So women are just really bad at risk assessment? If there was a 95% chance that the women I dated were going to be predators I wouldn't bother. If I thought a random women on the trail was more likely to attack me than a grizzly bear I'd never go hiking. You'd get better odds gambling at a casino than trusting a man. The sexual coercion study included shit examples like "telling a date what they want to hear" or having a friend introduce you so they feel safer as examples of coercive behavior. Y…

Which would you choose between driving to work or encountering a bear in the woods?

The difference is an incel wouldn't pick a bear over a woman. If men in general are truly as dangerous as the internet would have you believe, then women still trying to date them is kind of like a gelfling dating a skeksis on the off chance that this one won't hurt you. If you truly believe 95% of men are sexually coercive it means you'd pretty much have to date 19 predators before you meet a dude who won't coerce you. Not necessarily a good match for you to date even, just a dude who won't coe…

Wife kneels down and takes her top off before tying her hair back. "Sorry honey I need you to verbally say what you want or physically make contact. I can't just assume based on context clues that you changed your mind or even ask you clarifying questions. Some needlessly obtuse assholes on Reddit say that makes me a predator. I hope I didn't kill the mood pointing that out, but you can't be too careful, nuance is dead."

You don't seem to know how to imagine a scenario where your guy friend is single for reasons that aren't his fault. Hypothetical always involves you hurting their feelings in your mind. Weird

I think it's funny that you dislike men so much the concept of doing a friend a favor suddenly becomes foreign to you. Like keeping an eye out for someone that might be a good fit is this Herculean task you'd never do for your girlfriends. Who'd wanna hang out with you anyway

Sex isn't on the table but they do consent to foreplay. They start to get really into it and it seems like they may have changed their mind. You ask if they want to have sex because you want to make sure they're consenting before assuming the boundary changed. You're not pestering, you're clarifying the nonverbal signals she's giving. "I see that you're slowly licking your lips and staring at me, honey. I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to verbally tell me what you want. You weren't interested ea…

/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 01:07 PM

Can't talk to her about it. That would be pestering her for sex. I didn't make the rules, some losers on Reddit did
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 12:38 PM
1

You're still not answering the question. So since asking a second time is apparently unethical regardless of context or circumstances, does that mean after asking didn't lead to sex the first time I should express no sexual desire for my partner whatsoever until she decides to initiate? So if weeks go by and she doesn't initiate, should I just kinda accept the relationship is over because asking about her boundaries after the last time was a no would automatically make me a predator?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 02:00 AM
1

You can. But if you can take actions that make her more interested in sex than doing nothing, why wouldn't someone who wants sex try? Are women so lacking in conviction they can't handle restating their boundaries if someone wants to know how they're feeling? Since when is communicating to clarify where people's boundaries are at a bad thing? When was the last time you had sex with someone you didn't want to because they asked you a second time?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 01:47 AM
1

You didn't answer the question of the time threshold when it's okay to ask again. Cuz it's kinda starting to sound like you have issue with expressing sexual desire in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 01:33 AM
1

Because women are less likely to initiate and even sometimes interpret you not initiating as an implication that you're not interested. My friends can tell me if they're hungry but they might not want to go get dinner until I make the suggestion. But if asking more than once is wrong my next question is how long do you have to wait between questions before it becomes acceptable to proposition again? A day? A week? Just never express sexual interest unless she approaches you first? Cuz I'll be ho…

Situations where everything leading up to sex is still on the table and sex might still happen if the foreplay ends up genuinely changing her mind. This is a super common scenario and most women who end up consenting don't feel like they were coerced in hindsight. Leave them alone is good advice with women you just met. If your sex life is declining in a ltr then doing nothing in response is a great way to make everything worse. If a woman doesn't want to have sex and a dude chooses to clean the…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 12:39 AM

But if someone consents to touching and kissing but not sex, they're the ones sending mixed signals, not guys. Being open to foreplay doesn't mean that you consent to sex but it does mean you can't villainize guys for hoping you'll get turned on enough to change your mind. Persuasion=/=coercion This gray area is especially frustrating because a lot of the times guys are told the reason she's not in the mood is because they haven't been putting in enough effort to excite her. But trying to turn o…

