In time, religion does return but the initial impact of those wars on western religion is a historical tragedy. Peace and prosperity accelerated the decline of religion, already started by those wars. Poland and Russia have both had more strife and tension than other western countries and I think that has generated the religiosity that you see today. But the wars negatively impacted them too.

WWI and WWII destroyed muscular Christianity. Look it up. It is my personal belief that those who wished to transform society, orchestrated the world wars to kill of Protestantism and Catholicism in the western world, but you are entitled to your opinion obviously. There was nothing mysterious about it.

It really isn't all that different from you guys here (I've been a long time lurker) so keep doing what you guys do, and definitely don't change your thoughts! All the knowledge is in the side bar, so if you are ever curious, do pay us a visit sometime.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
