Thanks for sharing your journey. You have definitely put in the work and the results speak for themselves. Enjoy the ride, man!

This is an interesting comment. I think with the advent of social media, people are becoming less skilled in vetting people, both men and women. There is less actual face to face interaction for young people these days and that's how you get good at vetting people, by actually getting out there in the real world and interacting with people face to face

I'd like to think I have more freedoms than most married guys and that I can do pretty much "anything" except bang other girls. Examples being spir of the moment Vegas trips and ski trips to colorado. I love music festivals and the biggest thing that I couldn't believe she agreed to was attending lost lands music festival when she was 7 months pregnant with our second. I attended this merely a month after another music festival. Kids definitely make it harder and I'd say I've had to cut back mor…

I consider myself in a successful marriage with a submissive traditional values kind of girl. Absolutely amazing mother. Marriage is a huge commitment that most people just cannot keep these days in our instant gratification, on to the next thing, kind of world. There are many advantages to marriage but also many risks, if I were to be suddenly single I may or may not get legally married again. Would have to vet a girl for years and even then it's no guarantee. I'd honestly say I got pretty luck…

As others have said, you have plenty of time young padawan. Just focus on yourself and get your own needs met and have some fun along the way. When the right girl comes along she may eventually prove herself worthy to join you on your own life journey and mission. Git 'er done boy!

Lol, you can be completely moral and have everything you want in life. Just set clear boundaries. You can be completely selfish and be moral as well. I call it sustainable selfishness. It basically means I will get all my own needs fulfilled and I will do it without taking from or hurting others. It has worked very well for me and there is no need to hurt others to get your needs fulfilled.

Your goal should be to get all your needs met in a sustainable way, without taking or hurting others. Once you get to this point you can truly give back on your own terms. Of course everyone is selfish, and that is ok as long as you are getting your needs met in sustainable ways. You can have win-win relationships, and that's all I look for these days.

Lol I was literally going to say this exactly. Got married before rp, marriage is great but wouldn't get married again

How old are you? I'm not trying to knock you down, just let you know my observations. You seem to think accomplishments = sex and kinda sound entitled about it. A covert contract kinda thing, I understand it can be frustrating to be really into personal development and not get the ladies attention and to feel resentful about it, but there is probably something you are missing if it isn't coming together. You gotta get over this height thing, it is only one factor out of many.

I have always struggled with anger, but I also feel it has helped me get to where I am in life. I have a strange way of getting things done by getting pissed off at the situation instead of the person. An example would be when I'm trying to get someone to do their job and I get them to understand how the situation is fucked up and what they need to do to fix it. I probably come across as an asshole, but a logical one so it's hard to argue against. A specific example is I had to have a new sewer …

My portfolio is around 90% real estate, the biggest risk being geographical, that is, the actual town losing a large employer or going downhill for some reason. Edit: it's freaking funny you mentioned options in a Roth. I gambled with them and made 49.5k in less than 2 months, then lost 42.5k in 10 days. Luckily ended up positive 7k but it devolved into a true gambling addiction and I had to stop completely.

This is why you absolutely must have a code and a mission. All your goals need to stem from your mission. It may even be worse to have "bad" goals that don't stem from your mission than no goals at all. Without a code and mission you will be lost in life like a plastic bag drifting in the wind.

You make a lot of good points and at one time, I would say I actually was neglecting her needs to an extent. I am better now at recognizing her states and the state of our marriage, but have come a long way in improving myself in all areas and it shows. I live in a low cost of living area and have managed to create our "comfortable" life though rental real estate slowly and steadily. She is a teacher so we have had to grind our way here. I do all the work myself and have one worker I pay and it …

I know if I didnt have my shit together she would lose interest and possibly leave. That's why I have setup my life the way it is and will keep controlling the aspects of my life I have control over. Could I become broke? Highly unlikely but possible and I would bounce back. Get cancer? Have some sort of mental breakdown? All possible but highly unlikely and I would deal with it if it came up. If it does I will report back how it was I who fucked things up and take full responsibility. It would …

I like this, and RP did make me realize I should get my physical game on point, which I am. I am working to eliminate any "critical failures" and remaining vigilant in my assessment of our marriage.

I can tell you have inadequacies/ insecurities in this area as it means nothing to me to compare myself against another. You will never be truly happy if you are constantly comparing yourself to others. Simply become the best version of yourself possible. I have pretty much mastered inner game and am now working on physical. Good luck man

Lol I am in the best shape of my life and I do notice women checking me out and friends that haven't seen me in awhile always comment on my physique. Like I mentioned before, I've never been a fat slob, but I've also never been ripped either and it hasn't affected me in terms of creating an amazing life with abundance in all areas. I truly believe if you aren't extremely out of shape or feeling like shit, fitness shouldn't be your main focus. Getting your mental shit together should be or even f…

Nice going on over 3 decades! You are correct in if I didn't have my shit together, it would fall apart rather quickly, which is why I browse RP stuff to help remind me to stay on my game.

