Do you think the Republican Party doesn't treat people like 3rd class citizens?

I think that's a really good term.

It probably would be good to be better about calling out toxic behaviors of all kinds, but I'm not sure that gets to the crux of the these-traits-are-engrained-in-gender-roles-and-we-can-change-them-if-we-want aspect of the term.

I suppose there's an argument for that, although it personally doesn't offend me. What other term might sufficiently capture the point, without being so in-your-face?

I was using an example from this same thread where someone supposed that, so you can't deny it's a not a widely held belief (even if we can be unaware of it at times.)

That's a pretty valid point, and you're right, phrasing it like that does make it seem sexist. However, I think it might be a bit more subtle than that. I'd argue that it's maybe the crux of the issue is in the idea that "men are overt in their social dominance and women are more cunning (see example )". Maybe the reason we see women as gold diggers, or the reason they choose to do it, is rooted it that idea that women are supposed to be manipulative. It's engrained in the culture in such a way …

It's not denigrating a group of people, it's calling out toxic behavior. It's not saying, "You are a man and therefore toxic." It's saying, "These specific traits and behaviors, that are by and large considered masculine, are not great."

Would you not say that hazing is a toxic behavior?

I assume she was a self loathing female, my bad.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
