I have an idea the weight is more a symptom of loneliness, and a result of eating her feelings. She was a nasty person before she was lonely and eating too much. If she wants to turn things around for herself, losing weight is not where she should start. Figuring out why she's so angry, jealous and petty is a better place to start.

I posted it just before bed. It was either this or the article about the parents that knowingly let a sex offender move in and sleep in the same bed as their daughter. He molested her repeatedly, the dad got six consecutive life sentences, while the mother only got 30 years. Yea, that's great and all, and we're on the same page. Invading privacy and broadcasting it makes one vulnerable to what you were saying. Thought the link was a given. Still, my standpoint holds. Forcing an issue that is about privacy (or the exploitation of someones information in such a nefarious way) into some sort of sexist battle, because it sounds more outrageous to mainstream folk.

For the invasion of his privacy (his username) in public (the internet), no, you're not alone. He was a seedy user, but not my place to judge. There are plenty of apparently female redditors out there that are karma whoring it up by posting porn, and general less than admirable (in my opinion) content. What makes this a MR issue for me, is that people are taking a battle about privacy and forcing it into a sexist mold.

As a veteran of a decade of service, and four deployments, I still see it this way. However, it's the legislature by protective men that bring this inequality about. I'd be interested to see the reactions to a bill introduced opening up the draft to both genders. It would probably go over about as well as mandatory military service... like Israel.
