Could we get some numbers? I am tired of reading "a lot". "A lot" is not a number. It's "I don't know, but it would fit my worldview if it were somewhat true". AI is not the problem we think it is. Oh, it's not a truth machine, but look at humans and how much misinformation they create with their vague "a lot"s. I've actually googled this question and difference or similarity appear to have an inconsistent relationship with relationship longevity. In other words, it doesn't really matter much ho…

It's a consequence of lower marriage rates. Before, only a small percentage of older women were dating. Now, more are open to non-serious relationships. As long as the woman is attractive to you and you don't have huge commitment plans, why not date someone a bit older? I don't know if it's a good deal for the women, though. Sure, a younger guy is fun stuff, but won't commit for life.

Since your analogy is war, and that's your operating logic, defeating a sexist opponent is also possible by cutting their logistics (exposing anti-male hate and whoever funds or supports it otherwise). You can also "surround" radfems by building a broad coalition against all types of sexism. You can also "precision bomb" their leaders by exposing and shaming their hate. What you're proposing is like deliberately going after the whole female civilian population, lmao. That actually doesn't work w…

Not liberal. Left-leaning, which is true for every young generation. That will be true up until 50-60 year old people in power will start being replaced by newer generations. The professors, the politicians, the industry leaders--most of the current elites defining culture were born in ~70's, and that's when left wing birth rates went more down compared to right wingers.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 10:38 PM

> You know siblings also adopt their siblings, aunts/uncles adopt their nieces/nephews, godparents adopt godchildren. Right? Yeah. Supporting your genetic relatives. Serves your selfish self-replication interest, just less so than making more of your own kids. Your mental gymnastics is framing the desire to procreate and educate your children to be good as narcissism. If you're so kind that you'd adopt children of others, arguably, you should have your children instead, to make more kind people.…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 10:33 PM

It's just stats. Mam, what's your politics and religious views? How many kids do you have? That's it, the right has started outbreeding the left decades ago.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 04:36 PM

Nice moral mental gymnastics. Adoptive parents are the most selfish because they only care to satisfy their parental desires. Nature denied them procreation, but they still want to spread their ideas and ways of life. I mean, you can twist reality and be a reductionist and condemn anything, lol. It's not hard, it's stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 04:36 PM

You know what, I agree. Liberal women don't owe society anything. Let them not breed. Let conservative or right wing or religious women have significantly more children on average for generations. After all, genetics aren't correlated with lifetime ideology, right? After all, right wingers won't be able to vote against your freedoms, right? Eh, let's be free today, fuck the next generations! That's my point. You don't "owe" it to anybody, but if you live in a free society and you love freedom, y…

Man vs. bear is as cringe as the "trad Asian wife" meme. Most people know it's ragebait for low IQ mouth breathers, but some people always take ragebait seriously and even defend it. Doesn't say much about society, really.

It's not "unflattering" to say that recently freed slaves weren't all that economically productive. It's true, it's a fact, but what's the point of saying it? There must be a point. And if you don't clarify your point, people are free to assume unflattering things about you, especially if you appear uneducated on the facts you bring up. If a woman just says that men are violent, nothing else, most people would raise and eyebrow and question her.

If you're in a group that doesn't allow you to say anything positive about men, confront it about their sexism or get out.

Oh, man, this gives me massive "so what that I said that blacks have a lower IQ on average? that's just a fact!" vibes, lmao You need to clarify you're not a woman hater by adding "but of course, oppression is why"? So, you mean that you need to contextualize your statements to not come off as a hateful person? Wow. But that's true about any statement on sensitive topics, lol. Each society has low class people and back then black people who got enslaved were captured mostly by other Africans and sold to Americans, if we're talking about that exact US slavery. So, they were not "black people", they were SOME black people brought in from another part of the world, you'd be stupid to make judgements about all black people based on them as a group. And you make a claim that it was "oppression" that gave women fewer rights. Continuing the previous line of thinking, the red…

If women weren't naturally submissive, they'd have had equal rights for all of human history. Wouldn't you agree? It's easy to make reductive "arguments" like that that ignore all context.

