I'd rather not deal with diversity hires that actually can't code worth a shit. Shit was already infuriating enough in college. I had a professor basically write the entire project for my ex gf while he demanded my groups code be held to a higher standard. tbh most of the ridicule I get is "what are you some kind of homo?" Once I tell them that I was engaged and broke it off with my fiance to pursue my own hobbies they usually shut up. Deep down they know they wish they could do the same. It's not being selfish it's just not being a servant to others for nothing worthwhile in return.
