"No one would dream of talking to her about her genitalia or her nipples or any of those things." Well that's just nonsense: We Saw Your Boobs - Seth McFarlane - Oscars 2013 I'm all for calling out double standards, but this isn't one, there are just plenty of rude journalists and other media personalities.

Those are extreme outliers, and outliers aren't relevant to statistical discussion. I'm pretty sure 1's are aware of the reality of their situation; and even men who are physical 1's can land an attractive woman if they gain other traits like social proof and fame. You're right, most 1's are SOL, but TRP is about helping those who can be helped. I'm certain most of the guys who cry "incel" have the personal agency to fix the problem, either by lowering their standards or by self improvement/lear…

The entire point of red pill behaviour is to get into the 20% but you completely fail to acknowledge that the 80% are simply being out competed whether they are trying or not. This is just wrong. You're ignoring the fact that most of the 80% have standards way out of line with their current place in the SMP. The 80% are being out competed for the top 40% or 50% of women. It may seem unfair that a "natural" male 6 (one who hasn't learned game and changed their behavior accordingly) is unlikely to…

/r/frugalmalefasion /r/malefashionadvice Also, Jeans and a t-shirt is fine, they just have to be the right jeans and the right t-shirt. Fit is by far the most important thing here, most men wear clothing 1-2 sizes too large for them, it ends up looking sloppy. The /r/malefashionadvice sidebar is your best friend

The "Gary Cooper" strong silent type is a classic introvert alpha. Some examples: Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) in Casablanca, or pretty much any Humphrey Bogart role. The Driver (Ryan Gosling) in Drive The protagonist in pretty much any film noir movie.

I like having one because having a girl preemptively friend request you is a huge IOI. I never proactively friend girls, even ones I'm not interested in, because of how much information receiving a friend request from a girl is.

I started recently, it was simple as saying on a first date: I take non-exclusivity literally, which means I date more than one girl at a time. So far the two girls I've told haven't had a problem with it.

intoning us to not conflate genetics with culture, whatever that means. It means that certain behaviors we often associate with race, such as dressing like this, are unrelated to race, and instead are cultural. The majority of people of black African descent do not dress like this, but it gets associated with black people because the majority of people in this culture who dress like this happen to be black, exacerbated by the fact that hip-hop or hip-hop influenced musical genres are the most po…

The basic theory is that a person who perceives themselves as a lower SMV than their partner (regardless of whether or not it's true), will invest more in the relationship. Much of RP theory revolves around two basic things: raising the perception one's own SMV, and training yourself to perceive a girl's SMV as lower than it actually is. The first serves to get the girl to perceive that you are a higher SMV than her, and thus invest in you. The second serves to avoid investing too much because y…

I have to disagree, I think whoever is more invested in the relationship is going to have a harder time recovering. My last two girlfriends were pretty devastated when I broke up with them, because I was less invested than they were. You're going through this because you became more invested than she, which is why spinning plates is advised, it's hard to be the more invested one when you're investing in multiple girls.

"When women claim to be seeking kindness, respect, a sense of humor, etc., they mean at most that they would like to find these qualities in the men who are already within their erotic field of view. When a man asks what women are looking for, he is trying to find out how he can get into that field of view. Women do not normally say, either because they do not know themselves or because it embarrasses them to speak about it. The advice they do give harms a lot of lonely men who mistakenly concen…

Men, as a category, used to be wolves: independent, leaders, proud, able. But over the centuries we've been "twisted and tortured" into dogs: loyal, obedient, subservient, tools.

Sexual strategy does not go away once you get married. Marriage isn't the endgame for the Christian, it's the beginning. Go read through www.marriedmansexlife.com and you'll see that the red pill must persist through marriage. One of the biggest problems that happens is that men "let themselves go". In men that doesn't mean getting fat (although that can be part of it), but rather it's men giving up their leadership in the household. They let their wives run their lives and their wives lose thei…

“When a guy singles out a young woman in some romantic fashion, this means that one of two things is happening. Either he is trying to get her into bed dishonorably, or he is attempting to get her into bed honorably” -Doug Wilson The fact that your goal is to get a girl into bed honorably is irrelevant to the fact that you still have a sexual strategy. This strategy will look a bit different to someone who doesn't care about the Christian definition of honor in this area, but not all that differ…

It's part of the rationalization process. There are very few women who can chop their hair short and not lose 1 or 2 SMV points. So they see that women like Anne Hathaway or Emma Watson remain extremely desirable after chopping their hair off and they think "If I cut my hair off and people tell me it's cute I must be one of those rare women!" Then they do it, their friends tell them "Oh it's so cute!", and they now believe that they have raised their SMV, where in reality it's taken a nose dive.