I think you're wrong. Men ARE providers naturally. But this isn't expressed equally in all environments. Remove civilization, will men be THE providers? Yes. Remove natural pressures, give us modern comforts, your brain doesn't feel the urgency to get your shit together in lots of circumstances. A trait can be suppressed by the environment. When was the last time men were definitely the providers? When there weren't modern social safety nets, that's when. I agree that women are not naturally sub…

I think it's more so the question of time's value. We all know that time goes one way. Each imperfect day is technically a waste, that's a way to look at it. But it would be stressful and depressing to focus on that too much. Young people who go with their heart are not stupid, they do what feels good.

This conundrum is why traditional gender roles exist. I am not someone who adheres to or glorifies them. But it's great to have a simple deal. There's a role that is like a job. There are requirements you are bound to fulfill. You have feelings for the person, but there are clear real responsibilities, and some flexibility of the little things. Instead of being lost in conversations on compatibility or finding the way for the two people, you just find ways to fulfill your part of the bargain and…

I don't think there's a single woman dating a significantly older man who doesn't have the brains to realize that he will get into the grandpa age way before her lol Why is this a conversation? I get why people discuss the ick of age gaps, it's not entirely clear why people get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 01:33 PM

I mean, sure, I’d agree that some men would go younger than 18 if they were legally allowed to. But you’re saying just “men”. You imply most men have pedo tendencies. I won’t talk to you anymore, it’s counterproductive to waste time on misandrists. You should address your hate or men before you radicalize.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 11:53 AM

Most people prefer to date people of about their age. Men are more honest in admitting that youth is objectively better looking. What’s there to say?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 11:48 AM

Wasn’t it men who women have been blaming for the patriarchy for many decades now? The same patriarchy that has monogamy as one of its pillars? And is old skin better than young skin? Does people’s health tend to improve or decline with age? It’s mad that women are upset at men’s honestly about preferences. It took us time for women to acknowledge that they also care about looks a lot after studies that showed revealed preferences vs. stated preferences. Women will come around to acknowledge tha…

The point about male violence is so dumb. Society also greatly benefits from this ability. Most of the male potential for effective violence is productive. It created civilization by shielding our species from nature’s dangers. Only a tiny percentage of men do unforgivable things, and who is generally more harsh on crime and enforces laws? It’s not men’s fault they’re stronger and more aggressive. Nature gave us sexual dimorphism and that’s how humanity has evolved to face external challenges. B…

This is a justification for misandry. Because you say belonging to a group justifies you being treated not as an individual, but a member tainted by your group’s worst aggregate tendencies. That’s how racists justify their hate of insert group.

lmao what? Americans are filthy rich. Even your poor are doing really well compared to the global average. Your poor do better than Europe's and you commit much more crime. Poor white Americans do less crime than poor black Americans, stop with that poverty groveling and prove that poverty plays a role.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 11:22 PM
1

No. First world doesn’t have that problem. Poor people can get basic needs met by getting a shitty job. Crime isn’t done because of lack of resources. And crime doesn’t pay as well as honest labor, even. You need to come up with a real theory, I’m just pointing out how crime and poverty don’t correlate well, at all. The 2008 financial crisis was followed by a drop in crime. Even with higher unemployment.

Bruh, I am not even a red piller, I am on the left politically, and come on now, women have definitely complained about cold approaches too much. But even then, I am not sure men don't want to approach anymore. To be honest, she looks average, and her face isn't welcoming. Why would any man gather courage to approach a bored mid?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 08:24 PM

That's a neat little narrative, until you realize that there is no sexual exclusion of men. Both men and women have less sex than before, for various reasons like the availability of cheap and endless, personalized entertainment. There is literally no decent non-disfigured man who acts like an adult and has social skills who can't get laid or get a wife, come on now.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/25 01:32 AM

Does that even happen? Shaming women for having standards? What I see from incels is they're blackpilled and dooming because they can't get anybody to like or love them. What I see from dudebro podcasts is making fun of chopped women who have standards way beyond what they can pull. Is anybody out there shaming a beautiful and smart woman for saying that she only goes for upper middle class and up guys?