So men should never initiate? How much time must pass after the first time you asked before asking again stops being correction?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 10:34 PM
2

I'll bite. "I know you want it" just sounds like dirty talk. It's only coercive if you assume she's already made it clear she's not interested and keeps pushing anyway. Misjudging how interested someone is isn't necessarily coercion. Repeatedly asking for sex is potentially coercion but I'm betting most guys who answered yes were just really hoping her mood changed since they last asked, not trying to wear her down. "Kept touching and kissing her" is also more of gray area than the black and whi…

Who doesn't listen to women? This subreddit? Men in general? Two seconds ago you were saying you're not a man hater but now you're just kinda stereotyping them. It's kind of bonkers for you to understand that I'm tolerant enough to recognize that you've always been a woman yet also intolerant enough to not listen to you because you're a woman. Maybe just maybe people disagreeing with you isn't an attack on you're identity, they just don't think you're right.

Not listening to women's dating advice =\= not listening to women Are you a misandrist because you don't listen to men when they say not listening to women isn't the reason they're single?

If you've always been a woman your previous insult has no impact. Why would I care that a lesbian is better at dating lesbians? I never said anything about what women want. I pointed out that women always point fingers and demean men if listening to what women say about dating doesn't seem to work out for them. You proved my claim beautifully. Just as you say, women think some "lack of skills" deserves shame. Struggling with dating is shameful because women make it so, not the patriarchy. I'm fi…

The standard for social awareness has shifted as third spaces have shrunk and social interaction has migrated to phones. You go to a club now and groups of women dance in tight circles facing each other because they're really not interested in meeting new friends there. There's very few places now where it's socially acceptable to approach a woman you don't know, so some guys just say fuck it and try their luck even if it ends up bothering someone else at the grocery store. Not justifying that b…

Women are surrounded by friends who say they want to date a certain kind of man but always date someone different, yet somehow each individual woman thinks they're the exception when it's time for self reflection. No man starts out wanting to be a red piller. They tried to listen to women's and it didn't work. People are judged by actions, not words. You want to learn how to hunt gazelle you talk to successful hunters, not the gazelle

This is always the go-to response when women give bad dating advice. You weren't actually listening. You must have been pushing boundaries. You must have a bad dating profile. You must not be taking care of your body. You must need more therapy. Women can't possibly be wrong about this. Surely there must be some explanation that proves the source of the problem is you. You want to know the real reason red pill culture exists? It's not because of the loneliness epidemic. It's because women have z…

Weaponizing it against you in an argument or as a quick way to belittle you when they're feeling out of control in a fight. Or telling their friends your confidential shit for the sake of gossip. I was with a girl for seven years. Confided everything in her and never regretted it When she left me for my best friend she didn't take accountability for the cheating, it was easier to villainize me and pretend she was leaving me for minor behavioral infractions from the previous two weeks. Perhaps women need to stop asking men to open up when they don't actually want to hear it and just want men to go to therapy so they don't have to be the emotional support they pretend to be. Men aren't the ones demanding other men open up emotionally. You're the ones acting like you're more empathetic than the opposite sex and then weaponizing that vulnerability against the men who trusted you when it turns out you're not. Men aren't born with the belief that you shouldn't confide in women. It'…

You actually view going on a date with someone in general as lowering your own value unless you can monetarily gain from it? Do you realize how many layers of crazy that is? You think simply spending time with a man inherently costs women something. You can't blame media for pressuring women to marry when chick flicks specifically cater to female gaze. Hallmark movies aren't unrealistic because men want it to be like that. It's not that slim a margin. The whole reason for the male loneliness epidemic is that men would rather oppress half the population than be alone and women would rather die alone than feel like they settled. Women care more about money/status in partner selection and that's just statistical fact. They're not all gold digg…

I legit don't know what's so inconvenient about it. Either way you're having to have the waiter bring two checks. I can't see how paying for your own meal is a pain the ass unless you were already planning on ordering the more expensive meal and shaving off a couple dollars.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 08:18 PM

