Yes exactly, mom gets paid regardless of what dad pays. So the state keeps track of every cent to make sure dad always pays it eventually, even if it means suspending his license or throwing him in jail!

Get a lawyer, start the fight for full custody. Once you show that you're OK with less then you will absolutely never be given more. To be quite honest it's a shit situation to be in. However, your child needs their dad. Best of luck, just remember that you're not the first dad to struggle against this.

Just think I should play a bit of devils advocate from the perspective of a working mom (husband prefers to be home and raise his daughter because he never got the chance to with his first child).