It’s called a necessary evil. Russia’s genocidal war is met with severe resistance because of this burden. Ukrainian men have not wanted to change their legal obligations for decades of democratic rule. Is it unfair? The responsibility is technically unfair. But I bet that if there was a poll on the question, you’d discover that Ukrainian men are okay with this state of things.

They're desperate for the kind of relationships their fathers or grandfathers had, ones where women adored them just for existing, more than for anything else. And that's just unrealistic (talk about unrealistic standards). It's realistic when both of you fall in love and accept the other person for simply existing. I know, shocking. One of my ltr's had a "shit test" question for me. She asked why I loved her. At first, I started listing the objective and the obvious. But I finished with "just b…

Prejudice is a set of beliefs. One can have them without strong or any feelings at all. Hate is an emotion. Hate affects your behavior stronger.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/25 09:08 PM
6

Oh, I disagree. Hate is an emotion, it's strong and obvious. Those who hate men do know it. But those with prejudice against men create mental justifications for it and think they're just right and still morally good. It's like racists who use crime statistics to hate on minorities, or showing STD stats to hate gays. See, I am not a bigot, they're just evil and yucky! The pattern is similar and obvious to anybody who knows where to poke to expose it.

Women do not want financially stable men because they're "good husband material that can provide security needed for a family", they're insecure that they're too financially incompetent to make enough and not having to worry about money. It seems like it's just the perception cause men want to date more while women "retire" from the dating scene. 61 percent of single men said they were looking to date or find a relationship, while only 38 percent of single women said the same Do women even need to look for a date, since they're still the ones getting approached in most start of relationship scenarios? This poll result doesn't tell us much. Why do we hear so much about the loneliness epidemic and not so much about what women have…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/25 11:04 PM

Yea. You kept talking about promoting femininity after my critique of doing so as if I said nothing, aka you show sings that you didn't read. Again, the point is that femininity is seen as divine and pure, but it's only ever okay to promote masculinity if it's defined by feminism or women, aka what happens is femininity is seen as better, which tracks with the general pro-female bias of life.

Yes, and society agrees that rapists should face harsh sentencing. Men are generally tougher on crime and the ones enforcing the law and bringing order to the society. However, do most women agree to take life destroying false accusations seriously? I actually don't know, but I've seen enough leftist and feminist rhetoric saying "it almost doesn't happen, don't need to be concerned about it".
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 07:53 PM

Do you read what you are replying to? I am not talking about liberals or conservatives. It's like you just pick a sentence, think you get the point, copypaste a bunch of talking points to score a win, much like many manosphere debate dunkers.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 07:43 PM

It's true that women can care about men's issues, personally or on the group level. But I don't think you've got it right. Overall, they don't care--in the sense that we still see the same societal pattern as ever. An average man receives far less empathy than an average woman. Women have a big in-group bias, men have a slight bias in favor of women. So, society's general attitude towards men is "you are less deserving of empathy and your issues are less important". And what is the funding behin…

Depends on your values. If you're heterosexual and male and want to have a proper family, your chances of doing it are higher than a bisexual's, I'd argue, since a lot of women find bisexual men yucky. If your desired life is as many partners as possible, being fully gay is overpowered. Bisexuals win at what, being able to flirt with a boss regardless of their sex? Okay.

What are you saying this in response to? I am a left-leaning person and a liberal who believes that law should not discriminate against anybody gender wise. Woah there. I gave one example of how men also get pressured by people to fill a certain role. Just one. There are many. Or do you think that male mortality and suicide rates are much higher than women's because there's no pressure on men? Come on. But the thing is, when men complain, they are shit on. Women complain, they also get shit on, but there's also a good deal of people who listen and care. When a man (me) brings up one example of an experience, a woman (you, I assume) dumps a paragraph…

"I don't believe we should discriminate against women to get those numbers up. But the pressure to pair up and create decent families, on both men and women? I actually don't mind that if it works." This is what I wrote up there in my first post under the thread. Yes, pressuring only men will further degrade gender relations. Women already receive far more empathy than men, from both men and women. That's exactly why toxic manosphere and incel communities are successful. Because at least they do…

I don't know what world you live in. "A man any man" is a meme, a generalization created by lazy manhaters. Men have always experienced pressures to fit a certain role. It wasn't "any man" even when arranged marriages were the norm in Europe. Your family cared about him being a good worker and provider. It was quite literally never the case that you could get a woman for free just because you happened to exist as a guy.

