Jesus how many times do I have to say that no one expects you to get in the middle of violence and get yourself hurt? That's not what we're talking about. The OP is about rape, and the fact is that when interrupted all but the most violent of rapists will scatter (and you'll know the violent ones by the situation). The vast majority of rapists are unarmed. Sounds like some high schoolers scuffling. Yeah, that kind of shit makes up a vast majority of crime. I've encountered two big black dudes gu…

Walking around in the seedy offshoots of busy nightlife streets will do it. I never get involved with violence for my own safety (nor do I see that much of it straight out on the street), but in escalating situations, IME just saying something and making your presence known is enough to make people scatter. Criminals are often cowards. See two punks kids harass some drunk dude in an alley, just screaming "What the fuck is going on here?" in a stern voice will diffuse the punks. With guys trying …

That's a given, dont run into a gun battle trying to protect someone, but most of the time a simple "what's going on?" in a stern voice causes punks to scatter. Your initial comment made it seem like you don't give two fucks if a woman is getting raped because you're not a "White Knight" which is just fucking stupid because it's not "White Knightism" to help someone in distress, just being a decent fucking person.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/15 08:45 AM

Is it only white kinghtism when you're helping a woman? When it's a man is it just called being a decent human being? If you see someone in distress you should put aside your petty internal gender wars and help them.

I took a crime and violence class back in college. An amazingly small percent of rapes occur with deadly weapons. Further, there have been studies showing that most rapists would flee if confronted. If everyone were to "say something" when they saw sexual assault, there would definitely be less sexual assaults. That being said, is it responsible for the PD to encourage the masses to do stuff like this? It's probably inconsequential. I assume that most people, if they felt safe, would "say someth…

I must be doing something right to be at the top of TRP. TRP =/= intellectually stimulating. But it's cute that you think that.

I can't believe this pathetically lazy answer is the most upvoted one. Oh actually, it's TRP, so I guess I can.

Yes I know, so I asked a follow-up question (see, first sentence of my post) You claim to be 70% red so I thought it was appropriate, but really it's an open question for all the terps on here since I already know your opinion on it.

So why isn't it "Some people are immature" and not "all women are children"? I totally believe that people do not mature past 18, but it's not a female thing.

I don't think a woman could be president, because it's obvious what feminism would do to men at that point. We'd all be fucked. "I don't think men should be allowed to run the country, it's obvious what the patriarchy is doing to women" This is how ridiculous you sound. How can a group that claims to hate feminazis so much act just like them?

I went out with a guy who used to throw hissy fits when we were out later than he wanted. So with that anecdotal evidence do I win this debate? Women may be 18 but men are obviously 7?

We're really really bad to you because it's men trying to get laid. TRP touts abusive tactics. Straight up abuse is applauded on TRP on a daily basis. No one would care if TRP was just a bunch of guys trying to improve themselves, but it's not just that. Suppose we had a female version of the red pill, which told women to get fit and interesting in order to get more sex with better quality men (very similar to TRP), but they ALSO touted that women should use false rape claims if the relationship…

The species has been kept alive by the process of natural selection, which basically in today's society means that losers don't get laid and have the opportunity to pass on their genes. By your logic, TRP is basically the doom of our species since it's allowing sub-standard specimens to reproduce and remain in the gene pool.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/15 04:51 AM

So your point is that feminism is progress and TRP is regress? Are we going to act like anti-vaxxers and cancer researchers are equivalent?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/15 03:54 PM

Feminism has actually done some good in the world though. TRP got a bunch of teenagers laid. Winning the right to vote and losing your virginity are not the same thing. Her point is that you absolutely cannot say feminism is the female version of TRP.

Yeah that's how adult relationships work, sometimes you date someone for a short time and realize it's not working out so you end it. TRP seems to have no concept of how the mid-20s dating scene is.

Or you could just like, have a conversation. Assuming that all women want to be submissive in bed disregards the women who both like to be dominant and are turned off by power play. A simple chat before making a sexual faux pas is infinitely easier and more effective than having strangers on the internet tell you what to do.

It's ineffective in this context. Saying all men/women are ____ for the purposes of dating is just silly because dating is a personal thing and thus the actual subtleties of the person matter.

