Right. The cops want it. The union reps don't. Union reps don't work for the union members, they work for the union presidents. Body cameras make it hard for bad cops to stay on the force. Unions don't want bad cops to be exposed. This is the same in teacher's unions.

The fat acceptance movement has gained a lot of ground here in the US. They have a large platform now. They carry a lot of weight in society at the moment.

Holy crap. Did she actually lie? This could be a big watershed lawsuit if won by him. Other powerful men who've been defamed recently and lost work (e.g. Louis CK) might grow some balls and follow suit.

IMO, you shouldn't go out trying to convert, rather you should just show through your behavior, happiness, and success how your lifestyle of choice is good. Talk more about men "having self respect" instead of flat out saying you should ignore and avoid women. If you're doing well, others will want to do well and mimic you and ask what you do. If they ask and you say you avoid women, they can't be offended because, hey, they're the one who asked. It's annoying when someone talks about their work…

People going to college who shouldn't and the government giving out endless student loans are the reason college tuition is so expensive and continues to become more expensive. "Free college" isn't free. People who don't need to go to college to do what they're going to do for the rest of their lives shouldn't go to college.

My favorite media explanation for this is what they're calling the "glass cliff." Basically, they claim that female CEOs are most frequently appointed to struggling companies. But the stupid thing about this is that in these glass cliff studies they don't account for the difference between male and female founding CEOs and they don't really acknowledge that almost every time a new CEO is appointed to an already existing company, it usually means the company was struggling and fired their CEO (me…

This is why, even is the difference between Liberalism and Leftism. I think it’s fine for someone to marry whoever they want and I like publicly funded stuff, but when you turn stuff into law and mandate things by force, then whoever is in control of the rules can abuse them without any consent. Leftism is dangerous.

Clearly the BSA leadership was weak. Time to start a new one. There's no reason that fathers can't ban together to teach their sons basic survival techniques. Someone just needs to organize it.

Being a victim has become a currency. All the cool kids are victims now, so people are trying to figure out how to make themselves into victims. When a country rewards victims, it incentives people becoming victims and western countries are doing just that.

I'm gonna start a law practice that advocates for men to be able to marry themselves and get all the tax incentives that come with it. You should be able to identify as two individuals and marry yourself.

With all due respect, you have no idea what you’re talking about and clearly didn’t even put in the smallest amount of effort as to do quick internet search. The Supreme Court heard a case on AA in 2016 (https://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/24/us/politics/supreme-court-affirmative-action-university-of-texas.html) and upheld it 4-3. Certainly, with the addition of Gorsuch and possibly one more Constitutional judge, that already close ruling could swing the other way.

While we do have affirmative action in the U.S., many do believe it is discriminatory and unconstitutional and it may see it's day in the Supreme Court if our current president gets a second term. But OP is right that it would set a precedent for men's-only places, but only if someone takes the company in the article to court. The company will likely lose the suit and be forced to serve men as well, but someone would have to care enough to bring the case to court. Until then, it simply existing …

Holy shit. I recall when this happened, the lynch mob was out in full force claiming that this guy was 100% guilty even though there was no criminal conviction, real investigation, and the accusers were all anonymous. I warned that he had grounds to sue UCB and that it was a bad idea to ruin his career without a proper investigation and without any actual police report or criminal conviction. I got shot down for simply stating that it would be bad for UCB, an institution that I like, to do what …

I do this too now. I don't make small talk with women anymore because it's not worth risking them perceiving something in a way that can get me fired. I will never get drinks after work with any of the women in my office. I will never drink at any office function. I'm lucky to have a serious girlfriend.

This is exactly how I discuss this people who want to believe every and any accusation. They always agree that, yes, a person accused of murder needs to be tried before a court before being charged. Once they agree to that, they either have to say that rape is not as bad as murder or that is actually important to investigate claims instead of believing the lynch mobs.

"Rules for thee and not for me." When arbitrarily restrictive laws are created, their goal is to not be uniformly enforced, but to be used to selectively hinder companies that are not part of their political parties or clubs. Tax laws. Environmental laws. They're all selectively enforced.

I know personally from my industry (U.S. film industry) that there are quota hiring practices taking place. It's not the entire U.S., but in California, the state issues tax benefits and relief (which determine if certain companies or projects are even able to break even) for corporations that have a particular percentage of each category of the racial and gender spectrum. Fun fact: All those movies with all-black (e.g. Madea, that awful Annie remake) have nearly all-white production staff due t…

Do what you gotta do, but legally speaking, there are actual restrictions and quotas that many hiring managers and business owners actually have to abide by. This isn't just a joke - this is reality.

Hire whoever you want, but make sure they're comfortable "identifying" as whatever you need them to in order to appease the diversity requirements. Have an all-male staff? Make half of them identify as female.

So, like, are people allowed to advertise to just White people? Can I issue grants to just White people in certain areas of the country? This would be a great way to invigorate smaller towns. Give White people grants to move into towns like Detroit or some sparsely populated town in Kansas. Advertise to Whites in big cities. The Whites will leave and people will see the impact.

That's the real solution. They'll be begging for urinals back if all the toilet seats are covered in piss. Obviously, men don't like sitting on piss covered seats when they need to go #2, but they may have to tolerate wiping off some seats to get their urinals back.