Okay. Again, fine, let's go your way. No pressure on women. Only on men. Let's make men even more resentful about unaddressed issues they experience. Let's all die out and let religious conservatives win the numbers game and kill liberal values with their political power. Hopefully, you'll be too old to care. But I care about the future generations of people, women included, and I want them to live in free societies. Not absolutely free and without any pressures, though. Again, freedom has a pri…

Are you for real? You've never heard to mothers pestering their sons to find a good woman and settle down? If you're a woman, not surprising. Women know surprisingly (or unsurprisingly, to be honest) little of what it's like to be a man and what pressures you may face as one. Women's problems get much more public mainstream attention.

There was a new poll recently that found out that men who are more likely to go out and also date and have sex, who have more friends, are more sexist on average. This reminds me of the "no child left behind" policies in education. In attempt to combat high drop out rates, dropping out was made impossible in many places. As a result, literacy went down because there was no pressure to succeed. But if you look at countries that excel at education, parents have high expectations there. What I mean to say is, we as people can and should pressure each other towards a certain goal. It's not good or bad. We are social animals and we have the tool of social pres…

It happens like that because both men and women have pro-female bias. Women to a larger degree, but men are still "gender traitors" as a whole. Women receive more empathy in equal circumstances, as a rule.

Good high effort post. I'd add that feminists love to remove women's agency for their power narratives, ironically. When it fits the "men evil and bad, women innocent and good" lie, women become a purely reactionary force. They can't hate anybody because of deep bigotry--it's a response to men's evil! This reminds me of that Chicago movie song. It's very characteristic of the way women tend to lie. Every bad action, even a murder, is a pure reaction, he had it coming!

How do you even distinguish misogyny from treating a woman differently because she's a woman? Men and women are different and women treat men differently based on that all the time. Men are still the disposable gender doing most of the dangerous jobs, dying more frequently, living significantly fewer years on average because of societal oppression women help perpetuate.

That depends on the man. You can get ahead in life quickly if you go for a rich girl as a young man, because you could get help from her family. Plus, upper class women tend to be nicer in some ways. If you are oh-so-concerned about body count, it’s women from successful families who tend to seek normal healthy monogamous relationships.

Yeah, embracing genocide forced upon all people, with new repressions against Ukrainian language and culture, everybody pro-Ukrainian killed or put away, no freedom, would have been such a peachy choice! So wise of you. You see it better than Ukrainians.

Unironically this. If you're not worth a better job, you are at fault. There is barely any real poverty in first world nations. Getting marketable skills for decent living isn't hard, but encouraged.

That's not true. Women are less interested in dating, period. That has to do with their lower libidos and character traits. I've read somewhere that "lesbian bed death" is a homophobic trope, but evidence does support the idea that two women have the least amount of sex compared to mw and mm.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 10:32 PM

I mean, that would be a common sexual fantasy for both men and women, some people just vent their sexual frustrations and it's easy to tell.

Really, your immediate thought is a "kitchen slave" when you think of a bad relationship, not one where the spark has gone or where one of the people settled for something without thinking it through properly, with annoyances that manifested themselves only years later? I am all for discussing bad relationships, but the way some redditors present it is it's either a romantic novel or a sick bdsm fantasy of total domination.

