It’s one thing to value beauty in everything and quite another to base your self-worth on fitting into a pretty narrow ideal of “beauty” that redpill men prize. You have so, so, so much worth beyond your appearance!! And you have a better chance of meeting a true partner and having real love if you enter a relationship from a place of knowing your worth. My advice to you (from the other side of 35, where life is still pretty good) is to wear sunscreen and cultivate other parts of your life and p…

There are so many things that are troubling about his behavior, which is nothing but cruel, but telling a new freshly postpartum mom that she’s a bad mother?? Really takes the cake. And “You have no empathy” is as clear a case of projection as I’ve ever seen. OP, I am praying for your safety and hoping that an exit strategy emerges soon. You don’t deserve this treatment from the father of your child, or anyone.

Would it be possible for you to have a longer stay there without him? He could book a separate return ticket and you could stay as long as you want. As a bonus, he might realize he misses you and baby and could opt for a longer visit next time?

No, you are so young!! You have made the right choice for future you. This is the part that hurts and it's hard, but it won't last forever and you will be so, so, so glad that you protected yourself now.

Respectfully…if you can’t lean on your own integrity as a human being, and trust your own instincts about right and wrong, you should not be in an adult relationship. If “your man” is insisting that you parrot his beliefs on something? That’s not maturity, that’s not wisdom. That’s insecurity wearing a macho mask.

The site you link is misogynistic and reductive. OP, don't follow this person's advice; they're clearly coming from a place of bitterness.

+1 that a man with an anger problem is very, very, very dangerous and to be avoided at all costs. It is not normal or acceptable for a man to make his anger your problem. You are not a punching bag (figuratively or literally).

I don't know you or your fiancé, but I've read your posts and I can say that I am afraid for you. I am afraid that you will marry him and live a life of regret, and a life where you're not cherished or free to do what makes you happy. Going on walks on weekends and arguments without raised voices are very, very basic things. You can find someone who isn't selfish and thinking of his own pleasure at all times, even if it means your suffering. You can find someone with whom sex feels amazing and l…

Sure, of course. I'm just saying that if you're alone all day in a house with your baby and these dogs, and they're all your responsibility, and the dogs are climbing around where the baby is, you might find it literally unbearable.

He might not now, but if you live together that will change. Pet care defaults to the person who spends the most time at home (which you will be if you have a baby and stay home with them)

Do you want to have children with this man? Think about the impact of dogs on a future home that includes babies and children--will it be safe for them? Will you feel up to the task of taking care of the dogs in addition to your human children? I adore dogs in general, but I have to say that after I gave birth to my first child I began to despise my dog. It was really unfair because he was just being a dog!! But all the work involved in meeting his needs on top of being a mom (breastfeeding, kee…

There's a lot of options between fighting or silent treatment. Why can they not just talk about it and reach a resolution?

Agreed. He's a "nice guy" with simmering rage just under the surface, who doesn't advocate for himself and takes out his resentment on his fiancée. OP deserves an actual nice guy with a backbone and the ability to communicate his needs and wants, and to make her feel safe and loved.

I will also say: be cautious about marrying a man with a temper, and especially a man who sees no problem with gendered insults (cow, bitch) towards his coworkers of all people. I married a man with a temper, who did some name-calling here and there, and it was a very miserable situation for me and for my children. I'd do almost anything to go back and undo that mistake.

Your life sounds really difficult right now, and unnecessarily so. It doesn't have to be like this. I'm not saying leave him, but I'm asking what your circumstances would be like if you did. Would you have to stay living in this area, or could you move closer to your job? Would you feel less exhausted and more empowered to spend time doing activities you enjoy? And just for what it's worth, 24 is far from old. You are still very young and you have so many good years ahead. The "dating market" is…

That's totally different though. Going out to watch dancing in public isn't a hobby.

