Since we’re basing this on anecdotes, I think this particular scenario you’re describing is only really when we’re engaging in the OLD scene (or something as superficial and looks-based as that). As in, ONLY looks and there is no prior interaction or emotional connection. At least in my circle when my girlfriends thought it was fun to rate each other’s Hinge matches, we’d kind of clown on each other for having xyz tastes. But it’s really nothing personal at the end of the day. To be honest I jus…

Bro you could say that about the way men on this sub talk about women. Honestly I don’t have relationship issues and I’m just here due to my morbid curiosity, but the way some men and women talk about each other here seems like they need to reevaluate their life choices 🥴

A more innocent example from me: When I was in my very first relationship at 16 (dated for two years), I was enamored by the guy but really didn’t enjoy our kissing sessions. I just thought I was weird for not liking the act of kissing but I kissed him anyway because I loved him and wanted to please him as a good girlfriend. We broke up and I met a new guy after a year - I told him “I like you a lot, but although I’m not a big fan of kissing, I’ll do it anyway because you want to kiss me”. And i…

The world doesn’t separate the wild from non-wild, and neither are we separate from it. You speak as if we still live in a hunter-gatherer society. When I said we aren’t living in the wild, I mean those in developed nations have access to healthcare and benefits, and simply won’t die for having an unexpected child. They can receive benefits to support their current living situation, although it’s not an ideal place to be. but I don’t think that anyone aside from maybe parents should be “teaching…

Hard to measure or predict, but it’s definitely not a bad thing if the state puts effort to increase awareness about sexual consent. It’ll spark a discussion between young adult men and women and allow them to be more overt with their boundaries, don’t you reckon?

It’s unrealistic to expect natural selection to “weed people out” when humankind lives in an organised society, not out in the wild. The US especially, as it is a developed nation where its citizens can access welfare and benefits if they find themselves in unsavoury situations (ie. single parenthood, unexpected pregnancy when young and unskilled, etc). Which is why I strongly believe people NEED to be educated on their options regarding how their biology works, how contraceptives work, what leg…

How is that lying and gaslighting? When I’m literally trying to communicate my ideas to you guys on this sub just like I am here now. Yet you’re shutting me down because you think I’m exaggerating/lying/whatever the fuck. It’s this sort of reactionary bullshit to anything women say on this sub which is why we can’t have a decent fucking conversation.

Mate I don’t think you should gaslight u/flapperfemmefatale for not wanting to entertain/accommodate those with lower emotional maturity. It’s noone’s obligation to “offer compassion” to anyone. Also your hypothetical doesn’t show many ‘parameters’ for one’s emotional maturity, so it’s hard to answer a vague A or B. But let’s start off by addressing what ‘emotional maturity’ is; IMO it’s how well one is aware and in command of their emotional wants/needs, while also being conscious of the wants/…

I just think it’s rather unfair because myself and other women on this sub are trying to understand and communicate with men on our issues, perspectives and values. Sometimes the things we think anger some men/clearly don’t align with some men’s image of women (which I know it sucks that they’ve probably had unfortunate life experiences with women), which I assume you’re quick to point out as gaslighting/lying/whatever you justify it as. But just saying, treating this sub like a circlejerk is ba…

You think I can find my Prince Charming on Tinder? LMAO. Strap in ladies, I’m bout to doll myself up for an hour so that I can endure a sad pizza date while he tries to convince me all night to let him use my holes, yes that is definitely how I’ll find the perfect man. My ex was the best fucking boyfriend I’ve ever had, we broke up because we’re in two different fucking continents and our job prospects aint changing. But of course the incel on PPD knows all about the nuances of breakup and relat…

Bro did someone just dump you? Who is this magical guy you’re talking about. I broke up with my boyfriend of two years about two months ago because long distance isn’t working out. Been single ever since, where is this Mr. Prince Charming on a unicorn to come pick me up?? Not to mention that there’s still a deadly pandemic going on, I can’t just meet new people on a whim. Or maybe my Rich and Successful Prince Charming whom is Packing 8 Inches is immune to the coronavirus too?!

Do you not have any concept of human emotional attachment? This is literally the same thing as “oh you had a falling out with your best friend, why can’t you find another best friend there are so many people out there that can fill the gap of [friend]”. Because relationships take time and a lot of emotional investment. You can’t just replace people in the snap of two fingers, you need to have mutual sexual attraction, have good chemistry, you need time to get to know the other person in an extre…

Uh, aren’t you missing the point of PPD then? It’s a debate not an echo chamber. If you’re purposely ignoring women’s posts and comments because you don’t believe them (as obviously in your head, your opinion is law) then you are taking nothing of value from this sub. Might just wanna stick to your own safe spaces.

Idk mate I’ve had an instances where I’ve been followed, or had drunk men scream at me for no reason before. It depends where you live really, but those events have kind of traumatised me that I can’t feel100% safe walking from my apartment to the grocery anymore.

Because those are not pre-emptive measures for harrassment. And I’ve never lived in countries that allow me to carry those things (except pepper spray). I’d rather have noone harass me at all.