I've heard a proverb that says: "Women pay each other compliments they don't mean. Men pay each other insults they don't mean." Like when a woman cuts her hair short and all her friends exclaim "OMG! It's so cute!!!"

The difference is between stated intent and actual practice. The stated intent of Feminism is often exactly what that wiki article says it is. However, practice is rather a different matter. It's like when a criminal biker gang calls themselves a "social club", or the KKK calls themselves a "political organization". In practice Feminism does not desire equality, it desires special privilege. See, in our modern culture you are afforded special protected status if you are perceived as being a mino…

What's funny is that in some sense their perception is accurate: we do project power and authority by spreading out and making ourselves take up more space.

Han Solo! I remember as a teenager completely identifying with Luke, and cringe now when I think about it. Note: Han has a pretty beta moment near the end of RotJ, but he'd already built up enough alpha capital that it didn't matter.

Oh, I think both lines of reasoning are false, it may well be true that wearing slutty clothing brings a greater chance of rape, but that's entirely irrelevant to whether or not a rapist is responsible for his actions. What a woman wears or doesn't should have nothing whatsoever to do with the moral or legal culpability of the rapist: wrong is wrong and rape is wrong. On the other hand, I think that these rape prevention campaigns on college campuses which essentially tell men not to rape are pr…

This line of reasoning is analogous to the line of reasoning that says women who wish to prevent rape should not wear slutty clothing, one which a lot of feminists object to. Both lines of reasoning use statistical thinking to avoid an unpleasant outcome, but that thinking is prejudicial to a particular gender. The fact is that you're less likely to be raped by a woman you hire than a man. However, the chance of you being raped by a man in the first place is pretty damn slim, so if you want to b…

my objection, as an MRA, is that i don't like the manipulation part. i don't think that anyone should manipulate with malicious intent for sex. What is a malicious intent for sex? That's a pretty broad negative there, and one not everyone agrees upon. For instance, a conservative Christian would say that any intent for sex outside the context of marriage is malicious intent, whereas there are liberals who would say that all consensual sexual contact is acceptable. Then you have to ask "what is m…

First a bit of Game theory: Men have two types of traits that are important in relationships with women: Comfort traits and attractiveness traits. Traditional "nice guys" are guys with high levels of comfort traits and low levels of attractiveness traits. Traditional "assholes" are guys who have high levels of attractiveness traits and low levels of comfort traits. Game is about teaching men the attractiveness traits, whether or not they have the comfort traits. So what feminists object to, and …

There's certainly nothing wrong with an initiative trying to stop violence against women, and if I thought for a second that this seminar is about non-violent people getting together to work to try and actually lessen violence I'd support it. However, the second part of the description is telling: "challenge violent masculinity". This tells me that instead it will be a bunch of non-violent guys getting shamed and berated for their "violent nature". I have a problem with this.

I've had two dates tell me how freaky (in a good way) it is that I can tell them as much about themselves as I do once I learn their MBTI type. An understanding of the cognitive function theory which is the foundation of the MBTI is extraordinarily useful information when trying to figure people out, especially potential dates.

Are skills really exclusively technical? Can attitude and self-esteem be intentionally developed, and if so is it done in a skillful manner? I don't think we can actually separate even technical skills from more ephemeral concepts like confidence. Take body language, for instance. Standing in an attractive and confident manner is a skill that can be practiced. But then there is research that says that merely placing your body in a more confident stance increases internal confidence. If that's th…

My reasoning is that a lot of people have very negative prejudices against game/seduction. The quote up there in particular presents the core concept in a morally neutral manner. The information that is shared on this reddit is relevant to all men, whether they are in a relationship or not, but the stereotype based on guys like Mystery turns a lot of guys off the concept. I was one of those guys for years.