I'm not arguing that all generalizations are wrong, I'm just saying that gender-based generalizations are stupid because a gender has too much internal variance to effectively generalize. TRP generalizations are also insulting and ignorant, but that's a whole other ball game. OP asked whether BP thinks gender-based generalizations are useful, in an apparent attempt to get us to admit that they are. I'm saying they're not.

Do you think any gender based generalizations are useful to go by when single and looking or potential partners? No. All men aren't anything. This. You can still just not pay, take out loans in the kid's name. This just means that the kid won't get as much financial aid from the government, he's the one getting screwed here (and even the mother if she has the co-sign) not the stepfather (if he doesn't want to). Not arguing that this is enough and there's no disparity here, just saying that there are resources that battered men can be directed to, and that women's shelters would be happy to direct them to it.

Feminist who only comes on this sub for lols...I'm not pissed about this. None of my feminist friends would be. Sounds like you have a very uneducated opinion of what a feminist is. Actually..it is pretty funny that you seem to think feminists are some sort of "rable rable men should support me rable rable patriarchy!" headless chickens but you're basically a "rable rable femenists suck rable rable" headless chicken. You're acting just as ridiculous as the feminists you seem to hate so much.

I'm 100% Indian, born and raised. Don't tell me what I know or don't know about my own culture. This is real life, we're talking about current attitudes and trends in Indian culture. A statement like "India is way less racist against Muslims than Pakistan is against Hindus" is, while accurate, also ridiculous, since India prides itself on being secular and Pakistan does not. Don't think it's hard being a muslim in India? Have you ever even met a Muslim in India? A history lesson isn't really nee…

Asians/Indians aren't the protected minorities. This hits it on the head. Futhermore, it is true that presently Indian culture is harsh on women, but it's also harsh on muslims, gays, people of lower castes, dark skinned people, sikhs, east indians, poor people...the list goes on. Women are hardly the most disenfranchised group in the country. The fact is that India is a developing country that has a LOT of problems to deal with. I'd like to see some statistics that take into account age and education level when asking about feminism as well. For example, how many adults (over 18) under 40 with college degrees consider themselves feminists? Because the majority of people who post in TBP fit this demographic.

Yeah it's not a BP/RP issue, I think everyone can agree that it's a shitty, one sided relationship that needs to end because one partner is simply not willing to make any effort to address the needs of the other. That's not how any functional relationship works.

...you do know how dating works right? You see a bunch of people and then break up with the ones you're not compatible with so you can find someone you are compatible with, that's the whole point.

Source? Also in your first sentence you seem to care about pair-bonding, and in your second you seem to equate a ONS with an LTR because it's the 'same pussy', so you don't actually give a fuck about pair-bonding.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/14 04:56 PM

...maybe she didn't want them? Maybe some of them were ONS? Maybe some relationships ended for non-sexual reasons?

He said he would ONS but not date, so I'm assuming she's STD free. Why wouldn't she be good relationship material? As opposed to a woman who has only had 5 sexual partners, isn't it more likely that the second woman had 5 terrible relationships while the first just enjoys casual sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/14 04:37 PM
3

You don't need to justify it, but surely there's a reason you automatically dismiss a woman who has had several sexual partners. The question wasn't wether you would chose an identical girl with less partners, it was wether you would consider a woman with several and you answered No.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/14 04:33 PM

Why? How does her having sex in the past affect you in any way, except of course by her presumably being great in bed thanks to all the practice.

This is the correct response and I can't believe I had to go all the way down the thread to see it. I mean, this question doesn't inspire the philosophical debate you are implying it does, it's simple...80% of rapists are under 30, 80% of rape victims are under 30. http://budokan.wcart.net/WomenSelfDefense/RapistProfile.htm

First off, I don't agree that the popular rich guy is necessarily either beta or unmanly. Fame, resources and high social standing are attractive to me because it means I will be taken care of. They also sound like pretty Alpha traits to me, but I'm new to TRP and not an expert. These women who date beta guys only because they're rich..they're not in it for the guy they're in it for the cash. That's a whole different story and IMO has more to do with survival that sexual attraction, so I'm going…

I'm not 100% on that, I'm assuming it's because he's either extremely short sighted or just a dick. Any guy, I think, if given the choice between potentially having to pay child support for the rest of their lives and shelling out $300 for a one-time abortion would chose the later. I do know that after this they got into a huge fight and stopped talking, I imagine that he had said no just assuming she'd find another way to fund it, and when she didn't he had no way of getting through to her to e…
