That was at the start of Juliana Peña’s career, if I remember correctly only 1 year into training, and the guy was 6’3 and 200+ lbs. Not exactly your average joe. The difference is very big, but female pro fighters are still going to be able to take down most untrained men. But yeah, most women are not going to win most fights with most men.

In a 1-1 fight, 80% of men could beat 80% of women. The difference is massive. You’re thinking of a 1/3rd strength difference as a sort of oh just add in 1/3rd more women, do 1/3rd more punches, etc. type of thing. That’s not how it works, in a 1-1 fight. Men’s strength are concentrated in the upper body, which is most important for fighting. 75% of men’s strength, but it’s in the glutes, is really not helpful. That 50% difference in punching strength and grip strength though? Huge. It means the…

Untrained man is only beating Amanda Nunes if he’s 6 ft tall, close to 200lbs, and works out regularly. Technique matters, and UFC fighters are far stronger than normal women. Lots of 5’4 guys can’t do a pull up or bench a plate. Source: have met many of them and seen many of them at the gym. A serious female fighter could do that a dozen times. The gender strength difference is big, but it’s not that big.

The study you reference literally says that there’s also a substantial effect for women too. Criminal women are more likely to have more kids, just like criminal men. It’s not so much “women” being into those convict men so much as a highly unhinged subpopulation of society keeps on reproducing with each other. Men ALSO disproportionately choose to reproduce with terrible, obvious red flag women. But this is not representative of the broader population. Most of the men and women who choose to sl…

I completely agree with this. Best comment here.

Meh, if a guy complains to his best friend that his wife doesn’t give good head, I don’t think it’s the biggest deal? I mean if I were the wife it would be slightly hurt, but as long as the best friend doesn’t tell anyone, and it’s just a quick “I love her but need to get this off my chest”, I wouldn’t care too much. Complaining about being less tight after childbirth would piss me off. Childbirth (when it’s planned, in a loving relationship) is a bodily sacrifice the woman makes for the couple.…

I’ve never said we shouldn’t devote more resources to male victims of crime. I would love more homeless shelters for men, more empathy from judges for men, etc. None of that has much to do with the argument of who’s more or less safe? That’s a separate discussion about how we treat victims, one that we’d probably agree a lot on. Let’s say there’s a crazy gang running around specifically targeting Asian Americans. For a period of time, Asian Americans are victimized 5x more often than everyone el…

I don’t know enough about domestic abuse statistics, so I won’t argue with you on that. I fully agree that there needs to be more funding and more efforts to protect male victims. Discrediting and ignoring male victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse is completely unfair, and is a major societal failure. But you are wrong about safety overall, because you are forgetting one key bit of information - how drastically different men and women’s behaviors are. The average woman is much much more …

I literally directly stated in my first comment that Emmanuel Macron was groomed. I also said that Sam Taylor-Joseph is gross for marrying Aaron Taylor-Joseph because she’s much older and was basically his boss. Both of these women are worse than Leo in my book. You are creating gender distinctions where they do not exist. Some people who are against age gap relationships do have a double standard. I do not. You can argue with me all you like about whether an age gape is appropriate in general. …

Should and can are different things my dude. You can eat a gallon of Cheetos a day and balloon up to a thousand pounds. You shouldn’t get legally punished or get sent death threats for doing that. But there’s plenty of people who will reasonably look at you and think you’re gross for doing that.

Ok fair, I 100% agree with you then. That’s completely unacceptable.

I agree that they should legally be able to date who they want, and people should not harass them. But people online tweeting some funny jokes about the age gaps doesn’t bother me. It’s not like they’re boycotting Leo’s movies or sending them both death threats.

Money and status imbalance on its own - probably fine. One might be a gold digger and the other might just care about dating a hot young thing, but if both people are happy, sure why not. Age gap on its own - probably fine. Might have some weird manipulation, but sometimes that’s just how attraction works. Massive money gap, status gap, and age gap, and the older richer party has a history of dating younger people and never staying together past 25? Yeah that’s weird. Not saying that Leo is an a…

Yeah, most women are more attractive when younger. I’m not arguing that. But I still think Leo could date around other incredibly attractive women in Hollywood who are closer to his age, instead of literal 20 year olds. There are plenty of gorgeous Hollywood women in their 30’s. Maybe I’m biased though, because I think Winona Ryder at 51 is still more attractive than any woman Leo’s ever dated. Lol none of Leo’s model girlfriends are anywhere near as powerful as he is. They’re more powerful than…

No one’s saying dating a 19 year old should be illegal. But everyone is allowed to have their opinion on age gap relationships. Before you accuse me of misandry - yes I think that the standards should be applied to both genders. Emmanuel Macron was definitely groomed by his much older wife (his former high school teacher), for example. MILF Manor is gross - and I think most fans of the show would agree that they watch it because it’s gross, not because they think it’s ok. Fact of the matter is, …
