If I hired someone for maid services or otherwise, I'd probably call them an assistant if anything. Saying I hired a maid or driver kinda feels like I came from money or I'm showing how affluent I am (but I don't got money) But if the person in question doesn't mind or care about their title, it doesn't matter.
