I’m not from the UK, but is it really common for men in their 30s to go on vacation together? That’s my main sticking point with this post. I literally don’t know any men older than college age that would ever go on holiday together (with the exception of maybe a bachelor party, but that is a pretty specific thing and even then I haven’t been seeing many people going on destination bachelor parties lately). I think the average 30+ man drifts away from his friend group and probably only has a han…

TIL that I’m below average because I don’t go on vacations with my bros and post pics on social media. Just seems like a strange bar but I get that some women put a lot of stock in outward appearances. Personally I don’t have time to for most of that stuff, and I would strongly prefer going on vacation solo over “partying in Ibiza with the boys.”

I didn’t mean would you date someone just for their paycheck, I meant would you date someone who just works to make a living but isn’t particularly passionate about it. My wording was confusing. Gotcha. Good to know it isn’t a dealbreaker. There is definitely a huge difference in being satisfied with your career albeit not particularly passionate vs. being completely miserable.

This seems to be a common theme here, but would you care to expand on why being passionate about your career is so important? Would you not be open to dating someone educated with a high paying job who just shows up for a paycheck? I guess I’m curious because I have a pretty good job on paper (government attorney), and while I want to do a good job, the day to day is just so mundane that I couldn’t imagine being “passionate” about it.

If living with three other guys or living out of a van is an option for you then great, have at it. For me, it’s just not anything I’m interested in at this point in my life, so my options are basically either living alone or living with an SO. I’m sure a lot of other people who have the means to live alone are in the same boat. So yes, whether marriage is a good economic arrangement very much depends on the individuals involved.

I dated a guy for like 2 weeks who ended up being a republican lmao, immediately dumped I want to understand this more because it honestly perplexes me. Does being in one of two over-simplified political camps correlate to being a good person or a good partner to you? I mean sure the guy could’ve been a fringe right-wing militia member but it doesn’t sound like it since you said yourself the word “republican” was the reason you broke it off. I’m a registered Democrat but that label means so litt…

Great for you, seriously. But attractive women make compromises on this front all the time, I think many women dig RP Chad despite the fact that he’s slept with 100 girls, not because of it.

Fair enough, but I don’t view the red pill mission as helping men procure short term sex exclusively. I think it’s supposed to help men with their relationships with women generally, the specifics of what is being sought is up to the man. That gets back to my original point of this not being an either/or thing, we’re not talking about an organized school of thought here. Good luck finding a desirable man who is against short term sex though—thats almost like the guy on here the other day asking …

But the whole point is that RPers aren’t necessarily going to be “acting RP” with you in the manner you’re imagining, hell I don’t even know what acting RP means to you.

I think you might be underestimating socially savvy men a bit, or perhaps you’re overly confident in your ability to read them. The thing is it’s not an either/or, black and white thing like this sub always makes it out to be. I think red pill has some good advice for men who are struggling, some of which I have successfully employed in my own sex/dating life (of course there is some garbage to the RP message as well as some stuff that is just capable of being taken too far). However, I really d…

What a dumb argument to make. I’ll never understand what makes people, usually women it seems, feel the need to advocate on behalf of everyone of their gender, it’s pretty analogous to a white person pointing to black crime rates and saying “whites are better people, look at the evidence.” You obviously need to take other variables into account in determining what makes someone a good person beyond whether they have a dick or a vagina. Maybe women score higher in “empathy” in a study, but transl…

It's really not good advice though, or it's too vague to actually be useful. Idk, telling someone not to worry about something or to "focus on mental health" isn't really telling them anything imo. Maybe I'm just struggling to see why we should expect anyone to just ignore something as pressing as sexual desire for the good of their mental health, I mean of course it's all intertwined. Like sure, it'd be better if we didn't have as many frustrated men but we're kinda stuck with the biology we ha…

I think you're on to something. My frame is reference is a bit off because Nashville is the largest city I've lived in but I (6/10 guy with an average income) found it to be a tougher market than the smaller cities and towns I've called home. I can only imagine the barriers to entry would be even more pronounced in NYC or LA, which is one of several reasons I have no desire to move to a metro that big. So yea, I think big cities are probably awesome dating markets for best looking guys and moder…