Why would anyone want to go out with someone who already views dating them as so risky it warrants seeking an immediate return on investment? Men already risk their effort and self esteem by being the chasers, and if the fear of being a victim is the main thing you're worried about, it's not like getting a meal comped actually mitigates that danger in anyway, you're simply demanding compensation for assuming the risk. So basically you're saying men owe women a dinner because she's already doing …

Romance media exists mainly to appeal to women, so bad example. Women statistically report feeling more comfortable being alone in their thirties than men do, so evidently the pressure to get married isn't that strong. And pointing out that men are more likely to be put in leadership positions than women in the context of evidence for ways society helps them find a partner only emphasizes the pressure men are under to become successful just to find love. Men aren't as discriminatory about dating…

Yeah if a woman is so money driven she doesn't want to pay for her own meal unless you split the total, that would be a bad match for anyone.

It's more complicated than that and I think most of it is about technology rather than culture shifting on women. Things have been getting better for women for a long time but the "male loneliness epidemic" is new and suspiciously showed up right after social media. The rise of phones has made it more common than ever to get your social interaction through a screen. Combine that with runaway capitalism and third spaces are rapidly disappearing. So theoretically there should be plenty of single w…

/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 10:19 AM

No, the issue is that problems that only apply to men garner no sympathy from anyone and even when there's valid reasons, society easily dismisses them as self inflicted problems that wouldn't exist if not for user error. For example, you inherently feel justified in assuming being sexless is the only reason men would have a contrary opinion to you on this thread and any other things negatively affecting men can squarely be blamed on patriarchy men created. I didn't vote for Trump, and 46% of wo…

It's a comment I stand by. It's basic psychology that inconsistent affection fosters more attachment than consistency, especially if your upbringing had it. Doesn't matter if you're a man a woman or a puppy. If that fact makes you feel attacked that's a you issue
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 02:58 AM

What a comment to single out as woman hate. I shared an anecdotal example of something, specifically mentioning that it's not intended to generalize, and finished with the gender neutral conclusion that people with a bad up bringing often pick bad partners. If that comment is evidence of militant sexism you are actually as insane as your online presence makes you sound.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 02:53 AM
1

That's a lot of projection in one comment
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 02:45 AM

Gotcha. Like how a large portion of society has divorced themselves from the term feminism because a small group of people online made it synonymous with militant man haters. Makes sense

/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 10:03 PM

The default position I keep seeing is that men are dominant in society so therefore every problem society puts on men is essentially self inflicted, which somehow morally justifies having zero sympathy for men. Go check out an aita thread where a married dude gets left. The assumption is always what did you do to lose her? Men already get no emotional support or sympathy, OP is simply suggesting making it mutual.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 10:01 PM
2

But if you apply the inverse logic, you wouldn't feel like an asshole because you don't care that much that quality of life for the average man is decreasing. You keep framing absence of sympathy and emotional support as an extremist punishment but that's just the default experience for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 09:52 PM
1

The logic isn't. You wont sleep with me = I don't care about your problems. The logic is: You never have sympathy or understanding for my problems = why should I care about your problems? When women face issues it's a tragedy society put on them. When men do, it's always framed as self inflicted user error. You're guilty of it too. Your other comment essentially implies "If men actually cared about resolving their problems they would fix homelessness first. Apparently, in women's mind, it's sole…

Being put in a leadership position makes it more likely for men to find a "mate"? Tell that to every woman here who takes issue with the implication that women care about money more than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 09:31 PM
1

So society labels someone an incel because they're not successful at dating, and that also automatically brands them a woman hater because brittanica associates the label with trolls online? And even though he'll still have the reputation for being a woman hater regardless of his actions, he should stand up against sexism online? Bonkers
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 01:24 PM
1

But someone can still identify as an incel without actually being a woman hater. You say if that guy has a problem being called a woman hater he should try to rebrand the label by standing up for women. But that logic doesn't hold up because you've already established that his individual actions are irrelevant and how you perceive the group as a whole will ultimately be what dictates your jusgement toward him
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:28 AM
1

But if someone has been categorically rejected by women to the point that they're passed trying, and you're going to treat them as though they're a woman hater simply because they're involuntarily celibate, what's their incentive to stand up for women online like you want? You've signaled to incels that your opinion of them isn't based on their individual actions. You want them to put in an effort for you while reserving the right to despise them from the get go based on generalizations. There's…

