I'm going to get shit for this but whatever. My husband and I have already discussed that if we found out our child would be retarded we would abort. We don't have the patience nor the means to take care of a special needs child. I can understand why she left if he wanted to be the caretaker and she didn't want to be a part of that. But at the end, I applaud the man. Good for him. *EDIT This really doesn't have to do with men's rights at all. Maybe a better post for /r/Parenting

I just kept it short and sweet. Most women will claim to have depression just to get attention. That in itself pulls attention away from the real problem. I have met men with depression that just never announced it to the world. They saw a therapist, took their meds, and went on with life. That said, I have met some attention whoring men as well.

From what I have seen, yes. Men just tend not to be attention whores about it. EDIT- Ok. Some people are completely misconstruing what it was that I meant. I never meant that seeking help is attention whoring. By all means you should. What I meant was, not everyone in the whole fucking world has to know about your depression. That's all.
