To be fair, the prime issue of reliability in home tests is (dis)honesty, not the tests themselves. They're actually pretty accurate, although false positives do happen.

Except pointing a pistol at someone's head, even as a joke, is actually very horrible. And yet social discourse would suggest that the clenched fist is more aggressive than a finger on a trigger. Speaks volumes to the lack of education and understanding of gun safety, handling and violence. (this is true whether you're for or against guns).

I see the point your making, but I'm too intrigued and have to divert off topic a bit. What would constitute a bad dick day?

This is what I understood as well, Also, Drinking for a "predrinking" exercise doesn't make a lot of sense, even if you're doing it before "more drinking". I consider Predrinking to be something more like drinking water and having a solid meal.

I can confirm, the frat guys at my school weren't the stereotype at all. Granted, I was rushed for a frat, and this particular frat was considered the "poorer, partier" frat lol. But figured "fuck it, it's college, lets see what this is all about." The year before they'd been declared a dry house. Not clear why, but I know it wasn't a sexual harassment deal. More of a Too drunk, too loud too often sort of thing + not meeting their academic expecations as a house. Anyway. To account for this, the…

This appears to be a reposting from somewhere else. If it's on a non-TRP sub, then link that comment in /r/bestof and you might be surprised how well it does. TRPhilosophy actually goes a long way when you pull out the RP terms and simply call it like it is.

Agreed. I was merely confirming there's no science out there that firmly supports or identifies a significant advantage between one gender or the other when it comes to matters of mental maturity and growth. "Mental maturity" is not really well defined. That's part of the reason it's difficult to prove in any capacity. It's also much easier to measure the impact of external factors in physical growth/maturity than in mental growth/maturity, further complicating that issue. Cherry on top is the s…

It is possible to be submissive sexually and alpha at the same time. I have very strong doubts about that. Willful, consensual and overt submission does not inherently mean the person is not in command of ones self or innable to assert themselves or otherwise is a "beta." Part of sex and a sexual relationship is both partners enjoying it. switching things up is healthy, even who is in the dominant role. Maintaining the ability to assert yourself afterwards, maintaining your integrity and confide…

Assuming you have good financial standing when you're looking for a home, yes. If you don't have established and/or good credit, or a decent reserve of cash for downpayment, Renting/Leasing makes a lot of sense. Nothing wrong with renting/leasing a place while you get your feet (back) under you.

I'm not sure I get what you're trying to say. Are you saying it's bad or good to have a 4 year lease in that scenario?
/r/TheRedPill04/03/14 09:48 PM

Don't finance a car. Not bad advice, but it's debatable. I would say don't finance a brand new car. 4 year leases aren't always a bad gig. Lots of "ifs" there, but outside of paying cash in full it's one of the better ways to go about getting a brand new car. The upside of new cars is they tend to be reliable, and are covered under warranties. The obvious downside is massive depreciation. Financing a used car, single owner, good history, (and provided you have good credit) that is 1-2 years old …

In my experience, most lease agreements are 6month + agreements, not month to month. If you're one that tends to travel a lot, then I can see the sense in not investing in a home, given it's permanence and immobility. It is also important to note that Rent and Mortgage payment are two very different things. Too many people equate these to the same simple be a fee to pay to live somewhere, this is untrue. Rent is an expenditure, and speaking in terms of purely assets held, it is a net loss. A Mor…

Entirely agree. Financial Independence does not necessarily equate to not owning land/house/property, or not having debt. Rather, It states that you are not burdened by whatever debt or possessions that you do have. They may empower you, you may have a mortgage, but at the end of the day, you are still independent of them, and have control over them. ie you're not enslaved to a dead end job just to make ends meet. There's a "modern" movement that seems to oppose home/land ownership. A decent chu…

Just curious, why are we regularly posting redditlog links now instead of the actual reddit? I get the purpose of having redditlog available, but collapsing comments and viewing the rest of the thread is a pain on redditlog. Is it because they might delete them, and redditlog preserves them at a particular moment? or what? Genuinely interested as I dont see any other sub's doing it, maybe there's something about redditlog I don't know/get?

"resistance" to heroin is a bit of a logical fallacy in it's own right with regards to overdoses as a percentage of a population, but that's another matter. You're on point with the it's a function of the individual thing. If 90% of heroin users are asian (made up stats) and 80% of heroin overdoses are asians, then we can actually conclude that asians are less likely to overdose than other races. But it's not BECAUSE they're asian, is it? Also, math doesn't work like that. You can't make that co…

I'm going to nit pick the fuck out of you for this because I feel this needs to be said in general, not necessarily to you in specific, so apologies in advance, but this line of thinking irritates me. It comes down to Correlation is not causation in a way. The presence of opportunity does not equate to probability. They do not scale in tandem. The "opportunity" of being in a car accident does not actually lessen simply by virtue of me not being in a car. The PROBABILITY goes down, yes, but just …

Fair enough, I stand corrected at least on her account. Do we know how much of that is makeup and surgery (if any)? Instinct says yes, or can at the very least see it fast approaching. Depends on japanese culture towards older ladies and what her personal experiences are, but the wall is more than just looks aging and social market value, but also the biological time bomb that drives the woman to have a child while she's still healthy and able.