Not to generalize women, but the gal friends of mine who are most obsessed with someone, it's always a dude who they admit is a total asshole. People are actually very willing to overlook a bad personality with someone they're attracted to, especially if being rejected by them only fosters a desire to earn their approval. Inconsistent affection is incredibly addicting to people who didn't have reliable support growing up.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 10:59 PM

See the finger always gets pointed at patriarchy as if it's men inflicting this upon themselves but in romantic relationships specifically it's women perpetuating this trend My guy friends aren't the ones demanding I open up and then making me regret it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 04:27 AM
2

Men aren't born with the belief that they shouldn't be emotionally vulnerable with their partner. I'd wager nearly every jaded man who chooses to hide their emotions from women is someone who once tried to be open, but learned to regret it when the vulnerabilities they confided got weaponized against them later on. I never understood the trend until I experienced it first hand. Men will stop guarding their feelings when society stops punishing them for having them.

Dovetailing this, it's frustrating how often women will encourage men to open up about what they're feeling but will punish them for doing so if what he's feeling makes her uncomfortable. If what you're upset about isn't something she also views as a big deal, your fear and sorrow gives her the ick instead. I don't really see these claims much anymore unless it's in extremist red pill culture. The criticism I'm seeing most often now for sexually active women is that they have poor taste in the men they pick, because the guys that are attractive enough to have lots of success on dating apps have enough options to not worry about settling down. Online dating makes it easy for women to hook up with someone out of their league, but not get one to settle for them long term. Whereas men's experience is u…

I finally found a practical answer to my question and edited my OP to admit I was wrong. Coulda been you to make me eat my words, but nope Maybe I should ask Google AI first next time instead of women on reddit who are more interested in attacking men than having an earnest conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 06:26 AM

In the scenario you're describing you've already communicated a clear rejection, it's on them if they can't handle it after that. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm saying women shouldn't ghost men who are harassing them. They should But to me, ghosting is most effective and preventing verbal attacks and male toxicity, not violence. But when a dude on social media complains about getting ghosted, somehow SA always gets brought up in the comments as if women who don't ghost are somehow leaving them…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 05:43 AM

" most male violence isn't due to "ghosting," it happens due to direct refusal" I'm just gonna brush over how this comment implies a cause and effect relationship to a woman's action and whether she'll be attacked😬😬 But is this assertion backed by any statistics? Or are you just stating it as truth and citing the existence of a subreddit dedicated to showcasing that specific content as if that somehow tells us whether men react better when you ghost them? You want to post clown emojis and call m…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 05:34 AM

Ditto. You've written half a dozen comments just to avoid answering the question. But hey, jannying is a word I'd never heard before, so at least I managed to actually learn one thing from you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 05:08 AM
2

If that dude already has your personal information and it turns out he's really upset you blocked him, how does ghosting prevent him from getting violent or weird in a way that rejection didn't? Is getting a no from a woman so much more traumatic for a guy than losing all contact with her without warning, that we can reliably use it as a metric for guessing which response is more likely to lead to violence?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 05:04 AM
2

Okay but how does blocking someone on social media without explanation instead of sending a text that you're not interested in prevent the above scenario from happening?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 04:49 AM

So contentious and disingenuous you didn't even realize you were replying to someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 04:47 AM
1

Do you know what I should look up to find this data? I'm not doubting it's existence but I haven't seen anyone back up the statistics with numbers so I'd like to be able to in future conversations. And I can only speak for myself but getting ghosted always felt lamer than getting a rejection. The uncertainty of whether you were the problem or something unrelated to you ends up making you second guess every interaction you had wondering where you might have done something wrong.