The Homeownership Rate is the proportion of households that are owner-occupied. Next cope please. Your views on the economy don't meet reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/24 09:46 PM

That depends. Need for what? To live? No, an average woman can earn her money and be happy alone with a decent standard of living, with hobbies and friends. To have a fulfilling romantic life, a family, children? For most women, yes, they do need men for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/24 08:28 PM

This doesn't seem right. From my quick googling, home ownership rates haven't changed that much in the last 4 decades, if we're talking about under 35s. The more I look into data about the claims that "it was easier before", the less I believe it was better. And I don't know about the times before the 80's, but the 50's had a worse overall homeownership rate than today for sure. Assuming we're talking about America and nothing else, obviously.

A very aggressive take. Most people aren't "pilled". Many men have a slew of traditional masculine beliefs that are akin to the "red pill", they do fine. You focus on people who are most outspoken online, and it's natural that they are the ones with problems. What you're doing is like going to a feminist subreddit and then making a conclusion that all real life feminists do is seethe about males.

I see no need to make up a “box” to explain what’s going on. Men initiate more often. Women are more likely to go on dates with people they aren’t as into as a result. Women do have many sexual thoughts about men they find attractive even before talking to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 03:43 AM

Calling height preference superficial is wrong. Height matters. Look up studies that show the impression height gives to people. It’s positive. Height is mostly heritable. Preferring a taller man to settle down with ensures your kids will be more likely to succeed in life, other things being equal. And even if a taller man puts less effort into the relationship’s harmony, that can be for the better. Not every woman wants a pleaser.

Sex is sex. If you don't want to have sex, don't. It's not a trading card. We're not in Victorian times, both partners can enjoy having sex without anybody getting indebted for it. Both men and women who see sex as something to get or give are stupid.

I think this power imbalance argument is not rational, but doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Humans are social animals with hierarchies. Lots of time has passed, we think of us as liberal and enlightened, but having sex with an equivalent of the chief’s daughter or an aristocrat when you’re a commoner is perceived as something not ordinary and boundary breaking, for monkey brain reasons.

Having to agree on being exclusive. I have seen plenty of posts on reddit where people mention that, I am convinced it's a thing in real life, and it's just crazy to me. What, people are THAT uninterested in their potential dates? Okay, I can understand if it's just about going out and very, very early, before proper first dates even, if a guy got a number and texted me once and that's it, but people going out and kissing and having sex and still not being convinced???

This doesn't matter at all in the long run because these most open people who experiment with gender have lowest birthrates, they will naturally die out and be replaced by more naturally religious people. That's the truth of the world, religion dominates human societies because the non-religious don't want to have babies nearly as much. Now that we have more choices and people are free to be non-conformist this process is exacerbated, selection for super-breeder genes is at all time high, and th…

There are people who want to explore sex. You cannot box them in from knowing what sex can offer, we flow in oceans of information. If a woman breathes and is 18, she knows there are men with huge cocks, or men who can play with her orgasm for hours, or men who are very handsome, or men who are glad to serve her as slaves. Given that environment, lots of women want to work on more or less traditional relationships, except it's a choice out of many, a better committed, less forced choice nowadays…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/22 01:38 AM

Yes. People’s personalities are rooted in biology first and foremost, biology guides an organism as it adapts to the environment. A person’s nervous system has a significant effect on their responses to everything, for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:15 AM
1

Men are less neurotic for biological reasons, they are more open to certain risk raking because of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:08 AM
2

Women can learn to be riskier in business. But then again, biology is the foundation, men will be primary risk takers in some areas unless we evolve away from that. You dismiss biology again because people “can” be different, though that “can” is rooted in biology we don’t control.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:01 AM
2

Of course! Exactly right. We evolved to have an orgasm gap because people who had none or focused on pleasure and weren’t driven to penis in vagina as the standard generally died out.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 02:37 AM
2

But you think this is some kind of fake construction, and it's not. Sex is there for procreation, pleasure we get by exploiting sex is a byproduct of evolution. Of course penis in vagina is the main thing in heterosexual sex -- we are literally biologically wired to be extremely aroused by that act.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 01:41 AM
2