Caucasoid? I don't recall going through a yellow fever phase. There have been a few passing flings/ladies of interest that were of various asian ethnicities, but I never "caught the fever". Anime porn always confused me because I thought everyone was white, which struck me as odd if it was coming from japan.

I'm admittedly a bit ignorant when it comes to Asians, never been to Asia, never got into yellow fever, not terribly attracted to them tbh. So Asian women hold their youthful looks longer. Came as a bit of a surprise, I always thought it was the inverse.

Do you live in a tribe? Is this behavior acceptable anymore? No. /u/lordofthejelly is right about the evolutionary psychology of the matter, but that doesn't mean it's ok in today's world. Things have changed. "Evolution" is lagging behind, so to speak. That's not excuse enough for me to tuck up, and just say "Yeah ok". "It's the way things are" isn't a reason to stop anyone from calling "bullshit" on it.

Exactly. There's a part of me that gets angry over this, but at the same time, I kind of respect it. Blue pillers are going to see a visceral, hard to swallow honesty here that affirms our TRP view of the world, and it comes from the other side of the fence. I'm a bit saddened by many of the kind of "men" she'll be "courting", and that's really what triggers the anger in me. I don't necessarily agree with her world view, and certainly don't purport that it is morally sound, but that's all forgiv…

We should start a kickstarter. I'm willing to do it, I have A/V production and web development experience. I know my way around Premier, After Effects and Illustrator, although I don't claim to be a world class producer/designer. I've been a part of a few kickstarters before (on the creation side, not the donor side). Instead of assailing the ASB with complaints (while justified), we should start an awareness campaign or whatever you want to label it and make it about equality. Take this video's…

This hits right at the heart of MR if you ask me. Is it ok to hit women? No. Is it bad to put a video saying, "Hey, woman are getting hit, don't do that."? No. There's nothing wrong with that on an individual case by case basis. The goal of feminism, as a concept or ideal, is to achieve parity for the female gender with mens rights and privilege. That too, is an admiral goal. It is, in effect, pursuing equality among genders. However, it's focused on speaking out for the "underdog", at least in …

That's actually a fair point. But it's gender biased, this wouldn't work the same way in reverse for a multitude of reasons. And thats the real crux of the issue here. The punishment WOULD be severe if the genders were inverted.

Ignoring that this is the real world where theres bias, corruption, etc, and not an ideal world.. No. They violated their own rights of freedom and individual liberty by leveraging that freedom to impinge on the rights, health and/or general well being of others. Freedoms and rights come with responsibilities. If you can't handle those responsibilities, you forfeit those freedoms and rights. Freedom isn't free.

That's a fair shake. I suppose I've been thinking more of the 16-20 range than 20 to 25 when he said "under 25". Suppose in a way it depends on what you mean by stable. I've always viewed the wall as being 33ish for some reason, but then again I'm mostly immersed in the 20-26 age range so I've not first-hand experienced one hitting the wall.

It's a normal and common question; a turn of phrase people use simply out of habit. That doesn't necessarily mean that she wont in turn take your response and run it through her shit test processors. A lot of the interaction (on all sides) is simply about building a concept of the other person. This doesn't mean we sit down and interrogate each other, but we take away impressions all the same. We here often frame everything as a "shit test" for this reason. And what she intends to take away from…

One of the things that I don't think people realize before embarking on this is this: We all have our own frame of reality. A model of the world. A lens through which to perceive and makes sense of things. We define people through this model, and they define us through theres. How these various frames fit together defines our relationships. When you change your frame, you may find you no longer "fit" with who you used to. In particular relevance to those who take the TRP and the OP above: we oft…

Because a depression is a serious illness, caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. True, but the line of thinking that social/environmental/behavorial factors cannot be the root cause of this, and that medication is the answer is very dangerous thinking. Medication can help, and at times is indeed the answer (along with therapy). But therapy is the key part, and self improvement IS therapy. It is in fact the most effective therapy there is, and is essentially the whole point of therapy, is …

What does that have to do with this particular scenario. This is generally true, but not specifically important for this "move". And to be clear, it's not good looking, but good hygiene: Clean, groomed, doesn't smell bad, basic manners. Physical attractiveness is not necessarily the differentiating factor in whether you're a slob or someone who can take care of themselves. I'm assuming the cockiness is a recent development. If not then this could be a whole different bag of beans. Cockiness is not bad when done playfully. This is why if I'm using a 10 scale, 1 is neutral, 0 is do not want, and anything above 1 is levels above par. 10's are the kind that you meet very very rarely, I'm talking single digits per year.

I'm fairly new to seddit (more of a lurker), so I'm not entirely sure what the standard here is, but, my scales a bit different. 0 is neutral, anyhting less than 0 is undesirable, and then 1-10 are "levels above par". Generally I find this means my 0's are other peoples 5's.
