Wife confessed to affairOnce they cheat, they do it again. No matter what they say. Small outside miracle chance it could work if they agree to couples therapy and putting in legitimate work to heal from this. Get out, get some legal help. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/02/24 02:29 PM
I'm glad I took the high road.Amen to that. Been on that high road in a similar situation since October. Not always easy but there are ample healthy ways to channel the emotions for sure. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/02/24 09:30 PM
I don't have the money for this!!!Beauty and curse of NH, you aren't responsible for your spouse's attorney fees | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/02/24 04:39 PM
Phew.Live Free or Die is more than just humorously aggressive state motto around here lol | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/02/24 01:29 AM
Phew.NH rules a bit more evenly. Plus, we were only married for just over 4 years. Add to that, we had counter-filed an at fault divorce on the grounds of adultery (with evidence my lawyer says was sufficient to prove it out). If she had been found at fault the judges in NH typically awards half the shared estate (if listed solely in the at-fault parties name) to the party found not at-fault. Her lawyer likely took this into account in advising her. And, (I know this is said often here), am a nice gu… | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/02/24 12:07 AM

Phew.Agreed. Just glad I also got a little something to help me get back on my feet on my own. I hadn't saved anything per her claim we were all set now this past year. Dumb move on my part. Lol. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/02/24 03:19 PM

Phew.Nice! Sounds like you and your lawyer have your ducks in a row. Adultery is a tough one to prove in a court of law. Grateful we got things squared away in one mediation session with no hearings | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/02/24 02:13 PM
Phew.So if it goes sideways I don't go through the same BS again. I still believe in marriage, and want a family. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/02/24 02:05 PM
After divorce, did you take the time to go through your entire photo album and social media accounts to delete pictures of your ex?Not even completed yet, and I've already done so. Not reliving that everytime I scroll down my timeline | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/02/24 03:18 AM
F Her MentalityI haven't shut it off, but I have slowed it to the occasional drip. But you have to feel it and sit in it for a bit. Staving off the reaction is the worst thing you can do. Get a journal, find some creative ways to channel that energy into something beneficial for you (working on legal documents, going to the gym, etc). Much like my sobriety was, acceptance of the betrayal is a journey taken a day at a time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/11/23 04:02 PM
