If you’re trying to decide whether to reach out to male friends you’ve lost touch with, as a general matter, don’t. There are some exceptions - professional networking, for example. Contact him through LinkedIn, that sets a different tone than non-professional social media or a personal email. Otherwise, they’re going to wonder why you’re contacting them after so much time, and most men will assume it’s because you’re interested in more than friendship.

Yes, they want a woman to be an accessory to their lives. She’s not allowed to have her own friends or family or interests, at least not if they conflict with anything his people are doing. She should be available to be a date to all his events but leave him alone when he wants a spontaneous guys night until 2 am on a Tuesday.

HVM are rare. If you’re wasting your time with a LVM then you won’t be available when you cross paths with a HVM. That’s why it’s so important to vet and not waste your time.

What do you want to bet she spent the $200 on more craft supplies. I also love that he hid the true amount of his bonus. It’s $12.5k AFTER tax withholdings, which means it’s probably a $20k bonus.

I hear you on the mid-30s Peter Pans. It’s so frustrating. So many of them present as HVM, too. They have real jobs! They own a home! They know how to cook! And then you realize they stop all housework as soon as there’s a woman around. They regress to 14 in the presence of other men. You’re a controlling harpy if you expect them to come home on a night they say they’re going to “happy hour” which really means get annihilated and crash on someone’s floor at 3 am on a Tuesday. Unfortunately I don…

It’s incredibly irresponsible to tell people that ED in young men is common and nbd. Putting aside death grip issues for the moment, it can be a sign of a number of very serious health problems. They need to get to a doctor immediately if it happens without some obvious reason, especially if it’s a repeat occurrence. The cultural narrative that men are invincible and shouldn’t take their health seriously is so toxic. I would expect a HVM to see ED for the health emergency that it is. He needs to…

Don’t use trauma as a way to bond with people. That goes both ways - don’t continue to date a man who “opens up” (dumps on you) about trauma within the first couple months of dating, and don’t talk about your own trauma in any detailed way. I would go so far as to say that there is never a reason to go into detail about past traumas no matter how serious the relationship. You have to really consider the reason for bringing it up. Are you/is he still trying to work through their past? That’s what…

“My dick’s too big to stimulate a g spot vaginally” lol what? Apparently it’s never occurred to him that it doesn’t have to go in all the way? What if his partner had a low cervix? Nope sorry I’m going to injure your cervix repeatedly because I can’t be bothered with silly things like self control or giving a shit about you. Red flag city, friend.

Never go to bed angry - as an excuse to keep you awake all night until you agree with him out of pure exhaustion. Locking me out of our shared bedroom is abuse - when you’re trying to remove yourself from an argument because he’s too drunk/emotional (let’s start calling anger what it is - being emotional) to actually talk or let it go. Keeping me away from my friends is abuse - when you expect him to keep his word when he says he’ll make dinner, or we have plans, or he’s supposed to fix somethin…

The family pressure is so true. A woman I know was begging for a ring for 5 years, he refused to even talk about timelines. They bought a house together and his family wanted to come visit. I guess he’d been lying to his family for the 4 years they’d been living together, because he knew his family wouldn’t accept that they were living together before marriage. So they got engaged and married within 2 weeks.

I’m glad you posted in this sub. I’m sick of Reddit gaslighting women for having normal expectations about Valentine’s Day. Flowers, chocolate, dinner - standard v-day experience is spelled out for them. It’s everywhere starting like the day after Christmas. Even grocery store and pharmacy check out lanes cater to them ffs, it’s so easy to do the bare minimum. Men aren’t stupid. They know what’s expected of them. And yes they also know if you hate chocolate or you’re allergic to roses or you can…

When I was watching, I thought the story was going to be that Cecilie was trafficked not “just” conned out of money. That first date was so scary. Never allow a man to control your mode of transportation until you have known him long enough to be in a relationship!

Sir, it’s your personality that is repulsive to women, not your face. No one wants to date someone who radiates contempt for them. That’s not actually an attractive quality. Ffs.

Did anyone else pick up on the fact that he HELD HER THERE after he dunked her head into the cake? Can you imagine? You just married the love of your life, you’re nearing the end of what’s supposed to be the happiest day of your life. And then he grabs you, takes the back of your head in his hand, forces your face into a cake, and then holds you down with your airways in the middle of a cake while you struggle against him to get away? How traumatizing. It’s truly shocking that anyone who witness…
