You know what you are talking about, until you do not. I hope you will, someday.

I do not mean to berate you, but I am sure that you haven't even had glimpse of Jhana, neither did author of 'The Mind Illuminated'. Buddhist scriptures have both merit and danger of speaking of things very clearly and in very classified way. This can pose danger, as some intellectualist can try to stretch their own experience in order to reach the classification of Jhanas. It's fitting of a square peg in a round hole, in order to glorify your ego 'that you have made it'. By the way that the Jha…

Increased neuronal activity in cerebellar cortex responsible for sensing your own body, you could observe it on MRI. It's analogous to the situation when you are writing some important test, when you can feel greater tension in your frontal part of the brain. This is normal and desirable.

Yes, that is what I would do on your place. Start with 2 months of keto (during first 14 days, eat 5g of salt in water, it is extremely important - if you don't do that, you will feel like shit). Then go to Carb Nite (6 days keto, 1 day of high carbs, after ~3PM till sleep). Then if you are at your target 10-12%, go to keto non training day with 200~g of high GI carbs (white rice, white potateos, even some jellies and cookies) 1-2h after workout. You can supplement metformin 500mg for every 100g…

Muscle gain on keto is possible, but is not the fastest way to gain muscle. It is an easier way to get only lean weight, but you can do that while using carbs faster and more efficiently, BUT it requires more expertise and control. As far as actors are concerned, when they do interview, they wont say that their typical breakfasts is composed of eggs, vegetables, trenbolone and growth hormone. But that is reality. On a funny note, one of actresses in my country said that her workout routine is '1…

I began cutting at 15%~ while not being on deficit. I eat at maintenance and still lost fat and gained a bit of strength. The high metabolism level is a key to a succesful cut. I went to a deficit only when I approached about 12% bf (-10% deficit). Eating keto is very good for losing a lot of fat; lowering your trigliceride levels and it is an easy way to keep low bf, but not if you have a lot of muscle. When you have a lot of muscle, on keto your muscle mass will be compromised and your workout…

Well, you in backloading you charge your batteries before going to town. Even more so than conventional diet: Let's suppose you wake up 7. You eat breakfast at least one hour from waking up, most optimally around 5-6 hours from waking up. You eat your 'breakfast' at ~11, you eat veggies, fat, protein. This combination takes a lot to get digested, so the nutrients are slowly released even up to 8 hours after your meal. You eat you veggie, fat, protein lunch. You work out at 16~, finish 17~. At 18…

You look swole because mostly of water retention, but it does in fact help muscle growth. It is short term effect of carbs - glycogen stores are fuller. But the 'gains' = muscle tissue growth over time, is impaired on keto because VLCHF diet fails to stimulate mTOR pathway to maximum. So you will build muscle on keto, but not in the fastest and most efficient way.

Well, the top posts of all time are not quite mine definition of shredded. You can get pretty lean, but as far as biochem is concerned, keto is: (1) very good diet to get to ~10-12%, while maintaining muscle (2) not a good diet to get below 10% (3) Not a good diet to pack on muscle (weak anabolic response) (4) Not a good diet for high intensity endurance training (5) STELLAR diet for endurance sports like cycling or marathon. Besides, after some time (like 3-4 months), your hormonal levels TANK …

Steroidogenesis (i.e. testosterone) is entirely dependent on cholesterol. That's why if you try to cut and you drop your fats low, then your T levels are going to plummet. I wouldn't say that keto increases T levels significantly in the long run, there are too factors in this process.

Check out carb backloading. I'm eating CH only post workout. I've dropped to now around 9-10bf (at 202 pounds) and my lift are slightly going up on the cut.

Negatively. It cuts your gains I would say by 50%. From biochem pov, there are 3 things important in repairing your muscle after training (mTOR pathway activators) - energy state of cell, insulin, intracellular leucin. While on keto, you get only somewhat activation from leucin. Training on keto is extremely hard, you can't push yourself that much. However, I'm now on diet while I'm basically on keto but eat 250 (for 200lbs, 9% bf) carbohydrate, 100g protein and as little fat as possible 1h post…

Considering your nick (numbers), what you said about 'having a question' and the fact that you are from GB... I have very straightforward question - are you in Work?