Yeah, but be realistic--being out in public is being out where men will exist. Asking her to perform in front of female-only audiences means no more public performance. And in that case, it's a totally different experience. Some hobbies aren't fun when done in isolation or with a ton of rules governing who can and can't be present. I'd bet any amount of money that she doesn't care about the "for men" aspect at all, it's just an inevitable part of existing in public spaces. It's actually a really…

Amit's timeline isn't adding up. Did Amit start undergrad at age 15? Medical school in the US takes 4 years, plus residency etc. Amit wouldn't be out of school and facing debt at age 23. And he'd have an apartment, regardless of the debt burden. Unless he's now in Americorps or something, but I assume you would've included that. But cool story, very relatable. Instructive.

Do you really want to be with someone who’s attracted to the teen version of you?? Or do you want to be with someone who appreciates and adores the full complexity of your human self? Looks are such a small element compared to how you present yourself and how people feel in your presence. You can be a complete 10/10 knockout but it won’t take you far unless you can also have a good conversation. If I were you, I’d focus on cultivating interests and getting good at conversation. And don’t try to …

"I'm sorry but the fact that you spend a lot of time reading is a dealbreaker for me." This is frankly just so bizarre. Why are you lamenting that someone who would say this doesn't want to date you?? If you change hobbies to meet some arbitrary standard based on weird feedback from small-minded men...you will probably succeed in getting into a relationship, but you won't be happy. And neither will he. Your hobbies and interests are so much about how you experience life and joy, and it would be …

Why did he allow himself to get taken for a bunch of money in the breakup? Did they not have any contracts around their housing situation? Or was he just eager to get out of there ASAP and gave her whatever she asked for?

What stands out to me is that your two main dilemmas--around housing and birth control--are somewhat self-imposed. You could very easily agree to buy a home without being engaged first (make sure both your names are on the title to the property and try to have your financial input as close to 50% as possible) and you could also take control of your contraceptive options so that you're not taking risks. I can relate to this so much, and it's understandable to have these things seem like outside f…

Is he being treated for his mental illness? How frequently is he attending therapy, and does he take medication? Untreated mental illness is a dealbreaker, imho. He is responsible for making himself a suitable partner and not behaving abusively towards you. I think it would be a good idea to think hard about your boundaries--how long are you willing to be in this relationship under these conditions? What will you do if he escalates this behavior?

Agree with this comment--honestly, it will be easiest to grieve this loss as though it's a death. Because the man you fell in love with is no longer here, and he's not coming back. In some ways, a terrible circumstance is a blessing, because you can proceed with certainty that you're doing the right thing. You have some self-preservation instincts that are obvious in your post. I really hope that you can see them through, and envision + pursue a way forward where you don't abandon yourself in fa…

I'm not telling you to leave him, but you're at a disadvantage in these negotiations if you're unwilling to walk away. He's already walked away, and he's gotten what he wants: unlimited cheating and a wife who will take it. What do you want, and how can you regain some power here? It sounds like you are a great partner, and I think you should continue on this path. Give him absolutely zero reason to blame you for his choice to cheat. It's also a good idea, if he has a history of punching walls e…

it's not going to look like "tests" per se, just pay attention to little things like: "I'm going to pick up some groceries" or "I'll call you at 8."
/r/RedPillWomen08/04/24 06:59 PM

I mean, how is he in other areas of life? Do his words generally align with his actions?

He doesn't clean at all?? What would happen if you were injured or sick and couldn't do all of this work for free? Would he step up, or would his house just deteriorate?

God, this guy sucks. As others have said, he's not in love with you as an individual person. He's in love with having a submissive bangmaid who subsidizes his lifestyle. If he loved you and cared about you, he would want you to be happy and feel good. He would want you to feel cherished and secure in the relationship. There’s a big difference between this (putting you down) and encouraging self-improvement and being your best, etc.

Personally I (a lady) don't see a need to text between introduction and actually meeting, unless it's to confirm something about your date or say "I'm on my way," etc. Leave the chit-chat to the actual date. But what's most important here is how you feel about texting--do you want to have chatty text conversations with someone before you meet them? If you don't, then don't. If you do, do it! Remember that women aren't a monolith, and that what one woman will interpret as neglect or ghosting will…
