Ungh, ex husband was a professor as well. This post is incredibly validating. When things were falling apart, he would say the family and I were most important, yet in practice, every student was more important than us, even when things were completely falling apart. The life coaching of every single student stuff kind of makes me want to puke now. I’d read his reviews online and all the students obviously adored him, lots of crushes, but he was never there for ME when I needed him. Now we’re di…

Exactly. What adults have sleepovers anyway. This is all so weird, I’m glad you’re not continuing to date this person.

Omg, does this mean no one will bother me about anal sex anymore? Praise be.

Eek, yes. I think the reason this list of professions is so long is the reason FDS needs to exist in the first person - these men are everywhere. What are the GOOD professions? The one hard and fast one for me is probably cops. I am actually kind of sickly attracted to men in positions of power (I am just not dating at all actually because I need to work on this), but it really freaks me out the potential to abuse power, and the buddy-ship with other cop friends.

I dunno why this grossest me out so much. Not that a man can’t ever experience sexual harassment, but just the inability to see what is in plain sight - women experience sexual harassment throughout their lives, from childhood onward, and men rarely do.

Catcalling. Omg. Sorry I’m triggered. I have heard men say that it’s something they do out of generosity to make women feel good. Wtf. It only ever made me feel uncomfortable, off balance, and in the worst case, scared out of my fucking mind (alone with the cat callers on a deserted beach. More like harassment I guess…what’s the difference? Literally ran for my life). I don’t get catcalled nearly often as when I was 16. 16. I would rather be invisible. Thanks for the generosity, I guess, but no …

I can’t tell you how angry this makes me. I respect and admire this woman, and I know she’s come out as a sexual assault survivor as well. How in the world she stays in the public eye and continues to be so strong is beyond me. Amazing person, AOC ✊

OH - there’s that couple from flip or flop, Christina and Tarek. She had to leave him after he held her at gun point during a mental health episode…and they still continued running the show after that.

If it was a surprise, I honestly can’t stand that. Why is springing the idea of marriage on women when they’re caught off guard even a thing? It should be discussed at length, seriously, in private. What do I know though. I’m just a girl. Who regrets getting married to anyone at all.

I just found this place and am really thrilled there are other women out there who share some the perspectives I’ve developed. I’m in my 30s, going through a divorce, and realized I’ve never really had good experiences with men. No man has ever really wanted to be my friend, just get in my pants. I’ve been used and manipulated and discarded. I could fill up a whole post with my personal “me too” moments, getting touched inappropriately by friends, strangers, teachers. I’ve also come to realize t…
