Yes, it is still a crime. It's an abuse of the power relationship and inappropriate due to the boy's age. But the harm or potential harm has to be factored into punishment.

Was he a willing partner? I know it still qualifies a statutory rape, and she was wrong to participate, but I think it's an injustice to victims of forced sex not to distinguish in some way.

It's a mixed bag. Nobody coming out saying that we need high profile feminists outting Walters a crackpot, but at least some casual acknowledgement that she's not representing what feminism should be.