We could be arguing semantics but I don’t think this is the right type of “respect” in this context? When I hear people say “respect women”, I think ‘respect their boundaries; respect their autonomy to their bodies, social and financial lives’. Unfortunately that isn’t the default globally, as there are still many backwards countries with oppresive attitudes towards women. Even in the West, some men need to be reminded. Respect in the context you’re talking about is more personal respect to hold…

Yes, but saying that the game exists solely due to a woman’s natural disposition towards men is disingenuous imo. At least in my experience, when I’m entering male-dominated spaces with no romantic/sexual intentions, I’ve had more men try to play such games with me than the other way around. And like I said, if such games didn’t naturally exist within men then I wouldn’t usually be treated with skepticism or enthusiasm when interacting with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/21 03:40 AM

Mate that’s honestly a really unfair assumption. As a woman I didn’t even know that such a “game” existed until I started browsing reddit. In a perfect world without games, I’d have more platonic friendships with men due my personal interests (nerdy shit) than be sidelined or treated differently by virtue of me being a woman.

Had this happen to me when I was hanging out in public with my sister. I kept trying to ignore the guy (and his friends) next to me at a crêpe place, but they still kept trying to holler at me, interrupt my conversation, feed me compliments at a very inappropriate time. I don’t have an RBF and I always feel anxious turning people down but I obviously gave them the cold shoulder as these guys were downright annoying. I suppose they had the same mindset as you, I didn’t want their attention and th…

No, I believe you misunderstand. Women aren’t disgusted by TRP because of its noble intentions (and I do believe it has them). There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to better yourself as a person. What women are disgusted by is the fact that TRP spaces are a blatant breeding ground for sexism and even racism: dehumanising, objectifying and villianising women (in TRP us women are not equal, we are something to be controlled and punished - enabling abusive dating strategies and behaviour).…

Can you explain what you mean by game? New to this sub and slowly picking up the vernacular around here. This is also perhaps where our disagreement lies because you do not see women as equal in this aspect. Don’t know how old you are but as a young woman in my 20s (in the UK), people my age mostly think body count only matters with a person’s level of comfort with promiscuity and not gender. I’m super grateful for that, can’t imagine living in a society that holds an unrealistic puritanical exp…

Have you missed out on TRP rhetoric regarding persistence for sex even though the woman is reluctant to give consent? Or the blogs that argue that married woman cannot deny their husbands sex? Or how women do have a desire to be raped “by alphas”? TRP is so vast in ideas that at this point it’s hardly strawmanning when you can find examples of such outrageous rape-apologist rhetoric, if you look hard enough for it.

If there’s nothing degrading about a man sleeping with many women then we should agree that there’s nothing degrading about a woman sleeping with many men. In the eyes of men in the manosphere/TRP, a woman’s value deceases by the more men she beds. A clear double standard.

“If you tell a woman how you got up there, they usually recoil in disgust”...I’m sorry, what? I’ve never heard of such blatant bullshit on this sub before LMAO. Where did you get the idea that women don’t love the idea of rags-to-riches (and not just in a financial definition)? From my experience, it’s super attractive to women to see that a man has drive, determination, and ambition to get somewhere. Men that start at the top don’t typically develop the best qualities unless he was raised a cer…

While it’s obviously not healthy to obsess over any ideology (for or against it), this scrutinisation has definitely brought in some healthy dialogue in spaces like PPD, has it not? Discourse and critical thinking should always be encouraged, not echo chambers. Some users here like to treat this discussion as a flame war but at least it gives other lurkers alternative perspectives.

Bro do you seriously think women only seek male attention just for a pump of dopamine? At 16 I quickly learnt that it’s a very unhealthy source to get my brain chemical fix from, fuck that 😂

Yet we’re in the information age where everyone has access to all forms of thought and ideas. Being purposely blind to TRP is like closing your eyes every time you get a hateful message online LMAO. You can’t see it but you know the ideas are out there floating around and it will somehow bite you in the ass if you’re not careful. That’s why women need to be more aware of TRP so they know how to recognise abusive tactics and forms of behaviour and how to steer clear/counteract it.

Chiming in with my anecdotal experience; as a woman with that mostly interacts with men on a day-to-day, my experience with manosphere men has been very negative (not surprising). I’ve read and heard people talk about the noble intentions behind TRP, but I’ve personally yet to meet a redpiller in person that won’t act like an asshole towards me by virtue of me being a woman. My experience with them has been in the workplace and socially (through gaming). I noticed I’m usually either ‘sexualised’…

Undercover superhero. It’s kind of telling in my own life: I fell for (and probably still am) head-over-heels over a dude that’s considered nerdy, pretty awkward and ‘conventionally unattractive’ in his physical features. But I was super attracted by his intelligence, talent for music and videogames, the fact we make each other laugh, etc. I’m basically the only female attention he’s ever gotten and when I started coming onto him, I got a lot of comments from his friends/other guys that thought …
