I don't think this explains it entirely though. After 1 date with a person you don't really have an emotional connection. For me at least, if a potential partner says they want to keep looking and select the best it hurts my ego, whereas it's not the same with a job. Personally 2 reasons come to mind: If she's just looking for the best, I am replaceable. As soon as someone else comes along I can be replaced (harder in the job market?) Jesus Christ the cop way overreacted. Was the woman in the wrong absolutely, but cops should handle situations better, regardless of gender. He started strangling her at one point which is completely not necessary and was threatening to shoot her when she already was complying. Way over the top