That's like ignoring young men's biology in relation to crime rates because young men can behave differently. True, but that is a view that dismisses a real factor that is at play in favor of a hypothetical perfect human who isn't influenced by anything but his judgement. You cannot just ignore what influences people's decisions and pretend that it's all somehow culturally informed and when culture is downstream from biology. Biology is more fundamental that what we express through it, that's wh…

why do lesbians orgasm as much as men do Because lesbian sex doesn't have the penis' burden of performance. Lesbian sex involves hands, mouths, toys. Those cannot cum too soon or too late. Those cannot fail at being aroused. When a man reaches orgasm, hormones are released to make him more sleepy.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 08:21 PM
6

The orgasm gap is unlikely to be biological, given that lesbians don’t experience it, instead it is more likely that straight men’s poor sexual performance, i.e. penetrating a woman rather than eating her out, and only focusing on his own pleasure, accounts for the gap. Generally, it’s easier for men to orgasm. Orgasming makes people lose interest in sex, physically, to varying degrees. Of course there is a biological factor at play.

I fundamentally disagree with the framing of fairness. It relies on the assumption of people as mostly blank slates. However, without good genetic potential for it you will never be an intelligent overachiever reaching the upper middle class, and you won't be a chick magnet. I think that more often than not age gap criticisms come from a superficial perspective on dating and marriage. And yeah, I guess some of them are genuine and have lived through being manipulated for years or something similar, want to pass on that experience as a warning. But that shouldn't be done with …

This assumption that women have to pick the best mate possible because of risk of pregnancy is nonsense. First world countries do not have the best people reproducing the most. On the contrary. The less wealthy and intelligent you are, the more babies. So, there is no such strategy.

That... depends on the quality of the woman herself and what kind of presence she has. There are women who are too "expensive" looking, so most men just don't bother approaching them irl and don't take as an option even if swipe right. If a woman seems "trashy", her inbox won't have diamonds.

You didn't end this debate, lol I will give men that it's weird if a fuckboy gets to have sex quicker. Why though? Because actions > words. So, fuckboy gets proof of being more sexually desirable. That doesn't mean that women are wrong in "testing" a guy for whether he's in just for sex by not rushing into it, but a man feeling like he's "lesser" isn't illogical or insecure or even necessarily wrong. I think this might be partially due to internalized misogyny, as some might call it. There's this myth that women "give something" by sleeping with a man, as if just men can genuinely want to have sex. That belief is sexist. Nobody owes anybody anything because both people decided to fuck. That doesn't dismiss feelings of a woman still being hurt by a breakoff after sex, but there's nothing but sympathy that can be a rational response. Women will never outearn men. For that to happen women would need to have far more highly intelligent people among them who'd be happy to become workaholics. Men outnumber women in the category of higher than normal IQs and men work longer hours because they want to. When women are given the highest degree of freedom, most of them don't rush in to become career driven boss girls. Higher class men will always have women to choose from. You're forgetting that sex is like tango. It takes two. Many women just don't say what they want. The question then is, if improvement wasn't properly requested, why so? That's is what I am talking about when mentioning lack of desire to become better.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 03:30 AM

Technically you are correct. But we are talking about emotional subjects. Technicalities mean little, people are not hyperrational. And I think great affections correlates quite well with the desire to become great for your partner in bed. It tells a lot if this, among other things, is neglected.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 01:20 AM
11

I think that's people misunderstanding what happens when, among other things, a partner gets told they aren't the best. This is the big indicator that the relationship is not good. That you're not the most important person, you are replaceable. That is what hurts. If you really desire and love, you would never tell anything like "oh, my ex was better at fucking haha". But if you do, getting told that crushes the illusions you had about your connection.

lol, not really. Modern dynamics are just a blip on our evolutionary history where women were much more equal in desirability to men than they are today. To think of it, families were GLAD to PAY future husbands for their daughters to get rid of them from their households or sent them away for servitude because women weren’t as capable of being productive as men and it was generally expensive to keep them for long without compensation.

That’s a very incomplete view of things. This potential for violence in men is what kept us alive throughout history. All species have variations of individuals, be it those who are more or less violent or intelligent. Violent criminals are typically stupid men with a heightened potential for violence. So, they are a part of the game, and what keeps them from going extinct ad of late is stupid women who have kids with them.
