarify, I take responsibility for my actions but I don't care about seeking approval from others to make decisions in my life. I lead my path. There was trust, the mentioning of power and equality etc was not from me. This was her thinking and how she voiced her opinion, I was just being myself. A leader. I made compromises, many. I was in a LTR so I treated the other person with significance. My firm stature was about myself and not being disrespected as a person. …

Gotcha. Thanks for the insight. I may not have completely treated her like a woman, but I didn't not appreciate the constant test of trying to overpower me. It would never happen. I would continue to stand my ground, while trying to also treat her well. I stood my ground respectfully. The fact that she couldn't own me is what seemed to frustrate her so she sought power via infidelity. I felt too powerful to her, I never tried to treat her beneath me. She said that how she felt. She is a modern d…

A bit of both I think. I wouldn't treat a dog like a human being, but as a dog.

Thanks for the analysis. Really if all women are like that then I just have to keep treating them like they are beneath me. Just like she had complained that I did to her. The arguing I walked away many times. I've given warnings and followed through with whatever I've said if she tried to get on my nerves etc. Overall she seemed like a very incomplete person with a huge gap that another person shouldn't need to fill. So I never was able to logically Invest much in her. Just took the pussy and g…

The reason I said that is that I picked her up from a pool of women that I should never have chosen a LTR. I will chose more wisely and never from that demographic. I'm not becoming a monk or anything like that. I don't feel upset, I feel numb. Maybe later it will kick in, maybe it never will. We had arguments these past few weeks where I chose not to engage. Each time she got more hysterical. I had to tell her she seemed like a crazy person when I am not drawn into the sphere of the dramatic in…

Well the laughing for hours is exaggeration, but I truly do not feel hurt. It's almost like I've been waiting for her to prove she is just a human being. She was very hopeful and expressed that she had everything to offer. I was not bad to her. I was dominant yet caring, to be honest I don't think she could manage an alpha guy. She had told me many times I am a very manly man. It was obvious between us who was leading, to the point that she felt she always had to chase me. I kept the her always …
