| 1 | Does self improvement cause men to become resentful towards women?From a purely biological cost perspective hypergamy makes sense. Pick a stronger partner, have stronger offspring. We dont live with purely biological costs. The lament of "she got half" being in the zeitgeist (drue or not) should tell us that were past that. So the question is, why are men willing to settle (even for sex). I understand that there is a biological component (spread thy seed) but one must also be a rational actor.
