You seem to have a very harsh world view that seems to be unfounded, it's like a harsh application of Darwinian evolution to every situation. They aren't really realists tbh, they are just selling you an ideology that appeals to science and evolution, through dubious ways at best, and even if wasn't dubious it does not nec. mean its correct(scientism).

Man this read was quite the heart breaking one, takes some real guts to admit all that. In the first part where you talk about your pickup game, I think I know what went wrong.