Yes, even though it's lasted awhile I know I must always stay on top of my game. Time will tell for sure!

I believe I found one that is very compatible and I also am able to hold on as well. I know I am compatible with many women so I have to focus on what I control, which is myself and my actions. Glad to hear it's going well for you and hopefully many more can get to a good state as well!

I appreciate this comment because it reminds me to never get too comfortable and be keenly aware of the actual state of the marriage vs what I want to believe. Need to be objective in it all, so thanks

This makes a lot of sense and explains well why RP recommends lifting, even though you dont technically need it if you aren't completely out of shape. I guess I feel most guys could benefit more by reading and applying self-help books for an hour a day vs lifting an hour a day, but that is completely personal opinion.

Did your happy marriage end in "tragic" divorce?
/r/askMRP18/01/19 02:32 AM

Not that it really matters but I am Korean and my wife is white. I grew up in the US so have had to read a fuckton of books to get my mindset straight from societally-conditioned bs

Right, I fully realize the amount of power I gave up by getting legally married and what could happen with complacency or even things out of my control like postpartum etc. While I HOPE we never get divorced I am considering having to give up half my shit and how I would restructure my life worst case. I am very fortunate I found RP stuff at all which is now why I am focusing on my physical body among other things. I am very fortunate to have my financial game on point so I am able to spend more…

I'm not averse to it, which is why I am now, but just am somewhat confused as to why it is such a high priority around here if you are not morbidly obese. Getting your mindset together is vastly more important. Like 100 times more. I have always commanded respect in my life and love myself more than anything in the world, no matter the physical shape I am. People respect you when you have your shit together and dont really care what others think of you, because they have zero impact on your life…

I'm not even sure how I came across it tbh. Once I did though, RP always intrigued me because it does talk a lot about personal development, just in a different way I suppose. I have been wanting to open my marriage for quite sometime and that is the only thing "missing" from my life right now, variety. I get plenty of sex whenever I want from a very loving wife so I'm not at the point of making it come to an ultimatum. I know she would love me less if I did it this way so for now I'm just enjoy…

Haha thanks for that. I guess it's hard for me to relate from my ivory tower, and i forget what others go through. I believe all relationship problems are very easily solvable and that pretty much everyone around me has dysfunctional relationships and it is honestly quite confusing to me sometimes.

I have never been fat, more like skinny fat. 5' 7" 135 lbs 2 years ago now around 160

That's the whole point, I have never focused on my looks and have been able to be insanely confident and have a very happy life. Now I am bigger and noticing people checking me out and it's like big deal? To me our minds and our consciousness is way more important than physical body as long as you aren't morbidly obese. That first injury where you lose your gains where does your confidence go? I feel inner game is way more important but that does not seem to be the consensus around here.

Check out the book too good to leave, too bad to stay if you want to decide to be with or leave a partner. I ultimately decided to marry her (I know I know, this was way before I came across trp) but we have been happily married nearly 7 years together 11

Lol at the downvotes and people condoning theft. A true "alpha male" steals a $10 book because he can't afford it? Even if the book is shit, theft is theft.

I'm in my early 30's married 7 years, together 11 and feel I got extremely lucky finding a small town (literally 300 people in her hometown) girl in college who is feminine with good values. Very happy marriage and have a 2 year old boy and plan on teaching him how the world actually works. I would never get legally married in this day and age. You can pretty much do anything and everything a married couple can, but without the risk and losing half your stuff. I would likely setup my relationshi…

I am circumcised male in the US and decided on not circumsizing my boy. I figure if he REALLY wants to chop a piece of his dick off, he can choose to do so later in life on his own accord.

That's what's nice about being a different race than the wife, it's obviously a mix between us. Also tracking her period and times we had sex, I even know what day conception was. Still would be interested in getting the gene testing though.

I liked what you said until the end about the ends justifying the means. Sure you can, but at the end of the day you have to live with yourself. I personally choose to be my most authentic self. To get my needs fulfilled first in a sustainable way; which is not lying, cheating, stealing, etc. You can get all your needs fulfilled, every wildest dream imaginable and not be an unethical person. You can do whatever you want, obviously, but at the end of the day my needs are met and I can still look …

Everyday you wake up and are taught to play the game "who's right?" Instead you should wake up and play a game called "make life wonderful" (for yourself as well as others). Choose to be happy vs being right. You can't change anyone, they can only come to realizations themselves.

Look up the foreign earned income exclusion. If you live outside the US for 330 days you get to exclude a little over 100k

Why wouldn't you add her on fb? After a few messages on okc, you should be adding her as a friend so you are no longer that "guy on a dating site" you're her "friend". You should be doing a comfort bombardment before the first date, ideally ONE short 30-45 minute conversation where you make her laugh a lot. I do agree with not getting stuck in fb/email friend zone, but by doing this you will have a much greater chance of her not flaking on that first date. Also you need to have an interesting fb…
