It wasn't, and I mean this genuinely, an attack on TRP. I frequent TRP almost everyday. I love the community and derive a huge amount of knowledge from it. I was truly just tired of how much cynicism I see on the sub and was only trying to add value. I'm surprised and dissapointed that what I was trying to say was so misconstrued..

I encourage that, because I don't believe a mod will agree with you. Especially because I'm not at all saying what you are insinuating.

I have to say, you make some really, really good points in your argument. I still stand by the majority of my post when it comes to matters of the self and obviously I don't believe all women are crazy and inheritently bad. That being said, your argument, in regards to how you should approach women, is spot on. No matter how one may feel, it is vital you never let your guard down, because when it comes to volatile humans, you can truly never be certain.

I can actually agree with this on most levels. You're absolutely correct in saying that the law is unfairly swayed towards the womens benefit, and women unfortunately DO take advantage of this. And in regards to Western society, many women are so over saturated with attention via social media that their egos become inflated. However, that doesn't mean we should stoop to the same level, as not all women are that mentally unstable. Maybe that does give us a fewer number of options when it comes to…

Absolutely. Anything in excess is bad, no matter what it is. The key is always balance and re-evaluation as to not grow stagnant. I also agree with you in finding a middle ground. Not all men are just trying to bang sluts. I myself prefer genuine connection and find value in the womens thoughts and feelings, but thats because I do my best to surround myself with people who are like that. Does that make me weak and ridiculously blue pill? Of course not, I know what I won't tolerate and I know whe…

It's saying you should accept and embrace your vulnerability. Pain and heartbreak are just as important to a fulfilled life as joy and love are. If we only knew happiness, we wouldn't even know we were experiencing it because we'd have nothing to compare it to. Not only that, but nothing tends to be a greater teacher than discomfort and hurt. Just because these emotions are not fun and don't feel good does not mean they lack value.

You're welcome! And I understand the bitterness felt by some, I've been there myself. But it's a shame to let yourself be consumed by it.

This is exactly the point I'm trying to make here. Our egos tend to get in the way here and there's this air of superiority that just doesn't sit right with me. Just as extreme feminism is toxic, so is extreme misogyny. Men need to be strong, we need to be self sufficient, confident, and suave. But that doesn't mean we should be bad people.

I'm a huge advocate of stoicism myself. But the key to stoicism in regards to being a rock is to be immovable to the storm around you. It can rage and rage and rage and you will not move, you will not be effected. My advice in saying be like water is not to say "don't be stoic". Rather, it is to say "be adaptable". Be able to observe and determine your behavior in relation to the situations you find yourself in as they arise.

Thank you for being respectful. And I agree with you, to an extent, but I definitely think anything having to do with relationships is situational. Don't get me wrong, we shouldn't be blind to generalizations. Evolutionary psychology is absolutely a real thing, you can't undo hundreds of thousands of years of development in regards to what is considered attractive and what is not. Attraction, as they say, is not a choice. That being said, the level of bitterness around here bums me out. A lot of…

Thank you, and again, this isn't me trying to come to the rescue and say "all women are special and should be treated as such" because they're not and I don't believe that. You need to judge for yourself what you consider acceptable or unacceptable in regards to the relationships you build. But I think it's just as detrimental to be too cynical as it is to be too naive.

Actually I'm a male haha, and thats not at all what I'm saying here. I'm not implying you let any women walk all over you. If she's disrespectful to you, or if she's low quality/doesn't meet your standards than you shouldn't associate yourself with her, she isn't worth your time. But that's in regards to everybody, not just women. What I am implying is that you shouldn't let your anger or your bitterness skew your perspective, just as you shouldn't let yourself see through rose colored glasses. …

It may sound cold, but dont deal with them. You do need to provide value to those around you in order to recieve value, but you arent required to give value to anyone. If you truly feel that your "friend" is not giving any value to you, then that doesnt really sound like a friend at all. The people you surround yourself with, like it or not, will become a part of who you are. They will either build you up or drag you down, and you ultimately have to be the one to decide what types of people yoy …
