I was at a small festival and was listening to a great band, and really enjoying the music. This attractive women "accidentally" stood on my foot and naturally we started talking and hit it off. I was drunk-ish (but still in control) and after a few minutes of chatting I causally said "We should fuck sometime" - she smiled and we exchanged numbers and she became a fantastic FWB for the next few months. Confidence, and the ability to not give a fuck goes a long way!

That's a good question. I tend not to cold approach during the daytime as you are more likely to encounter people who have English as a second language at supermarkets, etc, and their understanding can vary - it's a lottery depending on which country in Europe you are in, so it can be difficult. It's not as bad at night with cold approaching at bars though - especially if you are in an area with lots of tourists. If you are a foreigner, simply saying something like "Hi, how is your evening going…

I'm in my early 50's and that's exactly what I do when I travel. Just be honest and upfront about how long you are there for - you will be surprised how many women will still want to spend time with you. Not being from Europe makes you unique as well - use that to your advantage!

Some time ago (maybe late last year), Tinder changed things so that it now shows you are using Passport Mode in your profile (like Bumble does). Like you OP, I noticed a massive drop in likes/matches after this change when I was traveling and trying to set things up ahead of time. Hinge is probably your best option now.

Yes it's a massive pain now. Hinge is a better option for setting things up in advance.

I used to do what you are describing with Tinder and line up dates ahead of time in the next city, however, Tinder now shows that you are using passport mode and as a result, my like/match rate has plummeted. Women seem to only want to engage if you are currently in their city.

I agree, that sounds extremely high

I was in Stockholm a few weeks ago and had little success on the dating apps, but good success IRL. Apparently if your profile is in English then the majority of women there will swipe left straight away - at least that's what I was told. It was easy to engage with Swedish women in bars. DM me if you'd like any suggestions on places to try in Stockholm.

Don't try and get her back - it won't happen. Don't stay in the friend zone either - go no-contact and focus your time and energy on other women. Use this as a learning experience.

If you don't ask, the answer is always no.

Forget this, just move on if she doesn't reply to your first message. There are plenty more fish in the sea!

I would break the date into several parts/activities. Go for a walk in the park first - not too long though (maybe 20-30 minutes) as it's not ideal for breaking the touch barrier. Next, find somewhere for a coffee or ice cream - make sure its a place where you can sit down to chat. Scope out places in advance so you won't have to worry about figuring it out on the date. When you do sit down for the coffee or ice cream, sit to the side of her at 90 degrees and not opposite. It makes it a lot easi…

Don't try and overthink it. Unfortunately some people are just rude and don't have the guts to be straight up. She's clearly not a great communicator, so you dodged a bullet!

Was in your shoes a few years back and highly recommend these... Models - Mark Manson She Comes First - Ian Kerner Can't Hurt Me - David Goggins

Beautiful women are used to been told that they are beautiful, so if you want to stand out from other guys then compliment her on something else besides her looks. Maybe compliment her fashion sense or say that you think she's got a great sense of humour, etc. For me, like to compliment them on their earrings or something else they are wearing that is unique and ask them where they got it from and if there is a story behind how they got it. This builds a deeper connection especially if there is …

So don't ask standard interview type of questions then! Think of questions that are wacky/funny/off beat! It's not unsettling at all for her if you are charming and funny. After 20 or 30 minutes if you think there is a good vibe then ask if she wants to join you for a walk in the park, etc - if she agrees then you know she's into you and getting a second date should be a formality.

This is 100% correct. Women want to feel safe. A coffee and then a walk is cheap and low time/effort. If you connect and message a fair bit after that then invite her over to your place and offer to cook her dinner.

Why did you show her your hotel room at the start? A lot of women would find that creepy or a red flag. Surely meeting at the bar in your hotel would show her that you are staying in a nice place? Or did she specifically ask to see your room?

Perfect! Always a coffee first or meet at a quiet bar for a drink. Makes it a lot easier to bail if you aren't feeling it!

No, never a movie! You can't get to know someone by watching a movie.

Thank you! Looks like Scottsdale is a must. Any suggestions for bars in San Diego that have live music that caters more to of an older crowd?

Excellent post! 👍 I have two comments... For point 2 - like you suggested, if you ask for feedback the women won't be 100% truthful so there is really no point in asking. Instead, I'd suggest reflecting on yourself and learning from that. For example, did you talk too much about your ex? Was the location or time of day not the best for a first date? Points 4 and 5 are also spot on. I'd also recommend getting to the location 10 minutes early which gives you time to find a good spot. Message her 5…

OK, so you have been put in the friend zone. You won't be able to change her mind, so be chill. You have two choices: 1) Either continue to hang out with her and give her security and validation while she's looking for someone else, or 2) you can focus your time and energy on other women.

I'd be inclined to wait until mid-afternoon to message her. If she cancels then go out anyway and practice approaching women. Also, you shouldn't be buying all the drinks!

That's a good plan. 2-3 days is plenty so don't wait any longer. Just be patient for a response - send one message and wait. Don't send a follow up if she doesn't answer as they will come across as needy. Send the text and talk to other girls in the meantime.

The only way to know for sure is to ask her out. Don't be afraid of rejection either as at least you'll know for sure which is way better than forever wondering.

She went back to her ex and you got hurt when that happened - what makes you think that she will be into you now? I dare say she's using you for security and validation while she is looking for Mr. Perfect. Dont fall into that trap. Don't comment on her Insta - you should unfollow her and focus on other women as this one will burn you again.

Ask her out for a date - just the two of you. Please don't do the coworkers barbecue thing! Be assertive and ask her out for a drink after work (don't do coffee or lunch).

Agreed, do both. Learning to approach women and being able to handle rejection takes time.

She's made her position clear and so have you. Move on and focus your time and energy on other women.
