Wdym? It was on my Snapchat story, which she saw, and I was at the rock climbing gym without her.

Not sure if I understand this correctly, but I had someone at the rock climbing gym take a pic of me then I posted it up on my Snapchat story. I post interesting things I do on there, so I figured I may as well post that as well.

Gotcha. I'm mad at myself cause I was gonna go radio silent then I saw some dudes say you look more butthurt doing that. Good to see you backing the silence move. I completely forgot about the short replies = low investment. Guess it's a battle to invest the least. I just read a little further into your post and saw she was sending selfie snaps, that's a good sign, not sure why she changed her level of investment like that Regarding this part, are you saying she originally had low investment wit…

Gotcha. Thanks for all this. I'm saving this comment for future reference. I'll just leave her out there then. I know she watches my stories, so we'll see if that ever pushes her to shoot me a message one of these days. Regarding the text logs and my profile, I'll get around to sending pics of my profile later, but there's not really any text logs. We used Snapchat and I didn't message her much. Our interactions can be summed up in a quick list. For reference, we matched and exchanged contact in…

Thanks for the advice. Regarding the plan changing, I wasn't going to chanhe plans at her whims, but my own instead. Not sure if you saw this part edited into the OP, but I added it to this comment as well. Update: She replied 7 hours after the time I was supposed to pick her up. I figured she just wouldn't reply cause I can't imagine trying to think of an excuse for replying 7 hours late unless something serious happened. Apparently this was her attempt at doing so.. Damn my bad I didn't have t…

I figured she just wouldn't reply cause I can't imagine trying to think of an excuse for replying 7 hours late unless something serious happened. Apparently this was her attempt at doing so.. Damn my bad I didn't have time to see your text I started laughing my ass off as soon as I read it. I couldn't have imagined that I'd get an excuse that weak, but I did. I didn't reply and I'm not gonna pursue another date cause I hav…

Yup, I was lucky enough to learn that in high school from some experiences I went through. If you're always relying on other people to do stuff, be it going to the gym or going out for fun, you'll be stuck at home when there's no one available/willing to go with you. Fuck that. Just gotta go find a way to enjoy it alone and maybe meet some people while out.

Yessir. I'm not gonna lie, even though I had no expectations, stuff like this makes me wanna just focus on the gym and not even bother with women for a while, but that's probably a terrible idea for someone like me who's already behind the curve as is. Oh well, guess I'll try again. Any tips y'all wanna drop for the future? If she messages with an excuse? If she just flat out ignores the messages? I've been reading stuff, but I'll take any advice since I'm inexperienced.

So, I sent her a text last night saying "Remember to wear something you're comfortable moving around in." She replied "Ikkkk." She's also been sending good morning selfies every day, maybe hoping to fish for validation. All this led me to believe she had a decent to good amount of interest, but my gut told me there was a high chance she was gonna flake. Fast forward to today. No good morning selfie, so I already knew something was amiss. I was supposed to pick her up around 3 PM, so I messaged a…

Dope. Thanks bro. It's looking more and more like she might flake, so it looks like I'll have to save all your advice for another time lmao. This answered a lot of questions though and I think I have a general idea of what to do.

Hey, thanks for this. It came just in time and assuaged my concerns. I'll make sure to head in with the mindset that I'm there to climb and have some fun, and she just happens to be accompanying me there. as long as she's aware of the distance this is fine In regards to #1, should I just tell her the distance to the place once I pick her up? And final questions. How important is it that I get the kiss to end the date? I'm definitely nervous about that, but I'm gonna try and go for it if I see th…

We have a setup for one of the benches at our gym, and the angle can be adjusted. Goes up to 30 degrees, which is what I use for incline barbell pressing. I'm gonna give the dumbbells a try and see if I like it enough to stick with it over the barbell. Just don’t be dumb and decide now you must do zero shoulder/arm work and wait for your chest to catch up. Do your chest work first then do some shoulder/arm work. Yup, this has been the plan. I gave way too much focus to my arms in the past. Now I…

What's your opinion on incline barbell pressing? I've mainly been doing that and a bunch of flat barbell benching as my primary movers. Wish I had started benching earlier. I'm happy with the progress I've made since starting it, but I always think about how much further down the line my chest would be if I had done it from the start. Oh well, you lose some, you win some.

Yeah, I can see it as coming across to people who see it as too tryhard, which isn't a good look. Gotcha. That seems to be the consensus right now. I guess until I find a situation where I can get some friends to take a pic of me shirtless at the beach or sonething, I'll just use a tripod in my backyard and get some staged pictures.

Thanks for the good idea. I'm gonna look into doing that.

This comment hurt cause it's so true. Picked up lifting a little over a year ago and for the first 8 months, I didn't do any benching. Just did isolation stuff for my arms and dumbbell pressing for my chest. Chest didn't change for shit until I switched to benching. Closing in on 2 plates, but my chest is still seriously behind.. I'm not really in many shirtless situations with friends, so until I can get a chance to ask for a picture, I'll just get something in my backyard.

That's just a physique pic. I was thinking someone might bring up the mirror, but then I was like nah. Guess I was wrong. And gotcha. I figured this was it, but I've heard some people say it doesn't really matter, with the logic that if you're attractive enough, it won't matter. Thanks man.