If a person's answers have some measurable data or logic that someone unfamiliar with the subject can follow and understand how that supports the claim, then that's not taking answers at face value. You wouldn't have to assume it's true because a bunch of people on Instagram say it is, the truth would be evident. It's called building a persuasive argument and a lot of us started learning it elementary school. If your opinions can't hold up to scrutiny you should be questioning why you have them.…

I feel like it's common for men to also have horrible crazy reactions to ghosting before they get completely blocked. The risk of him reacting in a mean way is still present in both scenarios. So is the logic that it's better to give them nothing to react to than have the rejection potentially serve as ammunition? Or that it's better to cut off any way for them to communicate with you than have to end up reading the hurtful shit they say if they start crashing out? And at least that way you don'…

I agree with your assessment of what ghosting is. I have seen people double down an insist they'd still rather ghost than do the basic rejection text, but idk if that's what the majority of people who talk about it on insta believe. Probably not

I was never given real answers in the previous thread. And you're not answering the question now, you're just shaming me for not accepting the claim at face value. If you simply accepted everything men on social media asserted without evidence, then you'd end up a red pilled woman hater convinced that all women are dishonest manipulators. A claim isn't true just because a lot of people online say it is. This is what I'm talking about. All I asked for is some supporting data or logic to back up t…

This is a good point. Context matters and having one conversation online with someone doesn't make them entitled to an explanation when you lose interest. People seem to have varying definitions for what counts as ghosting. This subject is difficult to have a productive conversation about because men complaining about rejection often ends up being interpreted as though they're equating the risk of getting their feelings hurt to what women risk when dating. Which I hope is not how I'm coming acro…

To clarify, I don't think communicating rejection with someone means you have to do it in person. There's other options available besides suddenly blocking them and putting yourself in a dangerous environment. And in your example where someone gets a 5th no and argues it, ghosting is totally justified there. You tried to communicate the rejection and they wouldn't respect it. Hell, ghosting after the first no is completely justified. Women don't owe anyone continued interaction just out of polit…

I have not made up my mind on this. I've drawn some precursory conclusions based on the evidence and logic available to me, but I'm genuinely begging to hear counter claims. In another thread where this topic came up it just devolved into ad hominem attacks or telling me that it wasn't their job to educate me. I do not relish being called predator, if my take is dead wrong that's okay, I'll correct my opinions accordingly, I just haven't had anybody actually walk me through why.

"I didn't assume that's the only thing OP wants. I made an extremely informed comment based on OP's vagueness" No you're stereotyping. What you're describing is having confidence in prejudiced assumptions. Like assuming a girl in a Metallica t shirt is just a poser because statistically the people listening to their music are men. I honestly didn't read the rest of your comment because it always ends up with you doubling down and digging a deeper hole. Fuck off, sexist.

"I have no issue supporting men in their issues, so long as those issues don’t include women changing their dating preferences to appease male loneliness. That is the entire premise of my comment." I know. The point of my comment is that you outed yourself as someone with no compassion for men by immediately assuming that's the only thing someone who feels unsupported by women really wants. You insist OP is wrong in general and that you're a male ally while simultaneously invalidating his perspe…

If OP couldn't name a single specific issue all you had to do to disprove his theory was muster up even a little bit of compassion. Instead you've dismissed his concerns as the baseless complaining of a lonely man and tried to make an enemy out of everyone who pointed out how combative you're being, including me. I won't pretend this behavior is as usual because I don't think you represent feminists as a whole. A real feminist wouldn't be so threatened by the mere discussion of male centered pro…

You pigeonholed the conversation into being about progressive vs conservative policy as a way to insist that feminists show sympathy to male problems by supporting progressive policy in general. Which is not what the discussion was about. I can see why op didn't bother engaging with you. You were never arguing from a place of good faith from the get go.

Your solution to the male loneliness epidemic is to accept being alone and find contentment in that? And you're surprised they don't listen to feminist's advice? This is kinda what OP is talking about. At some point the advice becomes so dismissive and tone def it reaches the point where it comes across as lacking sympathy.

"this idea that it's up to women to change their dating preferences so less men are lonely." You implied it. Nobody brought it up but you.

Not giving a specific example doesn't give you the right to fill in the blanks with stereotypes

I think you just inadvertently proved his point by assuming that because he wants to address lack of concern for male centered issues, that means he's really just frustrated that he's lonely and simply taking it out on women. He points out a measurable lack of sympathy towards men and instead of disproving his claim with sympathy, you built a strawman to villainize. It's like women have become so accustomed to the role of victim that pointing out that you also have problems and no one cares some…
