I’m not sure we both read the same article. The article is about how in India it is extremely common, due to culture or society or whatever, for women to stay home and only the men to work. Therefore the men are more often being exposed to and dying of Covid. This leaves behind women and children who are unable to work - many cannot read and have no work experience.
